Love and choices across time and space

Su Chen's arrival brought endless joy to Su Ran and Lin Wan'er's lives, but also brought a series of challenges. For this pair of new parents, every new situation was like an unknown adventure.

On a quiet night, moonlight streamed down the bedroom windowsill like water. Lin Wan'er had just coaxed Su Chen to sleep and tiptoed out of the nursery, her face etched with fatigue.

"Wan'er, go to sleep for a while, I'll watch over you." Su Ran said with concern.

Lin Wan'er nodded and said, "Well, be careful, Su Chen might kick the quilt."

However, before Lin Wan'er lay down for long, she heard Su Ran's cry: "Wan'er, come quickly, Su Chen is vomiting milk!"

Lin Wan'er instantly jumped up from the bed and rushed into the baby's room. She saw Su Chen's face flushed red, with milk stains on the corners of his mouth.

"Don't panic, don't panic." Lin Wan'er comforted Su Ran while skillfully picking up Su Chen and gently patting his back.

"What's going on?" Su Ran asked anxiously.

"Maybe he ate too much, or his posture after feeding was wrong." Lin Wan'er explained.

After some treatment, Su Chen finally calmed down and fell asleep again. Lin Wan'er and Su Ran smiled at each other and breathed a sigh of relief.

During the day, Su Ran was reading a newspaper in the living room when he suddenly heard Lin Wan'er's scream coming from the kitchen.

He rushed over and saw Lin Wan'er frantically holding a towel. There was a broken bottle and spilled milk on the ground.

"What's wrong, Wan'er?" Su Ran asked.

"I wanted to heat up milk for Su Chen, but I accidentally knocked over the bottle." Lin Wan'er looked helpless.

Su Ran took the towel with a smile, "It's okay, I'll clean it up, you can heat up another bottle."

As Su Chen grew older, he began to learn to roll over and crawl. Once, Lin Wan'er went to the balcony to dry some clothes, and when she came back, she found Su Chen had fallen off the bed and was crying loudly.

"Baby, don't cry, don't cry, mom was wrong." Lin Wan'er picked up Su Chen with heartache and checked if he was injured.

Su Ran heard the crying and ran in, "How is it, Wan'er?"

"Fortunately, nothing happened. I can't let him stay alone in bed anymore." Lin Wan'er said self-reproachfully.

When Su Chen started teething, he drooled all the time and loved chewing things. Lin Wan'er bought him a teething stick, but Su Chen seemed more interested in other things and often put toys in his mouth.

"Su Chen, you can't eat this." Lin Wan'er took the toy out of his mouth again and again.

Su Ran smiled and said, "This little guy is really naughty."

One day, Su Chen suddenly developed a high fever and his face turned red. Lin Wan'er and Su Ran were extremely worried.

"Let's go to the hospital quickly." Su Ran picked up Su Chen and walked out the door.

In the hospital, Lin Wan'er kept comforting the crying Su Chen, while Su Ran was busy registering and paying.

After examining him, the doctor said it was just a common cold and prescribed some medicine. Back home, Lin Wan'er and Su Ran took turns caring for Su Chen, staying up all night.

"I hope Su Chen gets better soon." Lin Wan'er said with concern as she looked at Su Chen who was sleeping soundly.

When Su Chen called "Mom and Dad" for the first time, Lin Wan'er and Su Ran were so excited that their eyes were filled with tears.

"Scream again, baby." Su Ran said excitedly.

"Dad, Mom." Su Chen's childish voice sounded again.

As Su Chen learned to walk, the house became even more lively. He was always touching here and there, never stopping for a moment.

"Su Chen, be careful, don't fall." Lin Wan'er followed behind, always worried.

Once, Su Chen accidentally bumped into the corner of the table, and a big bump appeared on his head. He cried heartbreakingly.

"Baby, don't cry, mommy will blow on it for you." Lin Wan'er hugged Su Chen, tears welling up in her eyes.

Su Ran comforted him from the side: "It's okay, it's normal for children to have bumps and bruises."

Su Chen started going to kindergarten. On the first day, he held Lin Wan'er's hand tightly and was reluctant to go in.

"Mom, I don't want to leave you." Su Chen said crying.

"Baby, there are many children and fun toys in the kindergarten. Go and try it out. Mom will pick you up in the afternoon." Lin Wan'er coaxed patiently.

Su Ran also squatted down, "Son, be brave, Dad believes in you."

With their encouragement, Su Chen finally entered the kindergarten.

In the evening, Su Chen returned home and excitedly told them what happened in kindergarten.

"Mom and Dad, the teacher taught us to sing today." Su Chen sang and danced.

Lin Wan'er and Su Ran couldn't help laughing at his cute appearance.

Su Chen made a small card in the handicraft class in kindergarten and gave it to Lin Wan'er after returning home.

"Mom, this is a gift from me to you. I love you." Su Chen said.

Lin Wan'er was so moved that she hugged him and said, "Baby, Mommy loves you too."

On the weekend, the family went to the park for a picnic. Su Chen ran on the grass and flew a kite.

"Dad, Mom, come and chase me." Su Chen smiled happily.

Lin Wan'er and Su Ran chased after him, their laughter echoing throughout the park.

On the road of parenting, although Lin Wan'er and Su Ran encountered various situations, they always supported each other and accompanied Su Chen in his growth.

One day, Su Chen came back from kindergarten with tear marks on his face.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Lin Wan'er asked.

"The kids said my paintings are ugly." Su Chen said aggrievedly.

"How could that be, baby? You draw very well. Don't care about what others say." Lin Wan'er comforted her.

Su Ran also came over and said, "Son, everyone has different aesthetic tastes. You have to believe in yourself."

Su Chen nodded, "Yeah, I understand."

In the evening, Lin Wan'er and Su Ran accompanied Su Chen to repaint a picture, and Su Chen's mood finally improved.

As Su Chen entered elementary school, learning problems also followed.

"How do I solve this problem, Mom?" Su Chen asked while holding his math homework.

Lin Wan'er patiently explained to him, "Look, first do this, then this..."

Su Ran watched from the side, "Wan'er, you're explaining it too complicatedly. Let me do it."

As a result, Su Ran talked for a long time, but Su Chen still didn't understand.

Lin Wan'er smiled and said, "Then Dad will study hard again."

Once, Su Chen didn’t do well in an exam and was in a very depressed mood.

With the encouragement of Lin Wan'er and Su Ran, Su Chen's academic performance gradually improved.

The school organized a sports meet, and Su Chen signed up for the running race. On the day of the race, Lin Wan'er and Su Ran came to school early to cheer him on.

"Su Chen, come on, Su Chen, come on!" they shouted loudly.

Hearing their cheers, Su Chen ran harder and eventually won first place.

"Son, you're awesome!" Lin Wan'er and Su Ran ran over and hugged Su Chen.
