The Rebirth of the God of Law: The Lord of the God Realm
Chapter 62 Obtaining the Last Material 2
Get the final material
In the apocalyptic chaos of the spatial rift, Carl and his teammates were like ants struggling in a nightmare maze, each step fraught with difficulty. Spatial debris flew in all directions like the fangs of a demon, ruthlessly slicing everything around them. Chaotic light, like cunning ghosts, flickered and danced before their eyes, bewildering their minds. The spatial creatures followed them everywhere, like assassins lurking in the shadows, ready to strike a fatal blow at any moment.
Yet, amidst this endless darkness and danger, a glimmer of hope suddenly flashed in Carl's eyes, like the brightest star in the night sky. His gaze fixed firmly on the object ahead—the final ingredient, the Crystal of Spacetime.
The Crystal of Time and Space hovers quietly in mid-air, like a radiant and mysterious heart within the universe. The light it radiates is dreamlike, a beauty that can shake the soul. The colors of the light are as brilliant as an overturned paint box, or as if the colors of the Big Bang were frozen in time. Red like a burning star, blazing and dazzling, as if igniting everything around it; blue like the deepest ocean, so profound it could absorb the very soul; purple like a dreamlike flower, mysterious and noble. Every shift in color seems to reveal the secrets of the universe.
Light streamed from the Crystal of Time and Space, like countless vibrant ribbons dancing. Sometimes these ribbons intertwined to form ancient and mysterious runes, shimmering with strange light, as if whispering ancient songs from the birth of the universe. Other times, they transformed into dazzling nebulae, with tiny stars twinkling and swirling within them, like the most magnificent dance in the universe. The Crystal of Time and Space seemed to dominate this chaotic space, all danger and chaos seemingly revolving around it. Like a sacred beacon in the darkness, it guided Carl and his companions on the path to hope.
"Wow! Look, that's the Crystal of Time and Space! It's like we found a diamond in a dunghill, and it's super big!" Carl was so excited that his voice was a little out of tune, and his eyes were flashing with fanatical light, which was even brighter than the light of the Crystal of Time and Space.
"Oh my God, this thing is even more beautiful than the fireworks at the college celebration! If we can bring it back, those girls will definitely gather around us like bees around flowers." Tom opened his mouth wide, his eyes as big as copper bells, staring at the Crystal of Time and Space in amazement, his saliva almost flowing out.
"Stop dreaming, Tom. This treasure is not for you to please girls. We have to find a way to get it, and there will definitely be big trouble, so don't let me down at the critical moment." Lucy glared at Tom unhappily. Although she was blaming him, her eyes were full of admiration and desire for the Crystal of Time and Space.
"Lucy is right, this is like a final test, we have to give it our all. Everyone be careful and prepare for the challenge." Jerry gripped the wand in his hand seriously, his eyes scanning the surroundings vigilantly, like a cheetah ready for battle.
Just as they were about to approach the Crystal of Time and Space, the surrounding space trembled violently like an enraged beast. A torrential surge of magical energy swept in from the direction of the Crystal of Time and Space like a tsunami. Immediately afterwards, a colossal being appeared before them—the most powerful guardian of the spatial rift.
The guardian's stature was as vast as a mountain, its body a work of art woven from countless dimensional fragments and radiant light, only this work of art was imbued with the power of destruction. Every time it moved, the surrounding space distorted violently, like a boulder dropped into a tranquil lake. Its enormous eyes, like two blazing suns, emanated a chilling majesty as they stared intently at Carl and the others, as if warning these tiny intruders: "How dare you covet the Crystal of Spacetime? You are courting death!"
"Wow, this thing is as big as a moving city! And it's one of those horrible cities cursed by the devil." Tom swallowed and said in a dry voice. His legs were shaking slightly, but he still pretended to be calm.
"Now is not the time to be afraid! Let's attack! Just like plucking a tiger's beard, we'll finish it off!" Carl shouted, raising his wand high and muttering an ancient and mysterious magic spell. As the spell was recited, a golden lightning-like light shot out from the tip of his wand. This light, like an extremely sharp golden spear, pierced the space guardian with unstoppable force.
"Look at me! A super-powerful wind blade storm!" Jerry, not to be outdone, waved his wand frantically, sending streams of cyan wind blades emanating from its tip. These blades gathered, eventually forming a cyan storm, howling towards the Space Guardian. His face shone with excitement and fighting spirit, as if he had already seen the dawn of victory. "I'm going to chop this big guy into pieces, like slicing a cake!"
