The Rebirth of the God of Law: The Lord of the God Realm
Chapter 69: Fighting Victor
After breaking through the world's barrier, Carl streaked towards Victor like a meteor blazing with divine flame. His figure, illuminated by that divine light, appeared immensely tall and majestic, like a god of war from ancient myth. At that moment, his body surged with magical energy, like the torrent of energy at the dawn of the universe. It was a brand-new power, a majestic force from the divine realm.
Above the academy, the once azure sky was now shrouded in darkness. Dark clouds, like a pack of ferocious beasts, gathered rapidly, driven by the fierce wind. These clouds were no ordinary black; they seemed painted with the thickest black pigment, each one imbued with a suffocating sense of oppression. The clouds pressed against each other, tumbling and rolling like a boiling black ocean, through which lightning darted like silver snakes.
White lightning snaked through the dark clouds, each flash illuminating the interior. It was a blinding white, a stark contrast to the surrounding darkness, as if the struggle of souls unwilling to be bound in the dark world. Occasionally, a few lightning bolts would break through the clouds and strike the earth, leaving a burnt smell and a brief white light in the air, like a wound torn in the sky.
"Victor, your doomsday has come!" Carl's voice was like rolling thunder, echoing over the academy and shaking the surrounding air slightly.
Victor looked at Carl who was rushing towards him like a god, his face turned extremely ugly, and a trace of fear flashed in his eyes, but he still pretended to be calm and said viciously: "Hmph, Carl, don't think you are great just because you have a breakthrough. I will let you know how powerful I am!" As he spoke, he waved the dark magic prop in his hand, and an ink-black energy wave swept towards Carl. Wherever the energy wave passed, the space seemed to be torn apart, making a creepy "sizzling" sound.
However, Carl's strength had greatly increased. Facing the onslaught of dark magic, he simply sneered disdainfully. He calmly raised his hand and gently waved it, unleashing the "Holy Light Protection Curtain." (This curtain is composed of countless tiny light elements, each like a dazzling diamond, tightly arranged and interwoven. When attacked, the light elements rapidly spin, generating a powerful centripetal force that disperses the incoming force. Simultaneously, mysterious runes appear on the curtain, shimmering with golden light, continuously enhancing the curtain's defensive capabilities.) A curtain of divine power instantly appeared before him. It radiated a myriad of colors, like a rainbow-woven shield, beautiful and resilient. The dark energy wave crashed against the curtain like waves crashing against rocks, splashing only a few black sparks before vanishing without a trace.
"Is that all you can do? Victor, you really disappoint me. I thought you would bring me some challenges!" Carl teased, with a confident glint in his eyes.
"You... don't get complacent!" Victor, uttering a raging curse, intensified his dark energy. He muttered a series of complex, sinister incantations. Instantly, the dark clouds in the sky seemed infused with an even more powerful dark force. They rolled and surged madly, as if dragging the entire sky into an endless abyss of darkness. Lightning and thunder flashed and roared in increasing frequency. Like giant pythons, black lightning weaved through the clouds, each one carrying a destructive aura as it snaked towards Carl. Simultaneously, the ground began to tremble violently. Countless black tentacles, covered in sharp spines and emitting a pungent dark aura, emerged from the ground, attacking Carl from all sides.
"Wow, Victor is bringing out all his dark magic! Come on, Carl, don't get entangled by these black things, otherwise you will turn into charcoal!" Tom shouted from the side. Although he was fighting hard with Victor's men, he still did not forget to cheer for Carl. His words added a touch of humor to the tense atmosphere.
Carl, however, showed no fear. He closed his eyes slightly, feeling the flow of divine power within him. Then, abruptly opening them, a brilliant light erupted from them. His hands danced, as if conducting a grand magical concert, unleashing the "Golden Manifestation Demon Binding Silk." (The golden threads were condensed from pure divine power, each imbued with a sacred aura, like the hair of the sun god. A golden halo shimmered within the threads, faintly imbued with ancient magical markings, endowing them with powerful binding powers. When the threads came into contact with dark forces, they unleashed a purifying force, gradually dispelling the evil within.) The divine light around him rapidly expanded, transforming into countless golden threads. These threads, as if alive, flew towards the black lightning and tentacles. As the golden threads met the black lightning, the black lightning seemed drained of its energy, rapidly dimming and eventually vanishing into thin air. Confronted with the black tentacles, the golden threads quickly entwined themselves, like strong ropes binding a ferocious beast. The golden thread became tighter and tighter, and the black tentacles gradually turned into black smoke and dissipated in the struggle.
