Mr. Gu's wife is a little naughty

Chapter 6 What you are talking about is me?

They looked into the car at the same time, and Hong Momo suddenly felt that she was too clumsy. She wanted to eavesdrop on their conversation secretly, but she didn't expect to make things worse because of her negligence.

She forced a smile awkwardly, trying to ease the embarrassment. She knew that her smile must be extremely ugly at this moment, but she could only try her best.

The girl's appearance was quite outstanding. If it weren't for her eye-catching red hair, her facial features would actually be very delicate. However, compared to the typical Chinese skin color, she still looked a little different.

That evening, Hong Momo didn't get a good look at the man's face. Despite his high nose, his eyes were partially obscured by the large sunglasses he wore, making his features invisible. However, the corners of his mouth left an indelible impression on Hong Momo; that eerie, slightly mysterious smile lingered in her memory.

"Are you awake?" Lin Tao walked to the car window and asked Hong Momo with concern.

Hong Momo clearly saw her exhausted reflection in his lens, which was like a small world. The scenes she experienced yesterday made her look particularly haggard.

At this moment, she didn't dare to speak easily, because she sadly realized that in the chaos last night, she had accidentally lost her crucial self-defense weapon - the stun gun, and now even the anti-pepper spray was nowhere to be found. Although she was not sure whether those things would be effective against these people, without her self-protection equipment, Hong Momo felt as if she had been stripped of all her defenses. Her heart suddenly became empty and she had no confidence at all.

Lin Tao leaned against the car door, his gaze fixed on the snow-capped mountains in the distance. Hong Momo looked through the gaps between his deep eyes and noticed that his eye sockets were sunken and there seemed to be a faint scar at the corner of his eye.

"Don't stare at me like that. If you accidentally fall in love with me, you'll be in big trouble," Lin Tao quipped narcissistically. The woman standing quietly nearby couldn't help but sneer at his words. Lin Tao glanced at her, and she immediately regained her composure, but Hong Momo still caught her playful tongue-sticking gesture.

Hong Momo couldn't help but feel touched by Lin Tao's thoughtful arrangements. She had been wary of him all night, but in the end, he was the one who enthusiastically planned a retreat for her and even planned to have his assistant take her to Langgege.

Suddenly, however, Hong Momo realized something was amiss. "When you asked her yesterday to send something to Lhasa, did you mean me?" Hong Momo asked uncertainly.

Lin Tao turned his head and looked at Hong Momo with a smile, the smile on his lips becoming more and more obvious.

Hong Momo, who had been deeply moved, suddenly felt her good impression of him vanish without a trace. She muttered to herself, "You call me a thing? I'm not a thing! Oh, no, I should be a thing, right? I don't think so either..." This entanglement in her own mumbling made her feel that she had been cleverly teased by that guy. In anger, she turned away and decided not to pay any attention to him.

Lin Tao nodded calmly to the girl behind him. The girl said nothing more and took out a backpack from the trunk of the car and handed it to Lin Tao. Lin Tao took the backpack and watched the girl walk into the driver's seat.

"Mr. Gu, do you really not need me to go with you?" The red-haired girl stuck her head out of the car window and stared at Lin Tao with suspicion.

"You just need to do what I ask you to do and wait for me on Langgeri." Lin Tao responded calmly.

The red-haired girl, knowing Lin Tao's temperament well, didn't insist. After all, she had followed him for many years and knew that no one could easily change his decision. She said nothing more, and the car finally got back on track. Hong Momo and the red-haired girl left the place together.

Hong Momo looked through the rear window of the car and saw that the mysterious man was still standing there quietly, with a backpack in his hand and a cigarette in his mouth, staring at the direction they were going away, until their figures gradually shrank into a small black dot in his eyes and disappeared.

When all this disappeared, Hong Momo felt relieved. She lowered her head and hugged her backpack, her mind racing. Meanwhile, the red-haired girl glanced at Hong Momo through the rearview mirror, a hint of disdain in her eyes, intertwined with the same devilish smile as the strange man just now.
