Gold Medal Sweetheart

Chapter 23 Tie You Up

This action was a bit too intimate. She knew the man in front of her was the real Jin Tae-taek, but she had no idea she was the fake Guan Yu-shan. Even if Yu-shan had asked her to put on a show, until he officially severed ties with her, he couldn't get over the fact that he was someone else's man. His mind was filled with warning signs like "Don't cheat on your friend's wife."

Seeing the girl sitting there motionless, the man raised his eyebrows and glanced at her, as if to ask, "What are you thinking about?" But his hand grabbed the girl's wrist and gently pulled her body. The girl fell over limply, but his eyes held her eyes that had suddenly widened in surprise.

Although Jin Taize's hand was not strong, he still held her firmly in front of him. She struggled hard, but it did not pose any real threat to him.

Tang Xin gave up resistance in frustration, straightening her back, revealing the graceful, flowing lines of her back. She raised her head and leaned close to his ear. The moment her breath reached him, the man lowered his head, a smile of triumph spreading across his face like a cat that had stolen some meat.

The girl's chin vaguely lingered on the man's profile, and her slightly opened lips rubbed against his earbone with a soft breath. The simple sentence she had just repeated many times now sounded like a charming spell, making people feel itchy.

Tang Xin's face flushed bright red. Her actions just now looked like a couple whispering to each other.

Jin Taize suddenly understood, as if to say, "So that's what you meant," and said, "I'm eating here too."

Tang Xin, "..." This is really a golden plaster.

Lunch at the library typically consisted of three dishes and a soup, a standard meal of one meat and two vegetables. Tang Xin and Jin Taize carried their trays and found an empty seat to sit down.

"I'm going on a business trip abroad tomorrow." Jin Taize mentioned it as if chatting casually.

Tang Xin had lowered her head to eat, but when she heard him say that, she suddenly raised her head and asked, "How long will it take?"

After thinking about the schedule reported by his assistant Hu Yang, Jin Taize replied, "About a week."

"Oh," Tang Xin answered, trying to maintain a near-calm tone. But inside, a small figure was waving a flag and shouting, hoping that she could live a few days away from the emperor. Born in a peaceful era, she could always appreciate the happiness of the liberated serfs. The thought of returning to a normal life filled her with joy.

Jin Taize rested his elbows on the table, covering his chin with his fists. He tilted his head and frowned, his deep gaze piercing Tang Xin's face. "You seem very happy?"

Tang Xin's hand holding the food froze in mid-air with a smile on her face. Was it that obvious? She had tried her best to suppress the crazy joy in her heart.

She raised her head, squinted her eyes and smiled, explaining, "I'm happy for you."

"Oh?" Jin Taize raised a questioning tone in his voice, ready to listen attentively.

Tang Xin blinked and explained, using both emotional and logical eloquence, "That means the Shitian brand's influence is growing. It's poised to take the world by storm. That's why I'm so happy."

Jin Taize remained silent for a long time, staring at Tang Xin with a tingling feeling. Her ability to come up with impromptu nonsense had improved over time with Jin Taize. After a long pause, Jin Taize snorted softly, his voice flat, "That's so fake."

Tang Xin, "..."

The excuses she had worked so hard to come up with were shattered by just a few words.

"Your expression clearly shows that you're ready to go out and have an affair while I'm away from the country." Jin Taize's lips curled up slightly, and his playful tone gave his teasing words a layer of rogueness.

Tang Xin's face suddenly flushed. This person had no sense of joking. What kind of person was he talking about her? She immediately tightened her waistline and denied it, "No way."

The panicked eyes met the evil in the raised eyebrows of the noble Jin Taize, and the fingers tapping on the table made him look calm and composed in his control.

Tang Xin exclaimed inwardly, it's over, the trap has fallen deeper.

Before that, at most they had exchanged WeChat messages and met a few times. She eagerly denied the accusation of cheating, but her firm denial indirectly acknowledged their so-called romantic relationship.

Jin Taize looked at Tang Xin with a muffled smile, turned around and seemed to be taking something out of the pocket of his suit that was resting on the back of the chair. Tang Xin's eyes were unconsciously drawn to his movements.

Jin Taize took the things and turned around to see Tang Xin straightening her back and looking towards his suit.

Unexpectedly, Jin Taize suddenly turned around, and Tang Xin's eyes met his. Her amusing look was seen by everyone, and her whole body seemed to be written with embarrassment. She quickly lowered her head, cleared her throat, and pretended to continue eating as if nothing had happened.

The man's strong palm easily grasped the girl's wrist completely in his palm. Tang Xin's eating was interrupted by his sudden action. Her eyes followed her wrist until she was pulled in front of him by his force.

Jin Taize opened the exquisite little box he had just taken out, and a glittering bracelet, simple yet chic, was hanging between his fingers. He picked up the bracelet and placed it on Tang Xin's arm, which was as slender as a jade lotus root.

Tang Xin subconsciously pulled her hand back, but Jin Taize pulled it back even faster, "Don't move."

It was fine for her to put on a show, but accepting other people's things was completely unacceptable to her. Using Yu Shan's name to make money was just a complete scam. Tang Xin still insisted, "I can't accept this." But her arm was completely under his control.

Jin Taize didn't say anything, but just lowered his head to fasten the clasp of her bracelet. His eyes were lowered, and his quiet and serious look made Tang Xin couldn't help but lower her voice and look at his face.

"Alright." Jin Taize released her hand and lowered his gaze to admire the pale gold bracelet with a diamond-encrusted hollow pattern that shone on her wrist, making the lines of her wrist even more sleek. The corners of his mouth curled up in satisfaction.

Tang Xin hurriedly raised his wrist to find the buckle to unfasten it, and said hastily: "I really can't take this."

"It's not expensive." Jin Taize's wrist was grasped by him. His eyes were dim and he spoke slowly: "It's mainly to prevent you from cheating. I use this to tie you down."

Tang Xin, "..."
