The day before, it felt like everything was coming at once, but today it's unusually quiet. This change is a bit strange.

That day, she got up, washed up, went to class, did some homework during the break, and finished her studies around noon.

Everything was perfectly normal and unremarkable.

On her way back to her dorm, she stopped by a pastry shop and bought some donuts (not all of them were honey-glazed... but a few were), and also a strong coffee to perk herself up, before walking home.

Similarly, everything was uneventful.

Her room was a bit messier than she had expected. Two empty pizza boxes were lying on the desk, and half a box of fries was scattered on the floor, stretching all the way to the mattress, like a string of incriminating evidence, but Sienna could ignore it.

Teddy was there, her belly sticking out, her mouth wide open, fast asleep. Her whole belly was bulging, undoubtedly from the two large pizzas she'd eaten the night before.

“Teddy?” Sienna asked after closing the door.

Teddy slightly opened one eye and stared at her. She mumbled something indistinctly, which could be barely made out as "Boss?"

“I bought donuts,” Sienna said.

Teddy responded with a painful groan and tried to roll over to her side, but her stomach and the wobbly mattress worked against her, and she couldn't roll over.

"I, uh, put them on the table."

"Mmm-hmm," Teddy replied.

Sienna stopped beside Teddy's bed and examined her arm.

The burn marks are still there, but they are not as noticeable after one night.

So Teddy's recovering pretty quickly. That's good; Sienna didn't know what to do if they went to the hospital.

She placed the donut box on the desk, then checked if there were any left in the pizza box (there weren't), and then piled them aside.

Because she was in cleaning mode at the moment, she picked up the fries that had been scattered all over the floor and tidied everything up by the door so that she could take it out to throw away later.

After doing all that, she sat down, took out her laptop, and prepared to eat while browsing the internet to look up something.

She first browsed her usual websites, but even the newly released pictures of adorable kittens and puppies only elicited a brief "wow" from her before she lost interest and turned to check the local news.

However, she didn't look for it on mainstream news websites, since she wasn't rich and those websites all had paywalls. She found Eauclaire's forum section.

The first pinned post made her feel as if she had fallen into an ice cave.

Local hero Meraton and two mysterious figures subdue arsonists!

Published: Yesterday at 6:54 PM Author: Arthur Mac

Around 4 a.m. last night, local heroine Meraton was seen chasing a young man who was not wearing a mask and had fire control abilities.

This famous hero is accompanied by two other people. One is a young woman who can transform into a bear (see picture!), and the other is dressed in 20s-style gangster clothing and does not exhibit any obvious superpowers.

When the bear-turned heroine caught the arsonist, Meraton knocked him unconscious, and the arsonist was successfully captured.

Police have not yet commented, but Meraton's agent tweeted that Meraton is excited to work with these up-and-coming newcomers to eliminate this threat.

Tip: Don't mess with that bear.

That subduing operation was quite brutal. I'm starting to wonder if it was even legal? It felt like a classic case of excessive use of force.

Don't be foolish. That guy wanted to set her on fire! And she's a minor.

This kid isn't even a registered Masked Man. What was Meraton thinking taking her there?

Capone? The Head Honcho? Or perhaps a more feminine name? Like Femme Fatale?

There aren't many clues. His attire makes him look like... a chef? He looks pretty dirty. His superpower doesn't seem to be direct fire control, but rather the ability to manipulate a liquid flame? Maybe something like napalm? His attack range and speed are decent, but not outstanding.

So... when will Ursa Minor merchandise be released?

She definitely seems to have a lot of market potential. And she's still a child; how difficult could it be to get her to sign a contract to sell merchandise?

They first have to join a company team, then they get officially customized uniforms, then they get approval, and then... so, it'll probably take about a month.

Sienna covered her head with her hands.

There's so much information about them online, including pictures and videos. She has no doubt that someone is already trying to uncover their true identities.

The only saving grace was that they weren't too close to anyone else, and the lighting was also very poor.

Most of the photos were taken amateurishly and were of low quality, so this information may not be sufficient to confirm their identities.

Moreover, they were filmed doing heroic deeds, so... that's alright, isn't it?

Her phone started buzzing.

Sienna's heart sank. She took her phone out of her bag to check the number. The screen displayed Meraton's number, along with a message.

Mel: Are you free?

Sienna took a deep breath, unlocked her phone, and replied.

Sienna Isabella (S-Iabella): Available.

Mela: Okay. I've received some information, but I'm being questioned because of yesterday's incident. I've already had Handshaw send you the message; remember to check your email.

Sienna Isabella: Okay. Thank you.

Sienna put her phone aside and opened her email client. She easily found the email from Handshaw.

This was the only email she received that week that was neither an advertisement nor a scam.

However, the email was surprisingly brief, containing only two addresses, yet Homi's address could still be found.

At the end of the email, the informant added a rather unpleasant "Good luck."

Sienna leaned back in her chair, thinking about how bad things would get if she went there alone (with Teddy, of course) and tried to deal with that villain by herself.

She felt the chances of winning were slim.

And how would Homi react if he lost someone who could serve him and had superpowers?

She bit her lip and began deep breathing exercises to calm her heartbeat. If she couldn't resolve the situation all at once, she had to break it down and analyze it.

First, she needs to find out where Homi is, then, ideally with the enraged Teddy, corner him, and then... get the hard drive back.

For all of this to go smoothly, she would need to have incredibly good luck.

A thought suddenly flashed through her mind, and she quickly turned around in her chair, "Teddy!"

"Hmm?" Teddy mumbled a response.

“Teddy…where was the last time you saw Aleya Iakta?”
