HP Star Shining
Chapter 92
"No!" Hermione objected immediately, "Harry can't leave the castle."
"Okay, let's go find Hagrid." Harry sat up straight. "I can also ask him why he never told me about Black when we were talking about my parents."
Su Xingchen looked at his hand and found that the cat hair was gone.
Harry's black robes seemed to have a bright orange irregular pattern on them.
Well, by the way.
She didn't do it on purpose. Someone felt at ease.
"Or we could play a game of Wizarding Chess." Continuing the topic of Black was clearly not Ron's intention. "Or Gomoku."
When talking about Gobang, the corners of Su Xingchen's mouth that were slightly raised quickly fell. Since Harry learned it, Hermione and Ron also learned it easily.
The four of them played together, and the winner stayed, and she always played the least.
Through the visualization of the chessboard, it is revealed that her IQ is quite low, because she prefers to play simply without thinking, unlike the other three who have to think and plan.
"No, go to Hagrid!" Harry insisted.
So the four of them went out of the oak gate of the castle.
The Forbidden Forest looked like it was enchanted, with every tree gleaming silver, and Hagrid's hut looked like a gingerbread cottage covered in icing.
They left shallow footprints on the lawn covered with crystal white snow. The thick snow wet the hems of people's cloaks and socks, and formed a thin layer of ice.
Ron knocked on the door, but no one answered.
"Did he go out?" Su Xingchen wrapped his cloak again and said tremblingly.
Ron put his ear to the door when he heard that, "There's a strange sound, is that Fang?"
Harry and Hermione put their ears to it too.
Su Xingchen didn't want to listen, it would freeze his ears.
"It's a low murmur," said Hermione, after listening carefully for a moment.
"Hagrid!" Harry pounded on the door. "Hagrid, are you in there?"
Heavy footsteps were heard in the room and the door creaked open.
Hagrid stood there with his eyes red and swollen, and his tears "pattered" on the front of his leather vest.
Su Xingchen looked at the little giant in front of him in astonishment and shed tears.
"Did you hear all that?" Hagrid growled, throwing his arms around Harry's neck. Hagrid was twice the size of an average man, and that was no joke. Harry was nearly crushed by his weight.
Su Xingchen hurriedly said, "Hagrid, put Harry down quickly, you're going to strangle him to death."
Hagrid let go of his hand, and Hermione and Ron at the door just in time held his arm.
Harry clutched his neck, he almost thought he was going to die.
"Sorry." Hagrid was brought back to the cabin by Hermione and Ron. After sitting on the chair, he threw himself on the table and burst into tears.
Sparkling tears flowed down his face into his unkempt beard.
The four of them looked at each other.
"Hagrid, what's wrong with you?" Hermione asked.
Harry found a letter that looked like an official document on the table. "What is this?"
Hagrid cried even louder.
This is probably a notice of punishment for Buckbeak, Su Xingchen thought.
Hagrid pushed the letter towards Harry, and he picked it up and read aloud.
"Aren't you okay?" Ron patted Hagrid's shoulder. "They said you weren't responsible and wouldn't be punished. Dumbledore vouched for you."
But Hagrid was still crying, and waved his huge hand, motioning Harry to continue reading.
"You don't know," he choked, wiping his eyes with his sleeve. "They only go after interesting animals, the Dangerous Animals Committee."
"But you said Buckbeak wasn't an evil hippogriff." Ron said, and there was a noise in the corner of Hagrid's cabin.
Harry, Ron, and Hermione turned around quickly. Buckbeak, the hippogriff, was lying in the corner of the room, chewing something bloody loudly, and blood was flowing all over the floor.
The four of them looked at each other.
They did not wholeheartedly agree with what Hagrid called "interesting animals".
Although Buckbeak meant no harm and was considered a "scary monster" by others, considering Hagrid's fondness for things like fire-breathing dragons, Buckbeak was probably considered cute and amusing.
"I can't possibly tie it with a rope in the snow," Hagrid choked out. "It's winter and Christmas time."
Su Xingchen glanced at Hagrid in surprise. Why did this sentence sound so familiar?
"It's New Year's Day..." "Since we're here."
Well, the world is a big...
She made a pot of tea for Hagrid, and Hagrid finally calmed down with the four people's efforts to comfort him while holding the teacup.
He blew his nose on a handkerchief as big as a tablecloth. "You're right. I can't give up. I should cheer up."
Fang emerged timidly from under the table and laid his head on Hagrid's knees.
"I've been feeling off lately." Hagrid stroked Fang with one hand and his face with the other. "I'm worried about Buckbeak, and no one likes my class."
"No, we do!" Hermione lied immediately.
"Yeah, your class is great!" Ron said. Su Xingchen noticed that his hand was under the table with his index and middle fingers crossed, telling God (or Merlin?) that he was lying. "Uh, how's Flobberworm?"
"Dead," Hagrid cried. "Eated too much lettuce."
"Oh my God, no way!" Ron's lips were trembling, as if he was already feeling emotional.
Su Xingchen opened his eyes slightly wide. What a miserable death...caterpillars.
Hagrid continued to discuss his fear of the Dementors in Hogsmeade and his concerns about Buckbeak until darkness fell.
The visit was not a pleasant one, but it finally achieved the effect that Hermione and Ron had hoped for.
Although Harry had not completely forgotten Black, he would not always think about revenge because they promised Hagrid to help him find a way to deal with the Committee for the Disposal of Dangerous Creatures.
The four of them went to the library the next day and returned to the empty common room with a large pile of books. These were all books that Hermione thought would be useful in helping Buckbeak.
Everyone sat in front of the roaring fireplace, slowly flipping through the dusty files, looking up cases about predatory monsters, and exchanging a few words from time to time when they came across relevant information.
"Here's one: in 1772 there was a case..."
"This might be useful..."
Su Xingchen breathed a sigh of relief. It was so difficult for her.
What was uncomfortable was not looking up the information, but that she had to follow everyone even though she knew it was useless.
Although few people stayed, Hogwarts Castle was still decorated with colorful Christmas decorations as usual.
Thick streamers of holly and mistletoe were strung across the corridors, and in the auditorium, as usual, there were twelve Christmas trees, each with a shining golden star.
The rich and tempting aroma of food filled the corridor, even Su Xingchen was bewitched and began to look forward to it.
