Rebirth: I Became a Maggot 2

Chapter 48 Is she good-looking?

I finally woke up from that bizarre dream, and the instant I woke up I knew I had succeeded, because I could feel my hands and feet and the wings behind me.

That means I've really become a fly now, which means everything I do will be much easier from now on.

When I woke up, that dream was still echoing in my mind, waiting for me, waiting for me to become human again, and that kind of happy life would come to me.

"Twenty-two cents, twenty-two cents," Dafu's voice rang out once again.

"I'm here, I'm here," I quickly replied.

"You're finally awake! I thought you weren't going to wake up," Dafu said, unusually happy to hear my voice.

"How could that be? I still have so many things to do." I said confidently as I lay inside.

Just wait until I soar to the sky! Once I've turned into a fly, let's see who dares to bully me!

I thought to myself with great pride, "Let's see how those damn frogs and those damn termites will bully me again. I'll show you how I'll torment you to death."

I thought about it with great enthusiasm, and as I thought about it, I wanted to push aside the thick swarm of insects.

But suddenly something really frustrating happened that made me both laugh and cry. The wormhole was so thick and heavy that I couldn't open it. I thought, "Isn't this ridiculous?"

Luckily, there are no other people here, and no one knows what I'm thinking right now. If someone saw me just moments ago full of confidence and then suddenly unable to even get out, they would laugh me to death.

"Um... is Dafu still there?" I asked, feeling quite frustrated.

"Yes, yes," Dafu replied cheerfully.

"I can't get out, how am I supposed to get out?" I asked, feeling very frustrated.

"Just bite it open! Now you have teeth, you can bite whatever you want, bite whatever you don't like," Dafu said arrogantly.

I suddenly felt that Dafu must have never had teeth before, and now that he finally has them, he's filled with resentment. Now that he finally has teeth, he's going to make good use of them. This is a typical nouveau riche mentality.

After hearing what Dafu said, I immediately used my teeth to bite the worm. I thought it would feel like eating grass, but to my surprise, there was a juice similar to coconut milk on the worm.

It tasted weird, I can't quite describe it, but it wasn't tasty. But I had to bite into it like crazy so I could get out of there.

After a lot of effort, they finally managed to bite a small hole, but they still couldn't climb out of it.

The hole was too small, so I had to use my hands, feet, and even my mouth to bite it frantically, hoping to squeeze out as soon as possible. Staying in this damn little hole was just too unpleasant.

It's true that hard work pays off! I was almost exhausted before I finally managed to dig out a hole big enough for me to squeeze through.

I quickly crawled out, feeling incredibly happy. I had finally become a fly, and my chance to soar to the sky had finally arrived.

I was incredibly excited, which is a normal human reaction. When you achieve something groundbreaking, your confidence swells dramatically. That's how I felt right now. I felt that once I could fly, the entire sky would be mine.

"One cent and two cents, that's great! You've finally transformed. I thought you'd be a dead fish." Dafu's voice came from the side, his voice still so pleasant, his tone still so impatient.

It's like being reincarnated! It's so amazing! You can change just by sleeping, but you might never wake up from that sleep.

"Well, I'm finally alive again. Thank you so much. If it weren't for you, I might have been sleeping like this forever," I said with great emotion.

"It's what I should do," Dafu said very quietly.

"How long have you been out?" I asked, looking around at the dark surroundings with a sense of frustration.

"I don't know, it seems like it's been a long time. The sun has come out two or three times already, it should be two or three days now," Dafu said uncertainly.

"You haven't gone out at all?" I asked, quite puzzled.

"No, I was worried something might happen to you, so I stayed by your side the whole time. But thankfully you're alright," Dafu said happily.

"What have you been eating these days?" I asked, quite curious.

"The food we didn't finish before, we can still eat it now. I'll eat this and that, but it seems to taste a little different," Dafu said honestly.

At that moment, I suddenly remembered that they had prepared a lot of food for us when we came in. Had it all gone wrong? How long had we been asleep? And Dafu had been waiting for me for several days. Had it really been a long time?

"Let's go, let's go out! Now we can fly out and find some delicious food!" I said happily.

"Okay, let's go." So we crawled towards the door, and when we came out, there were two ants still guarding the entrance. I suppose it was arranged by the Queen.

When they saw me come out, the two ants were overjoyed and quickly crawled off to report the news, perhaps to tell the queen that I had come out.

Once outside, I could finally see what Dafu looked like. Dafu had turned into a black fly, but how come such a huge maggot looked a little smaller than me after turning into a fly? I wondered where all the food he ate went.

Its eyes are very big, but inside those big eyes are countless tiny lenses, which must be the secondary eyes of a fly. Its body has also changed, with six thin legs standing on the ground. Its forelimbs are two relatively short legs, which should be considered its hands.

The wings behind him were almost translucent, with fine lines on them. There were two pairs of wings, one large and one small.

Looking at the familiar yet unfamiliar daifuku in front of me, I had a strange feeling. Before, it was a maggot, but now it has become a fly. At least a fly is much better than a maggot.

"What are you looking at?" Dafu asked, puzzled.

"Look at you," I said honestly, after all, it was the first time I had ever seen a maggot turn into a fly, and I had even experienced it myself.

"Am I pretty?" Dafu asked shyly.

Oh my god, judging from Dafu's tone, I knew I was doomed and had been misunderstood. What should I say? Can I say I was just curious? That I've never seen a fly before?

Have you never seen this close before? I'm just curious, just pure curiosity, nothing more, really nothing at all.

But what really frustrates me is that I don't know how to explain it. If I say it like this, Dafu will definitely think that I am lying, which is why I said it. How could a fly be curious about another fly?

If you're staring at something so intently, what else could it be but interesting?

I almost cried when faced with Dafu's question. How was I supposed to answer it?
