Love and choices across time and space

The days passed slowly, filled with anticipation and anxiety, as Lin Wan'er's pregnancy drew to a close. One day, as usual, she sat on the balcony, basking in the sun and feeling the baby's movements. Suddenly, a strong contraction hit, and her face turned pale.

"Su Ran, I think I'm about to give birth." Lin Wan'er said in a trembling voice.

Su Ran was preparing lunch in the kitchen when he heard Lin Wan'er's cry and nearly dropped the spatula in his hand. He rushed to the balcony in two steps. Seeing Lin Wan'er's pained expression, he felt a panic in his heart, but he quickly calmed down.

"Don't be afraid, Wan'er, I'll take you to the hospital right away." Su Ran said as he carefully supported Lin Wan'er towards the door.

When my parents-in-law heard the noise, they hurried out of the room.

"What's wrong? Is the baby about to be born?" asked the mother-in-law anxiously.

My mother-in-law quickly grabbed the delivery bag that had been prepared long ago and got into the car with me.

The car sped along the road, Su Ran's hands tightly gripping the steering wheel, her eyes occasionally glancing at Lin Wan'er in the passenger seat. Lin Wan'er's forehead was covered in sweat, and she bit her lip, enduring wave after wave of contractions.

"Wan'er, hold on, we'll be at the hospital soon." Su Ran comforted her.

Finally, the car stopped at the hospital entrance. Su Ran quickly got out, picked up Lin Wan'er, and ran to the delivery room. The doctor and nurse were already ready and pushed Lin Wan'er into the delivery room.

Su Ran and her mother-in-law waited anxiously outside the delivery room, and time seemed to stretch ever longer. Every time Lin Wan'er's cries reached her, Su Ran's heart tightened.

"Son, don't worry too much. Wan'er will be fine and the baby will be born safely." The mother-in-law said, holding Su Ran's hand.

Su Ran nodded, but her eyes never left the door of the delivery room.

After an unknown amount of time, a baby's cry was heard from the delivery room. Su Ran and her mother-in-law stood up at once, their faces showing joy.

After a while, the doctor came out of the delivery room and said with a smile: "Congratulations, both mother and child are safe, it's a lovely boy."

Su Ran was so excited that she almost cried, and asked quickly, "Can I go in and take a look?"

The doctor nodded, and Su Ran couldn't wait to walk into the delivery room.

Lin Wan'er lay on the delivery bed, her face pale but her eyes filled with happiness and fatigue. Beside her lay a tiny baby with a rosy face, eyes tightly closed, and its little hands waving constantly.

Su Ran walked to Lin Wan'er, held her hand, and said softly, "Wan'er, you've worked hard."

Lin Wan'er smiled weakly: "Come and see our baby."

Su Ran carefully picked up the baby and looked at his cute appearance, her heart filled with emotion and joy.

"He looks so much like you." Lin Wan'er said.

"No, he is as beautiful as you." Su Ran said.

At this time, the father-in-law also rushed to the hospital. He was so happy to hear that the mother and child were safe that he couldn't stop smiling.

The whole family gathered around Lin Wan'er and the baby, their faces filled with happy smiles.

During the few days in the hospital, Su Ran took meticulous care of Lin Wan'er and the baby. He fed Lin Wan'er, wiped her body, changed diapers for the baby, and fed her. Although he was busy, his heart was filled with sweetness.

"Wan'er, you have worked so hard. The baby is so cute." said a relative.

At night, when everything was quiet, Su Ran and Lin Wan'er lay in bed, looking at Su Chen sleeping in the crib next to them, their hearts filled with emotion.

As time went by, Su Chen grew up day by day. Every little movement and expression of his made Su Ran and Lin Wan'er very happy.

One day, Su Chen suddenly developed a high fever, and Lin Wan'er and Su Ran were extremely anxious.

On Su Chen's third birthday, his family held a grand party and all his relatives and friends came to celebrate his birthday.
