The socially awkward villain's furry superpower
Chapter 28 Best Bearman
Teddy suddenly rushed into the parking lot in front of the pizza shop, took three steps, and then stopped and looked around.
She wondered where that slippery bastard who tried to hurt Sienna had gone.
The sound from the side made her turn toward the path between the pizzeria and the fence of the house next door.
Teddy ran over just in time and saw the bastard climb over the top of the fence and jump into the yard on the other side.
At the same time, Meraton came around from behind. "Where?" the heroine asked.
“Over there by the fence!” Teddy replied.
The fence was far too high for Teddy; she couldn't possibly climb over it, and transforming into a bear to break through it would take a considerable amount of time.
When Meraton leaped over the edge of the fence and jumped to the other side shouting "Stop, damn it!", Teddy couldn't help but pout in annoyance.
Teddy ran into the street, ran past the first house as fast as she could, then past another, and finally, when she reached the third house, she saw that bastard running away by someone else's pool.
Meraton is still a yard behind.
That was her chance!
She charged at the guy, yelling with all her might in her tiny human throat.
The bastard stared at her with wide eyes, then swung his arm in a wide half-circle.
Teddy only had time to roll over before a large spray of oil flew over her head.
"You bastard!" she yelled at the man's retreating back as she rolled and fell to the ground, while he continued to flee.
Meraton also jumped into the yard where they were, so at least she bought the heroine some time, but Teddy didn't want it to end there!
She roared as she began to chase after the two men, transforming into a terrifying bear.
She made sure the mask was still on top of the bear-shaped body, because Sienna had said it was important.
The rubber band was stretched very long, but it hadn't broken yet.
The pleasant voice of the British man who made the documentary echoed in her mind: "North American grizzly bears can reach speeds of up to 55 kilometers per hour."
Compared to the average human running speed of 24 kilometers per hour, a bear running at full speed appears far more ferocious and terrifying!
"My God! What the hell is going on!" Meraton screamed as Teddy sped past her, crashing through a wooden door.
The moment she broke through the fence, Teddy was a little disoriented, but she could find that slippery bastard just by sniffing him out.
The man glanced back at her, hurled a few nasty insults, and then ran even faster.
"No! You can't escape!" Teddy roared.
Her roar in bear form was far more frightening than her usual girlish roar, because the man's scent changed from the original smell of oil and pizza to a mixture of oil, pizza, and a foul stench of feces.
He jumped over another fence, the kind with metal posts connected by chains.
Judging from the hissing sound he made when he grabbed the top of the fence, his hand was cut by the small metal hooks at the top.
Great! Teddy hoped that the damage he suffered would be the same as, or even worse than, the damage he caused to Sienna.
The iron chain mesh couldn't withstand the powerful impact of a one-ton bear. Teddy rammed into it, and the entire fence collapsed to the ground.
The grumbling boy was still cursing, while reaching into his pocket and rummaging for something.
Then he took out a lighter, turned it sharply, and lit it.
Teddy roared, and a stream of burning liquid spurted from the boy's hand, splashing onto her fur.
This was no ordinary fire; ordinary fire would only burn on her thick fur. This was a damp fire that could seep in and burn through the fur.
It hurts terribly!
"Try this," the boy said.
Then Teddy stood on its hind legs, raised one of its big, furry paws, and slapped down hard.
The bear defeated the slippery boy.

Teddy slumped back and began licking the fur from the most severely burned areas.
Most of the burns were on her shoulder, and a little on her left front paw.
Although the fire was out, those areas still hurt, and her hair was all tangled and burnt, smelling terrible.
"Well done," Meraton said as he ran over.
She was a little out of breath, but seemed to be in pretty good shape; not too bad.
The heroine bent down beside the fallen, slippery boy and placed her hand on his head. "Watch over him for me."
“Okay,” Teddy replied.
The lights were on in the surrounding houses, and she could see some people looking out of their windows, and some people holding their phones to their ears.
This is not good.
Teddy heard someone approaching from behind and turned around to find Sienna.
“Teddy!” Sienna called out.
“Boss,” Teddy replied, “I got burned.”
"Oh my god, no way." Sienna, ignoring her own panting, went over to Teddy to check her wound.
She didn't touch the wound, but simply held her hand up, as if she didn't know what to do. "If you turn back into human form, will the wound still be there?"
In response, Teddy reverted to her boring, normal human body, raising one hand to make sure the mask was properly on her face.
Sienna frowned as she looked at the ugly burns on Teddy's shoulders and arms that weren't covered by his dress.
"We need to pour some water on it, and maybe even wrap it with bandages."
"OK, all right."
“Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?” Sienna asked.
Teddy nodded. "Pizza."
"Pizza?"
"It has to be the kind with lots of meat," Teddy confirmed.
“After you two finish discussing tonight’s dinner plans,” Meraton said, “we might have a few more things to discuss.”
The heroine stood up from beside the slick young man who had been knocked unconscious and looked around.
“Oh no. The police will be here soon.” She gestured to Sienna and Teddy. “You two have to go first.”
We don't want you getting bogged down in paperwork and the questions they'll ask.
You haven't actually committed any crimes, but in principle, they'll still take you away, and you'll have to deal with the recruiters for the next week.
“That’s terrible,” Sienna said.
“That’s really bad,” Meraton agreed. “Let’s leave for a bit. I’ll call you tomorrow and share what I’ve found out about our target.”
“Oh, okay,” Sienna said. “Hmm, tonight… hmm, it was quite educational?”
"Yes, that's true. You two be careful, okay?"
Sienna nodded, grabbed Teddy's uninjured hand, and pulled her away.
"Shall we go get some pizza now?" Teddy asked.
Sienna took a moment to answer. “You know what, Teddy? I think so.”
"That's fantastic!" A double reward!
"But we need to change our clothes first, and, well, maybe we can pack it up and take it back to the dorm to eat?"
"That way we can go straight to sleep after eating. The eldest is really smart. Hmm, I like this idea."
"Okay, okay, and, um, Teddy?"
"What's wrong, boss?"
"Thank you, you did a really great job tonight."
Teddy grinned proudly. Triple reward! This was truly the best night ever.
