When Gekko Shigure arrived in the Naruto world, he was quite mediocre for the first twelve years.
He has average talent, average physique, and average everything else; he's good for nothing except being handsome.
He thought he would live an ordinary life in the Naruto world, but the sudden appearance of the skill bar made Shigure a genius. He could put any ninjutsu into the skill bar and run it automatically without control or operation.
Naruto: "Why are you using the ninjutsu you just learned yesterday so well today? Is there some secret to it?"
Sasuke: "You're the real genius! You were just putting on an act all along!"
Kakashi: "Geniuses appear every year, but this year is especially fierce. As a teacher, I'm under a lot of pressure. I think I should retire!"
