Magic Practice Class

The morning sunlight, like golden sand, filtered through the stained glass windows of the magic academy, illuminating the corridor leading to the practical class. The students, filled with excitement and nervousness, headed towards their destination, their footsteps echoing in the empty corridor, interwoven with anticipation for the upcoming challenges.

The magic practice class took place on a vast lawn, surrounded by ancient magical trees. Their branches swayed in the wind, shimmering with mysterious light, as if cheering the students on. In the center of the lawn stood several massive magic battle arenas, constructed from solid magical rock and engraved with various runes to enhance defense and stabilize magical fluctuations. To one side of the arenas stood rows of tables piled high with magical items in need of repair: broken magic rings, dulled magic wands, and even magical instruments emitting unstable magic.

Carl stood at the edge of the grass, took a deep breath, and felt the magical aura in the air. His eyes revealed determination and confidence. Today's practical class was a great opportunity for him to improve his skills and a touchstone for testing his knowledge.

The magic battle soon began, with students taking to the stage. Carl's first opponent was a slender but sharp-eyed student. He held a slender wand, his robes fluttering in the wind, emitting a spirited aura.

“Karl, I won’t show mercy,” the opponent said, a hint of provocation in his voice.

"Come on then." Carl smiled slightly and gripped his wand tightly.

At the outset of the battle, the opponent unleashed a rapid barrage of wind magic. Wind blades, like razor-sharp flying knives, whistled towards Carl, slicing through the air with a sharp whistle. Carl remained calm. He cast "Earth Wall," and a thick wall of earth quickly rose from the ground. The wind blades collided with the wall, sending up clouds of dust, but the wall remained unshaken.

"Hmph, watch me." Seeing this, his opponent changed his tactics. He muttered something, waved his wand, and the air around him began to spin rapidly, forming a massive tornado. The tornado swept towards Carl, uprooting the grass wherever it passed.

Carl's eyes flashed, recalling the ancient texts' description of elemental fusion. He quickly cast the "Fire Blast" spell, simultaneously channeling his magic power into the earthen wall. The flames and the earthen wall merged, instantly transforming into a wall of fire. As the tornado collided with the fire wall, the wind fueled the flames, and the blazing flames rushed towards their opponent.

The opponent panicked and quickly cast "Wind Shield", barely blocking the flame attack. However, his magic power was too much and he began to gasp for breath.

"You're powerful, but not enough," Carl said, launching a new round of attacks. He cast the "Lightning Chain" spell, and chains flashing with arcs of electricity flew out from his wand and wrapped around his opponent.

The opponent tried to dodge, but the chains were too fast and he was eventually entangled in them. As Carl injected his magic power, lightning jumped on the chains, and the opponent was numbed all over and collapsed to the ground.

"Carl wins!" the referee announced.

Carl walked down from the ring and his classmates gathered around him.

"Karl, that elemental fusion move you just made was so cool!"

"Yeah, how did you come up with that?"

Carl smiled and replied: "I learned this from ancient books. Reading more books is good for you."

In the following battles, Carl encountered opponents of varying styles. There was a student skilled in water magic, whose spells surged towards Carl like a surging tide; there was a student proficient in earth magic, who could summon enormous rock giants with astonishing attack power; and there was a student who used light magic, whose magic was so dazzling that it could temporarily blind the enemy.

Facing these opponents, Carl constantly adjusted his battle strategy, combining various magic techniques from ancient books with his own practical experience, overcoming dangers time and time again and winning the game.

During a crucial match, Carl encountered a classmate skilled in controlling magic. This classmate, Ivan, was dressed in a black magic robe, his eyes deep and mysterious. He stood across the ring, silently observing Carl, radiating an invisible pressure.

"Karl, I heard you're very powerful. Let me see it today." Alvin said in a low and calm voice.

"I'm also looking forward to your performance." Carl responded. He could feel Ivan's extraordinaryness, and a strong fighting spirit surged in his heart.

The battle began, and Ivan first cast the "Mind Interference" spell. Carl immediately felt a sharp pain in his head, as if countless needles were piercing his brain. He quickly focused his mind and cast the "Mind Shield" spell to resist Ivan's mental attack.

"Not bad, you were able to resist my mental interference so quickly." Ivan nodded slightly, then waved his wand, and the space around him began to distort. Carl found that his movements became slower, as if an invisible force was restraining him.

"This is space control magic!" Carl was shocked. He tried to break free from the restraints, but the power of space was too strong.

Ivan took the opportunity to launch an attack. He cast the "Shadow Piercing" magic, and black shadow spikes appeared from the void and shot towards Carl.

Carl gritted his teeth, concentrating all his magic power and casting the "Elemental Burst" spell. A powerful surge of magic flowed from his body, temporarily breaking the surrounding spatial constraints. He quickly dodged the shadow spikes and rushed towards Ivan.