Tom waved his wand vigorously, shouting, "The rock meteor shower is coming!" The surrounding space debris quickly gathered and, fueled by his magic, transformed into giant rocks. These rocks smashed towards the space guardian like cannonballs. "Hey, big monster, try my rock attack! It's more powerful than the meteors in the sky!"
Lucy cast an ice spell, and countless sharp icicles condensed from the tip of her wand. Under her control, these icicles shot towards the Space Guardian like silver birds. "I'll show you the power of ice and snow, you ugly creature! Just wait to be frozen into a popsicle!" Lucy said through gritted teeth, her eyes filled with determination, a resolve that never backed down.
However, the Space Guardian simply waved its massive arm dismissively in response to their attacks. Instantly, Carl's golden spear-like light, Jerry's cyan wind blade storm, Tom's giant rock meteor shower, and Lucy's silver ice cone birds were all deflected as if they had collided with an invisible wall of steel. The golden light dissipated into the air, the cyan wind blades scattered like directionless birds, the massive rocks instantly shattered into countless pieces, and the ice cones dissolved into puddles of water in the intense heat.
"This guy is too perverted! Our attacks are like tickling to it." Carl frowned, secretly surprised, but his eyes were still as firm as a rock, with no intention of retreating.
"Don't lose heart, let's try another method. If we all attack the same place together, it will be like a group of ants gnawing on an elephant. We will always find a breakthrough." Lucy shouted loudly, her eyes fixed on the Space Guardian, trying to find a weakness in its seemingly impenetrable defense.
Carl and his teammates quickly adjusted their tactics, deciding to focus their attack on the Space Guardian's legs. Carl once again unleashed his powerful magic, this time summoning a water dragon as thick as a giant dragon. The dragon charged towards the Space Guardian's legs, claws and fangs bared. "Charge, water dragon! Break its legs!" Carl shouted.
Jerry used wind magic to speed up the water dragon. He waved his wand like a windmill and muttered to himself, "Power of wind, lend a helping hand to the water dragon!" With the help of wind magic, the water dragon rushed towards the target like an arrow, at such a speed that it set off a powerful airflow.
Tom wasn't idle either. He summoned more massive rocks, and under his magical control, they smashed precisely at the Space Guardian's legs. "Hey, big monster, watch me smash your legs into a pulp!" Tom shouted as he swung his wand vigorously, the veins on his forehead bulging, demonstrating his full commitment.
Lucy attacked with icicles, attempting to freeze the Space Guardian's legs. Her wand continuously ejected icicles, which rained down on the Guardian's legs like raindrops, quickly coating them with a thick layer of frost. "Freeze you! See how you can still be so arrogant!" Lucy shouted.
The Space Guardian seemed to sense their intentions and attempted to resist with its magic. But this time, their attacks were too concentrated. Suddenly, a water dragon struck its legs, sending up a massive splash like a white flower blooming on the battlefield of Doom. Rocks slammed into its legs, making a dull sound like the roar of ancient war drums. Ice cones also successfully coated its legs with a thick layer of frost, making them look like a sculpture sealed in ice and snow.
"We succeeded! Keep attacking!" Carl shouted excitedly. He pressed on with his victory, casting another spell and launching a fiercer attack on the Space Guardian's legs. Streams of water shot out from his wand, like sharp arrows, towards the Guardian's legs.
Encouraged, his teammates attacked with even greater ferocity. Jerry's wind blades grew sharper, slicing through the frost on the Guardian's legs. Tom summoned more and larger rocks, repeatedly smashing them into the same spot. Lucy continuously condensed icicles, reinforcing the ice around the Guardian's legs. Under their combined force, deep scars began to appear on the Space Guardian's legs, and its movements became sluggish, like a giant, rusting machine.
In the fierce battle, teammates cooperated with each other and encouraged each other.
"Jerry, you used the wind blade so well! It's like adding a super sharp blade to our attack." Tom praised loudly as he continued to cast magic, his eyes full of admiration for his teammate.
"Haha, you're not bad either, Tom. Your rocks are like hammers, smashing this big guy hard." Jerry responded with a smile, his face covered in sweat, but his eyes were full of fighting spirit.
"Lucy, be careful and don't get too tired. You are our Ice Queen. If you fall, we will lose a great helper." Carl said to Lucy with concern, his eyes full of warmth.
With everyone's combined efforts, the Space Guardian's legs sustained severe damage, and its strength gradually weakened. But it remained immensely powerful, roaring furiously. That roar, like thunder from the depths of space, jarred their eardrums. Then, it opened its massive maw and unleashed a surging torrent of energy. Like a cosmic explosion, this torrent of energy swept towards Carl and the others, burning and distorting space wherever it passed.
