The Rebirth of the God of Law: The Lord of the God Realm
Chapter 37 Preparing for the Expedition
Prepare for an adventure
Carl's eyes burned with a determined fire, a light woven from a thirst for the unknown and a determination to uphold justice. He knew that exploring the mysterious ruins was a gamble with fate, but to stop Victor's scheme and for the peace of the entire continent, he didn't hesitate. He resolutely applied to the academy, and every word on the application was like a solemn oath he had sworn.
"Dean, I must go. This is not only related to our college, but also to the survival of the entire continent." Carl stood in the dean's office, looking at the dean with firm eyes.
The dean stared at Carl, his eyes filled with worry and trust. "Carl, I know you've made up your mind. This operation is fraught with danger, but I believe in your ability. In that case, who do you plan to go with?"
"I'd like to invite a few teachers and classmates I trust. We understand each other and work well together, so we'll definitely be able to cope with all kinds of challenges." Carl's voice was steady and powerful.
After receiving the Dean's permission, Carl immediately took action. He first sought out teachers Ivan, Brown, and Claire, all of whom were experienced and powerful magicians in the academy. They had fought alongside Carl in previous battles and had established a deep trust with him.
"Teachers, we are going to the mysterious ruins to stop Victor. We need your help in this operation." Carl said sincerely.
Teacher Ivan patted Karl's shoulder and said, "Karl, you don't need to say more. We all know the seriousness of the matter. We will go with you."
Teacher Brown and Teacher Claire also nodded and expressed their willingness to go.
Then, Carl selected several students who were good at magic, brave and resourceful. He gathered them together and explained the purpose and danger of this expedition.
Tom said excitedly, "Karl, this sounds so exciting! We can definitely succeed."
"That's right, but don't underestimate the danger. We must be fully prepared." Carl reminded seriously.
So, they began to frantically prepare the items needed for the expedition. Magical props were of paramount importance. They arrived at the academy's treasury, which was filled with a mysterious and ancient atmosphere. The walls were inlaid with softly glowing gems, illuminating rows of neatly arranged shelves filled with a variety of magical props, each one akin to a divine artifact imbued with soul.
"We need a wand amplifier that can enhance magic power." Carl said as he searched the shelves. He picked up a small wand amplifier, its surface engraved with delicate runes. The runes flickered with a faint light, as if telling ancient magic stories.
"And this, a magic shield generator, can protect us at critical moments." Teacher Ivan picked up a disc-like prop and touched it lightly. A blue light curtain flashed out and then disappeared.
Teachers and students selected their own magic props, including crystal balls that could detect magic traps, smoke bombs that could temporarily confuse enemies, and magic stones that could quickly restore magic power. Each prop was carefully selected and tested to ensure that there would be no problems at the critical moment.
The preparation of dry food was also important. They arrived at the academy's kitchen, which was filled with the aroma of various foods. The chefs were busy preparing meals, and when they saw Karl and his group, they greeted them warmly.
"We need some dry food that is easy to carry and can be kept for a long time." Carl said to the chef.
The head chef nodded. "I've prepared special dry food for you. There are energy-rich magic cookies. One can sustain your energy for the whole day. There's also delicious dried meat that has been specially processed to prevent it from spoiling."
The students looked at the beautifully packaged rations with anticipation. "These look great! I hope they taste as good as they smell," Jerry said with a smile.
Besides magic tools and food, potions were also essential. They arrived at the academy's pharmacy, which was filled with bottles of all sizes, each containing a variety of potions of varying colors and potencies. Some potions emitted a pungent odor, while others had a captivating fragrance.
"Prepare more healing potions, as well as potions to remove magical curses," said Teacher Brown.
Carl picked up a healing potion. The potion was a soft green and swayed slightly in the bottle, as if it had life. "This high-level healing potion can heal wounds quickly. I hope we won't need it too much."
While preparing his various supplies, Carl never forgot to seek out more information about the mysterious ruins. One day, while browsing in the academy's ancient book room, a dusty tome caught his eye. Gently brushing away the dust, he saw the title, "Exploring the Ruins: Surrounding Environment and Potential Dangers."
