Love and choices across time and space

Ever since the news of Lin Wan'er's pregnancy came out, the whole family has been immersed in joy and anticipation, and Su Ran and his family have given her meticulous care.

In the early morning, sunlight filtered through the thin curtains, spilling into the cozy bedroom. Su Ran always got up quietly, afraid to wake Lin Wan'er, who was still asleep. He would first go to the kitchen to prepare a nutritious breakfast: fresh fruit salad, warm milk, and carefully baked whole-wheat bread.

When Lin Wan'er slowly woke up, Su Ran would smile and walk into the room with breakfast, gently placing the tray on the small table beside the bed. "Good morning, dear. It's time to have breakfast to replenish your nutrition." His voice was gentle and full of love.

Lin Wan'er sat up and leaned against the headboard, while Su Ran carefully placed a soft pillow behind her. She looked at the sumptuous breakfast in front of her, feeling deeply moved. "Su Ran, thank you for being so attentive every day."

Su Ran held her hand and kissed it gently. "This is what I should do. The health of you and the baby is the most important."

During the day, no matter how busy Su Ran was at work, he would always call Lin Wan'er regularly to check on her. "Wan'er, how are you feeling today? Are you feeling unwell?"

Lin Wan'er always replied with a smile: "I'm fine, don't worry."

After get off work, Su Ran would rush home immediately. He would walk with Lin Wan'er in the neighborhood, his hand always carefully placed around her waist.

"Su Ran, who do you think the baby will look like in the future?" Lin Wan'er gently stroked her slightly bulging belly as she walked.

Su Ran smiled and said, "No matter who she looks like, she will definitely be cute."

On weekends, her mother-in-law would come home with bags of food and make all sorts of nourishing soups for Lin Wan'er. "Wan'er, you should drink more soup when you're pregnant. It's good for the baby," her mother-in-law said as she bustled around in the kitchen.

The father-in-law would help out and ask Lin Wan'er about her taste preferences from time to time.

Lin Wan'er sat in the living room, smelling the aroma coming from the kitchen, her heart warmed. "Dad, Mom, thank you for your hard work."

My mother-in-law poked her head out of the kitchen and said, "It's not hard. As long as you and the baby are healthy, we are willing to do anything."

Lin Wan'er's parents also often come to visit her, bringing various maternity products and baby clothes and toys.

"Wan'er, this is a small sweater I knitted for my baby. Take a look and see if you like it." Mother Lin took a small and cute sweater and showed it to Lin Wan'er.

Lin Wan'er took the sweater, tears in her eyes. "Mom, it looks so beautiful. Thank you for your hard work."

Father Lin reminded her, "Wan'er, you should take good rest while you are pregnant. Don't overwork yourself."

As her pregnancy progressed, Lin Wan'er began to experience some discomfort, such as back pain and swollen legs and feet. Su Ran would massage her every night to relieve her discomfort.

"How's the strength? Is it too strong?" Su Ran asked with concern while massaging.

Lin Wan'er closed her eyes comfortably: "Just right, dear, you are so nice."

Once, Lin Wan'er suddenly wanted to eat something sour in the middle of the night. Without saying a word, Su Ran put on his clothes and went out to buy something.

"It's so late, please drive slowly." Lin Wan'er said a little embarrassedly.

Su Ran smiled and said, "It's okay. As long as I can satisfy your wish, I'm willing to go no matter how late it is."

When Su Ran came back with sour plums, Lin Wan'er was so moved that she hugged him.

"Thank you, Su Ran."

"Don't say that, dear, as long as you are happy."

In addition to taking care of her daily life, Su Ran would also accompany Lin Wan'er to the hospital for prenatal checkups. Every time while waiting for the test results, his hand would tightly hold Lin Wan'er's, giving her strength and comfort.

"Don't be nervous, the baby will definitely be healthy." Su Ran said.

When they heard the doctor say that the baby was fine, they both smiled happily.

During this difficult time, Lin Wan'er felt endless warmth and love from her family. She knew she wasn't alone in facing the challenges of pregnancy, and with Su Ran and her family by her side, she was filled with courage and confidence.

One day, Lin Wan'er was suddenly awakened by a pain in her sleep. She nervously pushed Su Ran awake.

"Su Ran, my stomach hurts a little." Lin Wan'er's voice was filled with a hint of fear.

Su Ran regained consciousness immediately and said, "Don't be afraid, dear, let's go to the hospital right away."

He quickly put on his clothes, helped Lin Wan'er into the car, and drove all the way to the hospital.

In the hospital, Su Ran held Lin Wan'er's hand tightly and kept comforting her.

"Wan'er, don't be afraid, I'm here."

After the doctor's examination, it turned out to be a false alarm, the baby was just moving mischievously in the belly.

After returning home, Lin Wan'er and Su Ran looked at each other and smiled.

"It seems that the baby can't wait to come out." Lin Wan'er said.

Su Ran gently stroked her belly: "Baby, wait a little longer, come out when you are ready."

With the care and companionship of her family, Lin Wan'er's pregnancy was peaceful and happy. She looked forward to the birth of her baby and cherished every day filled with love.