"Victor, your dark power is like a child's toy in my eyes. It is vulnerable." Carl said loudly, his voice full of strength and confidence.
Victor was horrified to discover that Carl's transformation had far exceeded his imagination. He had thought his dark power was powerful enough to destroy everything, but he felt so vulnerable before Carl. "This is impossible! How could you become so strong?" Victor's eyes widened, filled with disbelief and fear.
"This is the power of justice, a power that people like you who have been corrupted by darkness can never understand." Carl said righteously.
"I won't give up like this!" Victor roared, pulling out his final trump card—a crystal ball emitting a strong dark aura. He had found this crystal ball in an ancient, dark ruin, and it contained a powerful dark magic. He poured all his magic into the crystal ball, and it instantly erupted with an incredibly powerful dark force. This force, like a vortex of darkness, swept towards Carl. The surrounding space began to distort and collapse under the impact of this force, as if the entire world was about to be swallowed by the darkness. As if drawn by this dark force, the dark clouds in the sky rapidly spun around the crystal ball, forming a massive black funnel cloud. Lightning flashed wildly within the funnel cloud, illuminating the entire sky with flickering light and darkness. The scene looked like the end of the world.
"Carl, be careful! This force is too strong." The dean shouted anxiously. He wanted to help Carl, but was entangled by Victor's men.
Carl's expression grew serious as he gazed at the surging dark vortex. He knew this was Victor's final struggle, the most powerful attack he had ever faced. He took a deep breath, boosting his divine power to its limit. A powerful divine light erupted around him once again, even more dazzling than before, like an exploding sun. He pushed his hands forward, chanted an ancient and mysterious spell, and cast the "God's Guardian Barrier" (this shield seemed to be made up of countless layers of golden light screens, and each layer of light screen was engraved with ancient divine runes. The runes flashed with mysterious light, as bright as stars. These runes intertwined and fused with each other, forming a complex and powerful magic circle. A circle of golden flames surrounded the shield. The flames were like smart elves, jumping and burning. They had the function of purifying the dark power. When the dark power came into contact with the shield, the flames would spread quickly and burn the evil factors in the dark power.) As the spell was chanted, a huge circular shield appeared in front of him. The shield was engraved with mysterious runes. These runes flashed with golden light, like the eyes of gods watching the darkness.
The dark vortex and the golden shield collided, and for a moment, the entire world seemed to stand still. Two opposing forces clashed and clashed fiercely, emitting a deafening roar. Darkness and light intertwined, forming a spectacular and terrifying scene. The dark vortex was like a roaring beast, seeking to devour everything, while the golden shield, like an impenetrable fortress, stubbornly resisted. With each collision, powerful energy waves spread out, shaking the surrounding buildings to the brink of collapse and tearing the ground into huge cracks, as if the earth itself groaned in pain.
"Everyone, cheer for Carl!" Lucy shouted, "Carl, you are our hero, you can definitely defeat him!"
"Come on! Come on!" The teachers and students of the college shouted in unison. Their voices gathered together like surging waves, bringing endless strength to Carl.
Amidst everyone's cheers, Carl gritted his teeth and tried his best to maintain his shield. He could feel the immense pressure of the dark vortex, but he held fast to his resolve: to protect the academy, to protect the world. His divine power continuously poured into the shield, and the golden light grew stronger, gradually suppressing the dark vortex.
"No! This is impossible!" Victor shouted in despair. He watched his most powerful attack being blocked by Carl, and his heart was filled with unwillingness.
With a resounding explosion, the golden shield finally broke through the dark vortex, its powerful recoil sweeping towards Victor. Victor was struck by this force, his body flying out like a cannonball, falling heavily to the ground, spitting blood, and the dark magic props in his hands scattered to the ground. He struggled to his feet, but he had no strength left. He could only watch helplessly as Carl approached him.
"Victor, your plot has failed. You will pay for your actions," Carl said coldly. He walked up to Victor and looked down at his former enemy. Victor no longer had his former arrogance. His eyes were filled with fear and despair.
The battle ended with Carl's victory, and the academy was finally freed from the crisis and bathed in the glory of victory.