Carl's heartbeat quickened as he eagerly opened the ancient book. The pages were yellowed, exuding a sense of antiquity, but the text and images were still clearly visible. He read carefully, the more he read, the more frightened he became.
Ancient texts mention that the environment surrounding the ruins is extremely harsh, filled with a mysterious fog that not only interferes with vision but also erodes one's magical powers. Once trapped within it, without strong magical support and proper guidance, one can easily lose their way and be trapped forever within the fog.
"Come and see!" Carl showed the ancient books to the teachers and classmates who were preparing supplies.
"This fog sounds very tricky." Teacher Claire said with a frown.
"There's more." Carl continued flipping through the ancient tome. "There are mysterious guardian forces within the ruins. These guardian forces might be magical creatures or mechanisms left behind by the ancient gods. They will attack any intruders, and their attacks are extremely powerful."
The students looked worried after hearing this. Lucy asked nervously, "What should we do?"
"We need to prepare more carefully and find ways to deal with these guardian forces," said Carl.
Ancient texts also mention that the ruins contain a complex magical maze filled with various magical traps and puzzles. Every fork in the road could be a door to life or death, and a wrong step could trigger a fatal trap.
"This magic maze is one of the biggest challenges. We need to study some methods to crack the maze." Teacher Ivan said seriously.
So, while preparing their supplies, they began researching how to deal with the various dangers within the ruins. They consulted more ancient books, consulted with other teachers at the academy who had expertise in ruins research, and even conducted some simulation training.
During a simulated training session, they set up a magic circle that resembled a foggy environment. Upon entering the magic circle, the students and teachers immediately felt the fog's interference. Magical power slowed in the fog, and vision became blurred.
"Everyone, don't panic. Stay connected," Carl shouted. He cast an illumination spell, but the light could only illuminate a small area in the fog.
"Let's try using wind magic to disperse the fog," Tom suggested. He cast a wind spell, and a strong gust of wind blew past, but the fog only dispersed briefly before quickly gathering again.
"It seems that ordinary methods don't work. We need to find a special way to crack it." Teacher Brown said.
After many attempts, they found a method that combined light and space magic to dispel the fog to a certain extent. Carl recorded this method and prepared to use it when he actually entered the ruins.
In order to protect the ruins from theft, they crafted some targeted magical items based on descriptions in ancient books. Teacher Claire used her alchemy knowledge to create some special arrows coated with potions that could harm magical creatures.
"This potion can temporarily weaken the power of magical creatures, buying us time to attack," Teacher Claire explained to everyone.
At the same time, they also practiced various combat magic and defensive magic to improve their ability to deal with powerful attacks.
In terms of solving magic mazes, they collected a large amount of maze puzzle information for analysis and research. Teacher Ivan is an expert in this field and he explained many maze-solving techniques to everyone.
"In a maze, pay attention to the symbols and markings on the walls, as they may be clues to the direction. Also, don't easily trust seemingly obvious paths, as traps are often hidden in them," said Teacher Ivan.
They set up some simple maze models in the college grounds for field exercises. The students navigated the mazes, trying to apply the skills they had learned to find the exit. Sometimes, they encountered dead ends and triggered the simulated traps, but they didn't give up. Instead, they constantly learned from their experiences and improved their methods.
As preparations deepened, Carl and his team were both excited and stressed about the expedition. Every new discovery made them more aware of the dangers of the ruins, but their determination never wavered.
"We are fighting to protect the continent. No matter what difficulties we encounter, we must move forward courageously." Carl encouraged everyone at a team meeting.
"That's right, we can't let Victor succeed. We have to protect our home." Teacher Brown said firmly.
In the final stages of preparation, they checked all their belongings again to make sure nothing important was left out. Magical props were neatly packed into specially made backpacks, and dry food and potions were also properly placed.
"Is everyone ready?" Karl looked at everyone, his eyes full of trust and expectation.
"We're ready!" Everyone answered in unison, their voices echoing over the academy, full of strength and courage.
They are about to embark on a journey to the mysterious ruins. What awaits them ahead are unknown dangers and challenges, but they are heading towards that mysterious and dangerous place with hope and faith, like torches in the darkness, illuminating the way forward.
