HP Star Shining
Chapter 91
Harry slumped in an armchair by the fire, snow still dancing outside the window, and Crookshanks lay lazily in front of him like a large yellow fur blanket.
"You look really bad." Hermione looked at Harry's face worriedly.
"I'm fine." Harry shook his head.
"Harry, listen to me." Hermione and Ron exchanged a quick look. "What we heard yesterday must have saddened you, but the most important thing is that you don't do anything stupid."
"Like what?" he asked.
"Like going to Black," Ron said bluntly.
"You wouldn't, would you?" asked Hermione.
"Black isn't worth dying for!" said Ron.
Harry could see that his friends must have rehearsed these words while he was sleeping. He didn't say anything and turned his gaze to Su Xingchen in front of him, wanting to hear how she would persuade him.
But she was still squatting in front of the fireplace, concentrating on petting the cat, as if she couldn't hear what they had just said. Crookshanks meowed comfortably under her hands.
Harry looked at Ron and Hermione again; they didn't seem to understand him at all.
"Do you know what I see and hear every time a Dementor comes near me?"
Su Xingchen's hand paused imperceptibly, and Ron and Hermione shook their heads in fear.
"I heard my mother screaming, begging Voldemort to let me go. If you heard your mother scream like that before she was killed, you would not forget it easily. Once you know that it was the betrayal of their trusted friends that brought Voldemort..."
"You can't do anything!" Hermione said in panic. "The Dementors will get Black and send him back to Azkaban!"
"You heard what Fudge said. Black wasn't affected by Dementors like most people. Being there wasn't as terrible a punishment for him as it was for others," Harry said calmly.
"So what do you want to say?" Ron looked very nervous, as if he knew what Harry was going to do. "Do you want to... kill Black or something?"
"Don't be silly." Hermione's panic was now more obvious. "Harry doesn't want to kill anyone, right, Harry?"
Harry said nothing.
He didn't know what he wanted to do, except for one thing: Blake was at large and he was doing nothing.
This was something he couldn't stand.
Hermione turned her gaze to Su Xingchen, hoping she would say something to persuade Harry.
Su Xingchen noticed it, but still didn't look up, pretending not to notice Hermione's look that seemed to be asking for help.
She couldn't say she completely understood Harry's feelings, but she could empathize with them a little, something Hermione and Ron, who had a harmonious family and hadn't experienced any major setbacks, couldn't feel.
Most importantly, he can't do anything.
He is impulsive, but not irrational.
The fact that Harry was willing to listen to Sirius' explanation even when he was extremely angry, and was willing to let go of his hatred and make the decision to send Peter Pettigrew to Azkaban, is enough to support his identity as the protagonist.
So she didn't say anything, and there was no need for her to advise anything.
The hand that was resting in Crookshanks's long fur dropped again and continued to scratch its chin, causing the big orange cat to squint its eyes and make a "gu gu gu gu" sound.
Hermione was helpless. She suddenly didn't understand Su Xingchen anymore.
As for herself and Ron, she remained the same as always.
Sometimes I feel gentle and considerate towards Harry, and sometimes I feel indifferent.
For example, right now, Harry wanted to kill someone, but Xingchen didn't say a word and didn't seem to be in a hurry.
"Malfoy knows."
Harry suddenly said while Hermione was distracted.
"Remember what he said to me in Potions class? 'If it were me, I would definitely take revenge and catch him myself.'"
"You want to listen to Malfoy, but not us?" Ron was really furious. "Listen, do you know what Pettigrew's mother got after Black took action? The Order of Merlin, First Class, and a finger, packed in a box. It was the largest piece of Pettigrew's body they could find! My dad told me so."
That's not the biggest piece, but the only piece of "evidence".
Su Xingchen thought to himself, and at the same time noticed that Ron's bulging pockets trembled. Was this a reaction to what he heard about her?
Ron calmed himself down and said, "Black is a deranged lunatic, Harry. He is very dangerous."
"Malfoy's father must have told him." Harry seemed not to hear what Ron said. "He used to be in Voldemort's inner circle."
Su Xingchen secretly pulled the corner of her mouth. If she didn't know the plot, it would be really a headache to meet such a "disobedient" friend.
I feel sorry for Hermione and Ron for two seconds.
Only two seconds, no more.
Because, birds of a feather flock together.
"What do you think of the You-Know-Who?" Ron was angry again.
"So, the Malfoys obviously knew that Black was working for Voldemort."
"And Malfoy would obviously rather you explode into a thousand pieces like Pettigrew, so wake up!"
"Harry, please." Tears welled up in Hermione's eyes. "Please be reasonable. Black has done a terrible thing, but don't... that would play right into his hands. Your parents wouldn't want you to get hurt, would they? They definitely wouldn't want you to go to Black!"
"I'll never know what they wish for, because I've never spoken a word to them, Black," Harry said flatly.
There was silence in the room.
Suddenly, Harry felt a tug at the hem of his robes.
He lowered his head and saw a small white hand tugging at the corner of his black robe.
Because Su Xingchen was petting the cat without saying anything, his attention was on Hermione and Ron. When he suddenly turned around, his eyes met with the owner of the hand.
"If you meet Blake one day, you must stay calm, okay?" Su Xingchen looked at him steadily.
Ron and Hermione had already created such a tense atmosphere, and it would be so cold-blooded for her to say nothing.
Fortunately, Harry will soon have his own family.
Harry couldn't understand the emotions in Su Xingchen's eyes, they were too complicated.
Sadness, compassion, indifference, resistance, regret, joy, encouragement and expectation.
How could one person's eyes contain so many conflicting emotions? In fact, what Xingchen said was not much different from what Ron and Hermione said. In essence, they were all trying to persuade him.
But for some reason, Harry felt a pang in his heart, as if she could understand his feelings.
He choked and his voice was a little hoarse, "Okay."
The atmosphere in the air seemed to ease a little, but it was still a bit solemn.
"I say," Ron said, trying to change the subject, "it's the holidays, and Christmas is almost here! How about we go see Hagrid? I haven't seen him in ages."