"Want to get close to me? Not that easy." Alvin cast magic again. He set up a layer of "magic barrier" around himself, and any attack that approached would be bounced back.

Carl's attack hit the magic barrier and bounced back, and he himself was shocked and took a few steps back.

"I can't go on like this. I have to find his weakness." Carl thought to himself and began to observe Ivan's magic carefully. He found that when Ivan cast control magic, there was a slight delay in the fluctuation of magic power.

"That's it!" Carl's eyes lit up and he waited for the next opportunity.

When Ivan cast the "Spatial Binding" spell again, Carl seized the moment of magic delay and cast the "Magic Cutoff" spell. An invisible magic blade slashed towards Ivan's control magic, successfully severing the magic connection.

Aiwen's eyes widened in surprise: "You...how did you find my flaw?"

"Nothing is invulnerable," Carl declared, launching his final attack. He cast his "Ultimate Magic—Elemental Judgment," and a massive magic circle composed of seven elements appeared in the sky. The magic circle radiated a dazzling light and pressed down towards Ivan.

Ivan tried to resist, but his magic power was already too much. Under the powerful elemental judgment, his magic barrier was shattered, and he was completely enveloped by the light of the magic circle.

"Karl wins!" The referee's voice sounded again.

Carl walked off the ring, his body a little tired, but his face was filled with the joy of victory. In this fierce battle, he not only won the game, but also learned a lot from it.

"Carl, it wasn't easy for you to win this time," said Carl's friend Leo.

"Yeah, that Ivan's control magic is too difficult to deal with." Ellie also echoed.

"But, have you noticed that his control magic is a bit strange?" Carl said with a frown.

"Strange? What do you mean?" Leo asked.

"During the battle, I discovered that his control magic was similar to the guardian magic I encountered in a mysterious relic in my previous life. The fluctuations and control methods of that magic power were almost exactly the same." Carl said, with a puzzled glint in his eyes.

"You mean, there is some kind of inheritance between these magics?" Ellie asked in surprise.

"It's very likely. I think we need to study it in depth. There may be some significant discoveries," said Carl.

During the magic item repair session, Carl and his classmates came to a table filled with magic items. These magic items were damaged for various reasons, some were destroyed in magic battles, and some were lost due to age.

Carl picked up a broken magic ring. The magic crystal that had been embedded in the ring had shattered, leaving only an empty slot. The metal part of the ring also had some cracks, and the magic runes on it had become blurred.

"To repair this ring, I need to repair the runes first, and then find a suitable magic crystal." Carl said to himself.

He cast a "Magic Repair" spell, injecting his own magic into the ring, attempting to repair the blurred runes. The magic flowed through the ring like a trickle, nourishing the damaged runes. As Carl's magic continued to flow, the runes gradually became clearer.

"Next is to find the magic crystal." Carl looked at the ring and thought.

He searched for a suitable crystal among the surrounding magical materials. After some selection, he found a blue crystal with similar properties to the original crystal of the ring.

"That's it." Carl picked up the crystal and carefully set it into the slot of the ring. Then, he cast his magic again, fusing the crystal with the magic of the ring.

With a flash of blue light, the ring came back to life. The originally dull ring now emitted a soft blue light, and the runes on it shone with magical brilliance.

"Karl, you are amazing! This ring looks better than before." The classmate next to him exclaimed.

"Haha, repairing magic items is also a challenge and very interesting." Carl replied with a smile.

Carl also encountered some difficulties when repairing other magic items. There was a magic wand with a problem that the magic circuit inside the wand was blocked. The magic channel needed to be precisely unblocked, otherwise the wand might explode.

Carl carefully inserted his magic power into the staff and felt the complex magic circuits. These circuits became chaotic due to the impact of external forces, and the magic power was running wildly in them, which could cause danger at any time.

"Be careful." Beads of sweat formed on Carl's forehead. He concentrated, channeling his magic power bit by bit. He used the methods of repairing magic circuits found in ancient books to slowly clear the blocked areas.

After a long period of effort, the staff's magic circuit finally returned to normal. The staff once again radiated powerful magic and shone brightly.

After the magic practice class, Carl and his classmates gained a lot. They improved their combat abilities in magic battles and mastered new skills in repairing magic items.

"Today is such a fulfilling day." Carl looked at the magic academy under the setting sun, his heart full of anticipation for future studies.

"Yeah, we still have a lot to learn," Leo said.

"But, Carl, regarding the issue of magic inheritance you mentioned, when do we start studying it?" Ellie asked.

"Let's start from tomorrow. I feel there is a huge secret hidden behind this." There was a determined light in Carl's eyes. This was just another new starting point in his journey of magical exploration.
