Chapter 7: Rising Storm

The spring rain continued to fall, and the night seemed even darker in the drizzle. The air in the East Palace was filled with tension and unease, and a bigger storm was brewing in the dark.

In a secret room of the Eastern Palace, candlelight dimmed as several of the most trusted guards surrounded Crown Prince Yun Junrui. The air was filled with a solemn tension. Yun Junrui's face remained pale, but his eyes gleamed with determination.

“Your Highness, your current physical condition…” Mo Yan tried to dissuade him with an uneasy tone.

Yun Junrui raised his hand, signaling him not to say anything more. He was well aware of Mo Yan's concerns, but at this point, he had no choice.

"Luo Qi has helped me temporarily suppress the toxins in my body." Yun Junrui's voice was quiet, but it revealed an unquestionable determination. "This time, I must personally search for that rumored closed disciple. This matter is of great importance, and only by personally taking action can I ensure that everything is foolproof."

Mo Xian clenched his fists, his eyes filled with anxiety: "Your Highness, what if this is another enemy trap? If you make a mistake, the entire Eastern Palace, the entire Tianqi Dynasty..."

"Mo Xian, I understand your concerns." Yun Junrui interrupted him, "But if I don't go, they will only become more unscrupulous. The Eastern Palace can't always respond passively. This time, I will take the initiative."

The room was filled with silence. Mo Yan and Mo Xian looked at each other and finally nodded. They knew that the prince had made up his mind and no amount of persuasion would help.

"Your Highness, we will do our best to protect you." Mo Yan said in a deep voice, "All actions will be commanded by Your Highness."

Yun Junrui nodded slightly, his eyes becoming more determined. "I will not allow any mistakes. Let's set off now, under the cover of night, away from everyone's eyes and ears."

Meanwhile, deep within the palace, the queen paced in her chambers, her Buddhist beads clenched tightly in her palm until her knuckles turned white. She had just received news from a spy that the prince's condition was worse than she had expected.

"The Crown Prince has been assassinated again, and he hasn't recovered from the poisoning..." Queen Luo Yaxue muttered softly, a trace of worry flashing in her eyes. She knew very well that there was a deeper conspiracy behind this.

"Your Majesty," Nanny Gui beside her spoke cautiously, "Should we report this to the Emperor?"

The queen stopped and took a deep breath: "No need. Telling the emperor now will only cause more suspicion and panic. We must stabilize the situation first." Her voice was firm and her eyes gradually calmed down.

She knew that in this palace full of intrigue and intrigue, the slightest mistake could lead to a complete loss. And now, no matter what, she could not let anyone know the prince's weakness.

Late at night, Yun Junrui quietly left the Eastern Palace with several of his most trusted guards. The sound of rain drowned out their footsteps, like a group of ghosts moving through the darkness.

The carriage sped along the official road, and Yun Junrui leaned against the inside, his mind racing. Rocky's medicine had temporarily suppressed the poison, but he knew he didn't have much time. Everything in that dream was still as clear as yesterday. He couldn't wait any longer; he couldn't let this nightmare come true.

"Rocky," he called softly. Rocky sat opposite him, his face weary but still alert.

"Your Highness, what do you want?" Rocky sat up straight in a hurry, his tone full of concern.

"You've done your best to suppress my poison, and I'm very grateful." Yun Junrui's voice was a little weak, but his eyes gleamed with determination. "But I want you to continue to nurse me back to health so that I can hold on until I find that last disciple."

Rocky frowned: "Your Highness, your body..."

"I know my physical condition." Yun Junrui interrupted him, his voice revealing an irresistible determination, "But I must go. Only by finding him can I completely get rid of these toxins. Otherwise, my life, and the life of the Apocalypse Dynasty, will be devoured by these poisons."

Rocky was silent for a moment, then finally nodded: "I understand, Your Highness. I will do my best to keep you going until then."

The carriage continued to speed through the night, and Yun Junrui closed his eyes. He knew the road ahead was filled with unknown dangers, but he had no way out. He had to personally search for that glimmer of hope.

However, not long after Yun Junrui and his group left, a figure slowly emerged from a dark alley outside the East Palace. The figure was draped in a black cloak, his face hidden in the shadows, revealing only a pair of eagle-like eyes.

"The prince has already set out." He murmured in a low voice, his voice as cold as a snake's tongue. "Let him go. This will be an interesting hunt."

He turned and disappeared into the night, as if he had never appeared. But his words seemed to foreshadow an impending catastrophe. Yun Junrui and his confidants had no idea that they had become the target of a hunt.

Amidst the wind and rain, Yun Junrui's carriage sped along the dark official road, while a shadow of danger quietly approached. The future of the Eastern Palace, the fate of the Tianqi Dynasty, both swirled in the silent night, gradually heading towards the unknown abyss.
