Agreed glanced at his tragically murdered friend, then at the empty plain behind him, and roared at the God of Light, "I'm sorry, but I don't have the habit of being someone's dog."

But Agreed later believed it was the stupidest decision he had ever made, because it was because of that one sentence that his life was completely ruined.

The God of Light looked at the stubborn man before him and said angrily, "You vile reptile, you really don't know what's good for you! Since that's how it is, I will let you experience the ultimate pain before you die." As he spoke, a door made of golden light appeared beside the God of Light, and Agred's wife and daughter were instantly pulled out of the door by the God of Light.

Agreed was instantly terrified, for he knew what the God of Light was about to do.

"I'm willing to surrender, I'm willing, you... please, please let them go! Don't blame my wife and daughters, take it all out on me, please let them go!" Agreed's previous unwavering defiance vanished, replaced by a trembling voice pleading.

The God of Light looked at him with amusement and said, "If only you had been more sensible earlier. Unfortunately, I only give people one chance. I'm sorry, little guy, you didn't seize the opportunity." As he spoke, the God of Light drew a huge halo in the air, which enveloped Hepburn and Serena's heads and then unfolded into a huge transparent sphere of light that surrounded the two of them.

Agreed watched the shouts from the resting place, no longer caring about anything else, and frantically cursed the God of Light. But the God of Light ignored him, only raising his hands in a mad frenzy and shouting, "Let the show begin!"

After saying this, the mother and daughter, who were encased in the ball of light, began to be burned. Their skin was constantly being burned away. Serena let out a miserable cry. Hepburn immediately hugged her daughter, trying to shield her from the all-pervasive burning with her own body.

Agreed watched this scene and screamed desperately. He resisted the weight on his body and scrambled to the ball of light, pounding on its outer wall with his fists. The God of Light watched this and mocked, "Stop struggling. That's something only a demigod can break. Just stay there and enjoy their show."

Despite the excruciating pain, Hepburn comforted her daughter, saying, "Baby, be good. Don't cry, and don't let Daddy see you, or Daddy will be in a lot of pain."

Serena seemed to truly understand. She forced herself not to make a sound and looked at her father, who was constantly crashing outside. She called out to Agreed, "Daddy, I won't cry, Daddy, save Mommy."

"Aaaaaaahhhhh!!!" Agreed frantically slammed his hands and head against the ball of light, even though his forehead and palms were swollen purple and covered in blood, he still desperately pounded on the energy barrier that was like an insurmountable chasm.

Time sometimes passes very slowly, and sometimes very quickly. In no time, Hepburn and Serena had been burned to a crisp and turned into skeletons. Agreed's eyes were glazed over, and he mechanically repeated the pounding motions. His daughter's cries, Haya's screams, and their desperate expressions echoed in his mind.

The God of Light walked up to Agreed with a smile and asked wickedly, "Having seen this wonderful performance, what do you have to say?"

Agreed raised his head and glared fiercely at him, his voice hoarse as he said, "If I don't die, I will exterminate your entire clan! Alfheim, is that it? I'll remember that, Baldr, the god of light. I will use the blood of your entire clan to atone for my wife and daughters!!"

The God of Light seemed to have heard a huge joke, and laughed disdainfully, saying, "You think you can still live? You little reptile, remember in your next life that there are some things you can't afford to mess with. Now I'll be merciful and send you and your wife and children to reunite, using the same way to die." After saying that, a scorching light flashed, and Agreed was instantly burned into a skeleton.

The God of Light then manipulated his avatar back to the Holy City of Light, and then withdrew from this world, returning everything to the Church of Light.

After that, the Church of Light swept through all human kingdoms with overwhelming force, and humanity was unified, ushering in a new era.

But no one expected that the man would come back many years later!

After Agreed's death, his soul transformed into a luminous glow, dwelling in the boundless darkness. Tutankhamun's voice echoed in his mind once more, "Do you crave power? Do you crave revenge? Become a ghost, become my successor, become the 'Grand Duke of the Dead' who will terrify the gods!"

Finally, Agreed's soul gladly accepted, saying, "Very well, then become a ghost. Give me power!"

Tutankhamun's voice rang out again, demanding, "What are you willing to give up for power?"

“Everything! I’m willing to give up everything I have now, including my soul!” Agred’s soul trembled as he spoke.

"As you wish, then."

Then Agreed's soul began to experience terrible pain. He could feel his soul burning, like a 'sky lantern' being lit, but it was different. The burning soul energy would return to his soul to nourish it and ensure that the soul would not be burned to ashes, just like making a stagnant pool flow again and giving it life.

Just as Agred was at the crucial moment of his transformation into an undead, Tutankhamun appeared. Looking ahead, he laughed triumphantly, then shouted, "Finally, you've finally reached this point! Give me your soul. Don't worry, I will kill those gods and avenge you!" With that, Tutankhamun charged into Agred's newly ignited soul fire. Agred's soul instantly felt an even more intense, piercing pain. Just as Tutankhamun was about to devour Agred's soul to regenerate himself, a fiery red energy hand silently appeared, grabbed Tutankhamun, and sealed him inside a pendant.

"How is this possible?! What's going on?!" Tutankhamun exclaimed in astonishment at the scene.

Agreed's soul looked at him and explained, "You have a terrible memory. Have you forgotten the soul-capturing artifact I bought from the demon? You've been captured by it now."

Tutankhamun asked through gritted teeth, "You've been on guard against me all along! When did you start to doubt me?"

"From the moment my teacher taught me the Soul Gathering Technique, I knew it was all a deception," Agred coldly analyzed. "The Soul Gathering Technique already existed in your time. I believe that with your intelligence, you couldn't possibly have missed the flaws in the Styx Soul Forging Technique. Yet you only taught me the Styx Soul Forging Technique. What does that mean? It means you only wanted my soul to become a bloated 'fat man' rather than a terrifying mage. But why? This was something I couldn't understand at first. Then I suddenly remembered what you said. You claimed you were an artificial intelligence created by replicating all of Tutankhamun's memories. But then I thought, having already possessed thought and all of his intelligence, aren't you already Tutankhamun himself?! And you're only one step away from becoming a true life form—that is, accepting the Styx baptism and possessing a true soul!! But you can't do it. You're just an artificial life form, and clinging to life with that little energy is already your limit. Therefore, you desperately need to devour a person's soul to become a true life form!!!"
