Chapter 63 Magic Ritual Preparation
Magic ritual preparation
Carl and his teammates returned to the academy like triumphant heroes, amidst the crowd's anticipation and amazement. The ancient, solemn academy buildings, bathed in sunlight, seemed to cheer their return. But Carl had no time to bask in the joy of victory. His mind was focused on preparing the magical rituals required by the ancient texts as quickly as possible.
The academy's magic laboratory was filled with a mysterious atmosphere. Carl stood in the center, surrounded by ancient books and various magical props. His expression was focused and serious, as if he was about to perform a sacred sacrifice.
"Carl, are you sure you want to set up this magic circle by yourself? It looks like a tangled mess, harder to comb than a girl's hair." Tom joked from the side. He looked at the complicated maze-like magic circle pattern on the ancient book in Carl's hand and couldn't help shaking his head.
"Don't make trouble, Tom. This is not a joke. Every detail is related to success or failure." Carl frowned, without looking up, and continued to study the records in the ancient books.
"I know, I just want to ease the tense atmosphere. Look at you, your brows are almost twisted into a knot." Tom said with a smile, but he still shut his mouth obediently, knowing that he could not disturb Carl at this time.
Carl took a deep breath and began to lay out the magic circle according to the ancient text. He carefully picked up the magic chalk and traced intricate lines on the ground. The lines seemed to have life, flickering faintly under his pen. He poured all his magic power and concentration into each stroke.
"Jerry, please help me get that blue magic crystal. Be careful, its energy is very unstable." Carl said without raising his head.
"Okay, Carl. This crystal is like a naughty elf, I have to catch it well." Jerry responded, gently picked up the blue magic crystal, as if holding a rare treasure, and slowly walked towards Carl.
As the outline of the magic circle gradually became clearer, Carl began placing the three materials he had gathered in specific locations. The Ice Crystal Flower, emitting a subtle chill, was placed in the northern portion of the magic circle. A thin layer of frost instantly formed around it, creating a throne of ice and snow. The Fire Stone was placed in the south, its blazing heat distorting the surrounding air like a tiny sun burning. And the Space-Time Crystal, the most important core material, was placed by Carl in the center of the magic circle. Once the Space-Time Crystal was placed, the entire magic circle's radiance became even more dazzling, its mysterious power seemingly echoing the lines of the magic circle.
"Wow, it feels like building a super mysterious magic toy, but if this toy breaks, it will be a big trouble." Tom sighed.
"Tom, can you be serious? This is a magical ritual that concerns the fate of the world, not a toy." Lucy rolled her eyes at Tom. She was also helping to organize the magic props and prepare for Carl.
"I know, Lucy. I just want everyone to relax a little. Look how nervous Carl is. I'm worried his hair will fall out from the stress." Tom said with a smile, but there was a hint of worry in his eyes. He knew the importance of this ceremony.
As he placed the materials, Carl needed to precisely control the energy flow of the magic circle and the magical resonance between the materials. Beads of sweat covered his forehead, and under the light of the magic circle, these beads shimmered with a multicolored brilliance, like precious gems. He closed his eyes tightly, concentrating on feeling the subtle connection between the magic circle and the materials. The wand in his hand trembled slightly, constantly adjusting the magic circle's energy output.
"Carl, how are you? Do you want to take a rest?" Lucy asked with concern. She saw that Carl's face was a little pale and knew that he had consumed a lot of magic power.
"I'm fine, Lucy. We can't rest. This is a critical moment. Any mistake could cause the ritual to fail." Carl gritted his teeth and continued to persevere. He knew that this was the ultimate goal they had come all this way to. If they failed here, all their previous efforts would be wasted.
As the energy gradually adjusted, the light in the magic circle began to become unstable, sometimes flashing too brightly, and sometimes becoming dim.
"What's going on? Carl, is there something wrong?" Jerry asked nervously. He looked at the unstable light of the magic circle and felt uneasy.
"Don't panic, this is normal. The magical resonance between the materials is readjusting, just like new gears running in. We must remain calm and ensure a stable supply of energy." Carl explained. His voice was a little hoarse, but still firm and powerful.
Throughout this process, Carl was like a captain steering a ship in a storm, striving to maintain the balance of the magic circle. He constantly recalled the records in ancient books, checking every step to see if it was correct, while also dealing with various sudden fluctuations in magic power.
"Everyone, pay attention and prepare your magic shield. If the energy gets out of control, there may be a backlash." Carl shouted loudly, his eyes revealing a hint of solemnity.
The teammates cast spells one after another, forming a solid magical shield around them. The shield radiated a multicolored light, like a giant protective shield, enveloping them and the magic circle.
After some difficult adjustments, the magic circle's light finally stabilized, and the magical resonance between the three materials reached perfect harmony. The energy within the magic circle flowed smoothly like a surging river, and each ray of light seemed to be playing an ancient and mysterious magical song.
"Huh, finally done. Carl, you are such a genius!" Tom breathed a sigh of relief, wiped the sweat from his forehead and said with a smile.
"It's not over yet, Tom. This is just preparation; the real challenge lies ahead," Carl said. Although exhausted, his eyes were filled with anticipation. He knew this magical ritual would be a crucial step in their journey to break through the barriers of the world. They were already standing on the threshold of hope, and they couldn't afford to slack off.
In this magic laboratory full of mysteries and challenges, Carl and his teammates continue to make final preparations for the upcoming magic ceremony. Their hearts are filled with tension, anticipation and desire for success, and every action carries the fate of the world.
