Excited, the hovercraft arrived at Ceres Love Nursery School. I disembarked and carefully checked my attire. It was my first full day with these children, and I couldn't leave a bad impression. As I entered the kindergarten, I saw a group of adorable children playing. Their eyes lit up with curiosity and anticipation when they saw me. I smiled and greeted them, trying my best to be friendly.

One of the little girls ran over, took my hand and said, "Sister who came yesterday, are you our new teacher from now on?" I nodded, squatted down and looked her in the eye: "Yes, I will spend a happy day with you."

Other children gathered around, asking all sorts of questions. I patiently answered them, interacted with them, and gradually immersed myself in this joyful atmosphere.

However, amidst the laughter and joy, one figure stood out from the crowd—the little boy who had done the most to protect the other children yesterday. At this moment, he didn't join in the lively game, but stood quietly not far away, watching everything in front of him.

After playing with the other children for a while, I slowly made my way towards Vaughn, the hedgehog-like boy. Vaughn had been abandoned by his parents since birth. His poor mother, a native of a junk planet, had just reached adulthood when she encountered his father and unexpectedly became pregnant with him. When Vaughn was seven months old, his strong and young father was forced to go out in search of food to survive. Tragically, during this foraging trip, an accident occurred, and he passed away forever.

When Vaughn was born, his mother, lacking timely medical care and suffering from extreme malnutrition, became extremely weak. Despite her utmost efforts to accompany her child's growth, the cruel reality cruelly took her away from Vaughn. When Vaughn was only three years old, he lost the other most important person in his life: his mother.

Later, poor Vaughn was sent to an orphanage on Trash Planet. However, having always been independent, he wasn't good at saying nice things or acting cute. Therefore, young Vaughn always kept to himself in the orphanage, and didn't fit in with the other children.

Vaughn's fate was not to find peace. Once upon a time, a vicious band of pirates raided the Junk Planet. With only a handful of children and a few social workers, the orphanage was powerless to resist the brutal pirates. Tragically, Vaughn was abducted by the pirates and began a life of wandering with them. A full year passed before Vaughn was finally rescued and freed.

Before arriving at the Ceres Love Orphanage, Vaughn had visited many other orphans. However, his year of living with the pirates had a profound impact on Vaughn, forging a resilient character that was not easily bullied. If anyone dared to bully him, he would fight back with tenfold, even a hundredfold, force. Furthermore, due to his poor communication skills and lack of sweet talk, he was often transferred to another orphanage after only a short period of time.

After learning more about what Vaughn has been through, I won't force him to open up completely to me right away. However, I firmly believe that as time passes and our relationship deepens, he'll eventually let down his guard and be honest with me. After all, trust and understanding between people take time to develop, and I'm willing to give him patience and space. Only then can we build a truly profound friendship or other relationship.

"Vaughn, I'm the new teacher. You can call me Teacher Sui Sui. Of course, if that's not friendly enough, you can also call me Teacher Yuan Yuan, because I'm round and cute." I said to Vaughn with a smile. However, Vaughn just glanced at me indifferently and lowered his head to continue fiddling with the toys in his hand, seemingly not showing much interest in me.

At this moment, lovely Maggie came over holding her doll, blinking her big eyes and said to Vaughn, "Brother Vaughn, my doll is accidentally injured. Can you help it?" Hearing Maggie's request, Vaughn raised his head slightly, glanced at the doll in Maggie's hand, and then smiled slightly. He gently took the doll, examined it carefully, quickly found the problem, and skillfully reattached the fallen arm.

Seeing this scene, I couldn't help but sigh: Vaughn isn't as cold as he appears; he's actually very warm and kind-hearted! Perhaps he's just not very good at expressing his emotions. This small incident shows that Vaughn is a very thoughtful and caring child. I believe that with enough love and guidance, he will become a great person!

It's not easy to open Vaughn's heart. Seeing Vaughn's attitude towards Maggie, I decided to start with Maggie. "Maggie, Brother Vaughn helped you fix your doll. What should you say to him?" I squatted down and said to Maggie. "Wow, Brother Vaughn is amazing!" Maggie clapped her hands happily.

Vaughn smiled slightly and handed the doll back to Maggie.

I took the opportunity to praise him, "Vaughn is such a capable little man! He's sure to become a superhero in the future."

Vaughn glanced at me without saying anything, but I could feel that his eyes were softer than before.

"Vaughn, the teacher has some small cakes here. Would you like to try some?" I took out the prepared desserts.

Vaughan hesitated for a moment, but finally took the cake.

"Thank you," he whispered.

I felt happy because it seemed that Vaughn had relaxed his vigilance against me a little.

I decided to keep up the good work, find more opportunities to communicate with him, and slowly enter his inner world.
