HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 183 Except facing her

When Nalilian got off the taxi and got home, she saw a small truck parked in front of her house.

The delivery man came down and asked, "Which of you is Mr. Cedric Diggory? He has a Christmas tree that needs to be signed for."

Nalilian looked at Cedric who had just gotten off the car. He also ordered a Christmas tree?

Cedric went over to sign for it, and she leaned over to look and saw that the name on the order was Kerston.

It turned out that it was ordered by Kerston, but the recipient was actually written as Seth.

Nalilian: ...Okay, okay.

I might as well ask my mother to change his name in the household registration book to Said.

After Cedric signed for it, the deliveryman helped move the Christmas tree into the house. Mrs. Ende was preparing lunch and came over to direct the deliveryman to put the Christmas tree back in its previous location.

After sending the delivery man away, Cedric helped Mrs. Ender prepare lunch, while Nalilian was responsible for wrapping all the gifts she was going to deliver.

She calmly turned on the TV and browsed through several BBC channels until she saw the "Mr. Bean" program. Then she put down the remote control and started packaging while watching TV.

Cedric left the kitchen and saw Nalilian smiling from ear to ear while making gifts. He walked over with the fried fish pieces, picked up one and handed it to her mouth.

"Are you hungry Lillian? Want to try a bite?"

"Okay," Nalilian said, not even looking at the fried fish in front of her. She opened her mouth and took a bite, chewing and saying, "Delicious! Ced! Delicious! You cook the best!"

Her eyes clearly never left the square box.

Cedric had no choice but to smooth her hair. Her hair was messy after she took off her hat when she entered the house. Narielian was laughing out loud because of Mr. Bean. He followed her gaze and looked at the film on the surface of the box, remembering what Keston had told him about the technology in the Muggle world.

No wonder he wished he could make a TV. If this boxy box could broadcast Quidditch, its sales would surely be incalculable.

While he was staring at the TV in thought, Nalilian, who had just finished eating fried fish, leaned over to his cheek and left a greasy mark on it. "It's delicious. Love you, Ced!"

Cedric immediately put those thoughts behind him, smiled, handed over the plate of fried fish and said, "Here's Lillian."

Hearing the boys and girls' playfulness, Mrs. Ende leaned out of the kitchen to watch and couldn't help laughing.

After lunch, Cedric said goodbye again. He needed to take the gift that Nariel had wrapped to the post office in Diagon Alley. Kane, the white owl, could not handle such a heavy delivery task.

Mrs. Ende said goodbye to him again with regret and asked when he would come again. Cedric took the opportunity to invite her and Nallylian to visit his house on Christmas Day.

"My parents would also like to meet Lillian if possible," Cedric said.

Mrs. Ender agreed immediately. It seemed that she and Lillian would be the only ones spending Christmas at home, and it would be more lively if Cedric and his family were there.

After sending Cedric away, Mrs. Ender began to rummage through the drawers, taking out the boxes of jewelry she had hidden and placing them in the living room.

Nalilian, who was watching TV, heard the noise and looked at Mrs. Ende with a confused look on her face, "Mom, what are you doing?"

"To prepare your dowry," said Mrs. Ende, happily rummaging through the jewelry box.

"Dowry?" Nalilian was stunned and murmured, "Is this the Christmas present you want to give me?"

"Of course not," said Mrs. Ender, "I'm going to give you to someone as a Christmas present."

"Oh, that's so cruel," Nalilian turned back to the TV. She and Said couldn't get married. "Then you have to be nice to me from now on."

"You're sending me away after all."

Mrs. Ende was startled and stopped busy collecting.

Seeing this, Nalilian glanced at her and turned back to watching TV, but Mrs. Ende remained silent. She couldn't help but look at her again and found tears falling from her eyes.

"Are you sad?" Nalilian asked in panic, "Is it because of what I just said?"

Mrs. Ender didn't answer her, but reached out to wipe away her tears.

"I was just talking nonsense, Mom," Nalilian jumped off the sofa, ran over and sat beside her, "How could I leave you? Even if you gave me to someone else, I would come back."

Mrs. Ende wiped her tears and shook her head, "If you dare to run back, I will break your legs."

Nalilian: "...Mom, please don't say such harsh words when you are crying."

Mrs. Ende reached out and hugged her, "You've grown up in the blink of an eye. Mom hasn't even thought about you yet, and you're about to get married."

What marriage? There's no way this could happen, Nalilian thought, leaning against her chest. But she couldn't argue with her, so she could only jokingly say, "Why don't we let Said marry into the family? That way, Mom will have another son."

Anyway, the way Kerston looks is no different from if he is not a son in the family.

"I hope you can have a happy family, Lillian," Mrs. Ende stroked her long hair. "Maybe there is no enviable status and power, but it can allow you to do what you want and make you feel happy and free."

"Mom," Nalilian grabbed her clothes and leaned into her arms.

"Don't be angry with your brother," Mrs. Ender recalled what Cedric had told her in the kitchen about the quarrel between the two siblings. "Kirsten just can't bear to leave you."

Nalilian lowered her eyes and did not answer.

"It's hard for me to let go, Lillian," Mrs. Ender said. "How could your brother, who was always there for you, let you go? He's running away from his own feelings."

"He actually planned everything for you."

Mrs. Ende picked up a pile of gift boxes with a letter on top and gave it to Nalilian.

Nalilian was stunned after receiving it——

"Mom, you once told me that I wouldn't be able to take care of Lillian forever. But don't worry, she has found someone who can take care of her for the rest of her life. He's Cedric, Cedric Diggory. You should know him. He and Lillian are together. He will come to visit this Christmas and you can test him. The attached page is his basic information. Don't worry about Dad, he won't bother you. The purple box of gifts is for you, and the blue box is for Lillian. Please put them in Lillian's Christmas stocking for me. I won't be home this Christmas and I have asked Cedric to take care of Lillian. Please forgive me. Also, I wish you and Lillian a Merry Christmas. By Kxton"

He really has everything ready, Nalilian closed the letter.

Except for facing her.