"Get out of the way!" Carl shouted, and he quickly cast a teleportation spell, taking Jerry with him to a safe place.
Tom and Lucy also hurriedly cast defensive spells. Tom summoned a wall of earth and cast a layer of water magic on it, trying to resist the torrent of energy. "Earth wall, earth wall, you have to hold on, or we'll all be burnt potatoes," Tom said nervously.
Lucy used ice magic to create a massive ice shield. The shield exuded a chilling aura, a stark contrast to the blazing energy torrent. The energy torrent crashed into the earthen wall and the ice shield, emitting a deafening roar. The earthen wall was quickly crushed, and numerous cracks appeared on the ice shield, as if it would shatter in an instant.
"This energy torrent is too strong, like the end of the world! My arm is almost roasted." Tom shouted while wiping the sweat from his forehead. His arm was scratched by the energy impact and he felt severe pain, but he still gritted his teeth and persevered.
"Everyone hold on, we can definitely defeat it! We are the strongest team." Lucy encouraged. She continued to strengthen the magic power of the ice shield, trying to block the impact of the torrent of energy. Her lips trembled slightly, showing that she was also under tremendous pressure.
At this critical moment, Carl calmly observed the attack methods of the Space Guardian. He found that every time the Space Guardian launched a large-scale attack, the magic fluctuations around its body would become briefly disordered.
"I've got a plan!" Carl shouted. "Everyone, pay attention. After it launches its next large-scale attack, we'll focus our attacks on its head. The magical fluctuations there will weaken for a moment after it attacks, so that might be its weak point."
After hearing Carl's words, the teammates rekindled their hope. They waited for an opportunity, closely watching the Space Guardian's every move, like hunters waiting for their prey to reveal a flaw.
Sure enough, the Space Guardian opened its mouth again and spewed out an even more ferocious torrent of energy. Like flaming meteors, the energy torrent flew towards them, its momentum seeming to engulf the entire universe.
"Now!" Carl shouted, charging towards the Space Guardian. He swung his wand, unleashing his most powerful water magic. A massive curtain of water descended upon the Space Guardian's head. The curtain of water resembled a vast blue ocean, surging with waves and imbued with immense power.
His teammates followed suit. Jerry cast wind magic, sharpening the water curtain, like countless water knives, slicing at the Space Guardian's head. "Look at me! Water Blade Storm! Cut your head off!" Jerry shouted, his eyes filled with determination.
Tom summoned a huge rock and smashed it towards the same spot. "Big monster, take my final blow!" Tom roared.
Lucy attacked with an ice cone, trying to freeze its head. "You're done, monster!" Lucy shouted.
The Space Guardian seemed to sense the danger and tried to resist with magic power, but after it had just launched the energy torrent attack, its magic power had not yet fully recovered and a flaw appeared in the defense of its head.
Carl and his men's attack successfully struck the Space Guardian's head, and it let out a painful roar that echoed throughout the cracks in the space, making people's hair stand on end. Cracks appeared on its head, and its magic power began to fluctuate unsteadily, like a building about to collapse.
"We succeeded! Keep attacking!" Carl shouted excitedly. He pressed on with his victory, casting his magic again, launching an even more powerful attack on the Space Guardian's weak spot. Powerful magical rays shot out from his wand, raining down on the Space Guardian's head.
The teammates were not to be outdone. Their attacks rained down on the Space Guardian's head. The cracks grew bigger and bigger, and its power gradually weakened.
With everyone's concerted efforts, the Space Guardian was finally defeated. Its massive body collapsed, transforming into countless rays of light and space fragments that bloomed across the universe like fireworks before gradually dissipating into the air.
Carl walked over to the Crystal of Time and Space and cautiously extended his hand, like a devout believer touching a sacred object. The moment his fingers touched the Crystal of Time and Space, a soft light emanated from it, enveloping Carl's hand. The light was warm and comforting, as if the Crystal of Time and Space recognized him. This light spread along Carl's arm, instilling a mysterious and powerful energy, as if he had established a deep connection with some ancient being in the universe.
"We did it!" Carl shouted excitedly, tears in his eyes, which were the joy of victory and gratitude to his teammates.
"Yes, we did it!" The teammates cheered, hugging each other tightly to celebrate this hard-earned victory. In this space rift fraught with danger and challenges, they relied on courage, wisdom, and unity to successfully obtain the Crystal of Time and Space and prepare to leave the perilous place that nearly buried them. At this moment, their hearts were filled with pride and anticipation for the future, as they were one step closer to their goal of breaking through the world barrier.
