HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

On Christmas Day, Mrs. Ende dressed Nalilian in her new khaki plaid skirt and camel woolen coat, and braided her hair into two braids.

"It looks like I'm going on an outing," Nalilian commented on herself in the mirror, and Mrs. Ende pinched her cheek hard.

"You look beautiful today, Lillian," Cedric came to meet them outside the door, and when he saw Nalilian, he smiled and handed her a bouquet of mixed red and white roses.

Nalilian took the flowers. "You make me look like I'm back from an outing, Ced."

Then she was hit on the head by Mrs. Ende.

With her head in her hands, Narilla was held in the hand of Mrs. Ende, and followed Cedric into a taxi to the village of Ottery St. Catchpole in Devon.

After the car arrived, she was stuffed into the back seat by Mrs. Ende, while Mrs. Ende sat leisurely in the passenger seat.

Nalilian looked at Cedric outside the car door and shrugged. Cedric laughed, sat in the back seat, leaned gently next to her, and slowly held her hand.

After the taxi started driving, Na Lilian fell asleep leaning against Cedric in the car. Cedric's ears were slightly hot, but because Mrs. Ende was present, he didn't dare to hold Lilian on his lap.

Mrs. Ende looked at this scene with a worried look on her face. "She went to bed at ten o'clock last night and got up at seven o'clock today. She slept for a full nine hours. How could she still sleep?"

Cedric reached out and held Nalilian's swaying body. "Lillian does like to sleep in the car. Auntie, don't worry. She won't be able to sleep at night after sleeping in the car."

Mrs. Ender paused. Although it had only been two days, she found that this friend of Kerston seemed to dote on Lillian even more than Kerston did.

But did his parents really accept Lillian? Were they invited just to dinner? Or were they testing Lillian, just as she was testing the boy?

She said tentatively, "Lillian never usually cooks at home, so she probably won't be able to help much this Christmas."

"Father and Mother won't mind, Aunt," said Cedric. "I told them in advance, and they're very accepting of Lillian."

"I also told them," he said, looking at Na Lilian and smiling, "If they have any requests for Lilian, they can tell me and I will do it for her."

It was a perfect and impeccable answer. Mrs. Ende was completely speechless. Even the taxi driver couldn't help but say, "This boy is really good. You must catch him for your girl."

When the taxi stopped, Cedric took Narilian's hand and led Mrs. Ende around while introducing the situation in the wizard village.

Mrs. Ender only half understood what she heard. There were many things about magic in the wizarding world that she had never heard of, such as Floo powder, which could travel to places through the fireplace, and Muggle shielding spells.

But she found one thing, that is, Nallylian's advice to her to wear flat shoes was the right decision. After all, the distance from the highway to Cedric's house was not a short distance, and her feet would be worn out if she wore high heels.

As for Nalilian, she already had to be dragged along by Cedric.

When they arrived at Cedric's house, Mrs. Diggory greeted them warmly. Mr. Diggory mentioned the perfume and red wine prepared by Mrs. Ender in Cedric's hand, as if his son was already a guest.

Mr. Diggory was horrified. "That's totally unnecessary, Mrs. Ender. I understand Mr. Ender can't come. You don't need to apologize."

Only Nalilian stared at Mrs. Ende with wide eyes, with a look of "Why did you lie?"

Mrs. Ender used her eyes to force her to retract that expression. She couldn't tell the other party that they had abandoned her father. It would be great to let the dead man use the last bit of his life to make Lillian look like a good family.

After changing shoes and entering the house, Cedric went to the kitchen to help Mrs. Diggory prepare lunch. Mrs. Ender started chatting with Mr. Diggory. Nalilian originally wanted to help Cedric, after all, she could still do odd jobs like peeling potatoes, but as soon as she entered the kitchen, Cedric coaxed her to go to the garden to look at the magical plants and goblins.

So during dinner, Nallylian, who had been playing in the mud all morning, saw Mrs. Ender chatting happily with the Diggorys, giving her the feeling that Mrs. Ender was a relative of the Diggory family whom they had not seen for a long time.

"Lillian, come here," Cedric, who was sitting next to her, placed her favorite fried shrimp in front of her.

Nalilian ate sadly, feeling that only Said and she were from the same family at this table.

After lunch, Mrs. Diggory went to wash the dishes, and Mrs. Ender saw the magic of the wizarding world.

Cedric took Nellie to see a bubble pod that he had planted in the corner of the garden during the summer vacation. After being cared for by Mrs. Diggory, it has now grown into a mature plant, full of shiny pink pods.

"Bubble pod," Nalilian recognized it as a plant she had just learned about in herbology class.

"Touch here and it will bloom," Cedric picked up the key in his hand and touched the beans in the pod, and the beans grew flowers.

Narilla opened her eyes wide and gave him a wow expression, even though she had seen it before - it was during an Herbology class when Ron dropped the beans on the floor of the greenhouse to prove to everyone that the knowledge Professor Sprout taught them was not false, although Professor Sprout was not very happy about it.

This made Cedric laugh and he handed her the keys and she squatted on the floor to play with them.

As Cedric was watching Narileen playing with a smile, Mrs. Ende also came out of the house. She looked at Narileen and her heart softened. When she saw Cedric's gaze, her heart moved.

She walked over and asked, "Perhaps you've thought about living in the city in the future, Seth?"

"Downtown?" Cedric was startled and looked at her.

"Yes," Mrs. Ende looked at Nalilian who was playing with the bubble pods. "Lillian might feel fresh and new here for a while, but she is not a child suitable for staying in the countryside."

"She is very good at using digital products such as television and computers, and she is more interested in reading fashion magazines than textbooks."

"She's a girl more suited to a modern city, and probably not a wizard living in a remote town."

Mrs. Ende stood there, looking at the young man in front of her gently but gracefully.

Did he ever try to resolve the gap between the Muggle and wizarding worlds? Was he worthy of her giving Lillian to him?

Cedric smiled and said, "Don't worry, Auntie. There are many wizard families living in hiding in the city."

"I assure you that no matter where Lillian lives, she will definitely live the life she likes best and the freest."
