HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob
Chapter 185 Leaving Traces
The Christmas dinner at Digory's house was very lively. Mr. Digory was very happy. He opened the red wine brought by Mrs. Ender and drank it until he was a little drunk.
Mrs. Ender was also very pleased with the Diggorys, except that Mr. Diggory always liked to talk to her about Keston.
After all, she is marrying off her daughter, not her son.
At Mrs. Diggory's kind invitation, Narilla and Mrs. Ender stayed overnight at Diggory's house.
The next morning, Mrs. Ender woke up Nellie and went to help Mrs. Diggory make breakfast. Nellie was left behind and got up dazedly. She opened the door and the cold wind blew in her face, making her shiver. She saw Cedric waiting in the corridor.
"Good morning, Lillian," he called to her with a smile.
Nalilian stared at him.
Ced's face looked even better in the morning mist.
While she was staring at his face, Cedric took off his own scarf and put it around her, then took off his hat and put it on her.
"I'll take you somewhere today," he said with a smile on his slightly messy hair.
"Don't you want breakfast?" Narilian asked, burying herself in his scarf. The thick, fuzzy fabric with a warming charm made her want to take a nap.
"It might be too late, so Lillian, you need to eat while walking," Cedric said.
So Cedric pulled Nalilian onto the flying broom and led her out on the broom.
Sitting on the flying broom, chewing the still warm sandwich given by Cede, Nalilian looked at her dangling feet, and then looked at Cede who was walking in the snow with one foot deep and one foot shallow, holding the flying broom with a rope in front of him.
What kind of magical world riding style is this?
And because the flying broom was too old, she was the only one who enjoyed this honor.
After finishing breakfast, Nalilian looked around for a while and found that after getting rid of her burden, Sede walked really fast.
They quickly left the village and entered the wilderness. It didn't snow today and the sky was clear. Large clouds were like big palms slapping the sky, letting in a little sunlight that fell on their bodies and made them feel warm.
"My butt hurts," Nalilian cried after watching for a while.
There was only one stick on the flying broom that she could sit on. After sitting sideways for a while, she felt that the stick was about to indent her buttocks.
"I want to come down and walk around," she said.
Cedric shook his head in disapproval, "You'll be trapped."
The snow here was already above his boots.
Nalilian looked at the thickness and estimated that it would reach her calf. She looked at him pitifully and said, "It hurts, Ced."
Cedric smiled, "How about I carry you, Lillian?"
"Ah?" Nalilian was stunned.
So the way they walked became that she was carried on Ced's back, and Ced also held a flying broom.
"Where are you going?" Nalilian asked, leaning on his shoulder and yawning.
"A place you don't want to miss," Cedric kept it a secret.
Nalilian snorted. She couldn't handle him yet. She said, "I'm going to tell my mother that you kidnapped me."
"Okay, Lillian," Cedric said with a laugh, "We'll be there in a moment." He knew what she was planning.
He was so determined that Nalilian gave up and huddled on his back. "Then I'll take a nap."
"Okay," Cedric replied, lowering his voice.
Leaning her face against his shoulder, Nalilian was not convinced that Said would not go along with her, so she guessed, "Is it a flower? Did you plant it outside?"
"No," Cedric responded.
"Is it a Christmas tree?"
"Tomatoes! You planted tomatoes?" She looked up.
"I can plant it in the yard, so there's no need to go outside to see it," Cedric supported her and responded slowly.
"Could it be a squirrel?"
“It’s hard to see squirrels in winter.”
"Is that a rabbit? A snow rabbit?"
"Not at all."
"That's not it, what could it be, a hibernating bear?"
"Just try harder, we're close."
"Well……"
Nalilian was guessing riddles with Ced all the way and was no longer sleepy until her attention was attracted by a bright spot not far away. She stood up from Ced's back.
"Wow……"
It was a waterfall. The waves rushing down from the cliff of dozens of meters rushed into the pool, stirring up a large amount of thin white mist, which drifted into the surrounding snow-covered rocks.
When they got closer, Cedric put her down. This place was close to the waterfall and the snow had melted a lot, so only a shallow footprint was left when Nalilian stepped on it.
Nalilian tried to run, but Cedric held her hand.
“It’s slippery around here,” he said.
So she couldn't run. Nalilian understood what he meant and was led over by him.
The closer they got to the waterfall, the higher it became. The air was filled with steam and the sound of rushing water. Nalilian looked around and suddenly opened her eyes wide. As they approached, the clouds above the waterfall floated away, and the reflected sunlight shone on the water, creating a rainbow.
"Rainbow," she said. "Did you bring me here to see the rainbow and the waterfall? I should have guessed."
"Not exactly," Cedric responded.
He pulled out a glass bottle with a deep pink flower floating in it.
"What is this?" Nalilian asked curiously.
"Waterfall orchid, also known as red river moss," Cedric said, "It's a tropical plant that grows in waterfalls. This potion preserves it. All you need to do is—"
He opened the glass bottle and poured the potion containing the red river moss into the shallow stream under the waterfall. The red river moss fell into the clear stream under the sunlight, and was washed to the riverbed by the water, taking root and slowly stretching its roots.
“Wow, it’s growing on that,” Nalilian said.
"Wait," Cedric said.
Just as she thought Sede was going to show her the magic of the plant, the pink color gradually spread until it covered the entire riverbed.
Nalilian's eyes widened.
Large patches of deep pink, velvety-like flowers swayed in the stream under the sun, ignoring the rocks and snow on both sides of the river being washed away. She thought of the name that Seide had told her -
Waterfall Orchid.
This deep pink only appeared for a brief moment, but it remained in Nalilian's eyes for a long time, making it difficult for her to recover.
"Lillian?"
It was Cedric's call that broke Nallylian's trance.
She looked at him. "Beautiful."
Cedric looked at her helplessly, "Why are you crying?" He reached out and wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes.
Nalilian just looked at him, "Thank you, Sede."
Leaving such a mark in her life.
