Rise of the Otherworld.

Chapter 759 A Difficult Decision (6)

"No matter what it is, we must get through it!" Zhang Hao clenched his sword and continued forward. Everyone followed closely behind him, their heartbeats remarkably clear in the silent passage. Every step was taken with deep caution, as if the slightest misstep would lead to a desperate situation.

The eerie sound grew closer, as if countless pairs of eyes were watching them from the darkness. The woman unconsciously moved closer to Zhang Hao, her hands tightly grasping the corners of his clothes. Her body trembled slightly, her eyes filled with fear.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here," Zhang Hao whispered soothingly. His voice was low, but it carried a reassuring power. He gently patted the woman's hand with his other hand, signaling her to relax.

Two forks appeared in the passage ahead. One was filled with a faint mist, while the other was so quiet that it made people feel uneasy. Both paths were full of unknown dangers, making it difficult to choose.

"Which way should I go?" the herbalist asked anxiously. His forehead was covered with sweat, and his eyes darted back and forth between the two roads, his heart full of confusion.

The old man pondered for a moment, "I'm afraid both of these paths are not easy, we must choose carefully." His eyes were deep, trying to find some clues from these two paths, but he found nothing.

The little girl squatted down and carefully observed the marks on the ground. Her face was tense and her eyes were focused and serious.

"There seems to be signs of traffic here," she said, pointing to the foggy road. Her voice was childish but full of determination.

Just as everyone was hesitating, a series of low roars came from behind them, as if something was approaching rapidly. The sound was like thunder, shaking everyone's nerves.

"There's no time left. Let's take this foggy road!" Zhang Hao made a quick decision. His eyes were firm, and he led everyone into the fog without hesitation.

As they rushed into the fog, their vision suddenly became blurred. The fog around them was like a white curtain, tightly enveloping them. The fog was filled with a damp and cold air that chilled their skin.

"Everyone, hold hands tightly and don't get separated!" Zhang Hao shouted. His voice was a little hazy in the fog, but it reached everyone's ears clearly.

However, as the fog grew thicker, their hands gradually loosened.

"Zhang Hao!" The woman's voice was filled with panic. Her voice echoed in the mist, carrying with it endless fear and helplessness.

"I'm here!" Zhang Hao responded, trying to identify the direction of the voice. His heartbeat accelerated, and he was filled with worry.

The little girl lost her way in the fog and started crying out of fear.

"Don't cry, child, we will find you!" the old man shouted. His voice trembled in the mist, revealing his inner anxiety.

At this moment, a roar echoed in the mist, making people's hair stand on end. The voice seemed to come from the demon of the abyss, carrying endless anger and murderous intent.

"What on earth is this?" the herbalist asked in a trembling voice. His legs felt weak and he almost collapsed to the ground.

Zhang Hao's heart was also filled with fear, but he knew he had to remain calm at this moment.

"Don't panic, keep moving forward, and you will definitely find a way out!" He encouraged everyone loudly, trying to cheer them up.

As they struggled forward, a ray of light appeared in front of them. The light was particularly dazzling in the fog, like the dawn of hope.

"Is this the exit?" the woman asked expectantly, her voice trembling slightly as her eyes fixed on the bright light.

The crowd quickened their pace towards the light, but when they emerged from the fog, they found themselves at the edge of a cliff. Below was a bottomless abyss, and the howling wind made their clothes rustle.

"What...what should I do?" the herbalist said in despair. He stared into the abyss, his face pale, and his body involuntarily stepped back.

Zhang Hao stared across the cliff, his heart in a state of turmoil. Should he risk jumping over, or turn back and try to find a way out? His brow furrowed, his eyes filled with conflict.

The woman bit her lip. "We can't just retreat like this. Maybe there's a chance of survival if we jump over."

The old man shook his head. "But this is too risky. If we can't jump over it, we will be smashed to pieces."

The little girl grabbed the old man's clothes tightly and said, "Grandpa, I'm scared."

Zhang Hao took a deep breath and said, "We have no way out. We can only fight."

Everyone looked at each other, unsure of what to do. As time ticked by, the roaring sound behind them grew closer, as if death were approaching...
