The Romantic Life of a Goblin

Chapter 7: Set a small goal first and become the leader

Allen was acutely aware of the potential crisis and reacted quickly, dodging the other person's hand that was reaching for his face by leaning sideways.

In the world of goblins, anger, violence, bloodthirstiness and lust are their nature.

In the society of monsters, obedience to the strong is an unshakable rule.

The leader has supreme power in the lair, and his orders are like imperial decrees and cannot be questioned.

The goblin leader considered Allen's avoidance a challenge to his authority, especially since the goblin was just an adult cub.

Alan knew that the old goblin and the leader seemed to be brothers, but he couldn't stand the large number of goblins now, so he roared and ran out of the cave.

Fortunately, the goblin leader didn't take the newly adult cub seriously at all. Seeing that the cub was running away so quickly, he was too lazy to chase after it and continued wrestling and playing poker. The other goblins didn't waste time chasing after it and also followed suit by wrestling and playing poker.

Alan ran out of the nest in one breath. It was almost noon outside. Goblins hide during the day and come out at night. The sunlight shone through the leaves onto the empty cave in the rock wall, and mottled light and shadows swayed back and forth.

Goblin City is a nocturnal creature that just ran out of its dark nest. The dazzling light made Alan very uncomfortable, but the cool fresh air outside the cave also calmed his panic.

Away from the foul smell, the breath of the forest is fresh and natural. The protagonist sits on the stone at the entrance of the cave, calms his rapid breathing, and after calming down a little, he begins to meditate and reflect again.

Mastering the Force gave Alan a strong belief that he could no longer live a dependent life in this goblin's nest.

Alan pondered for a while and made a decision: "Let's set a small goal first, a... no, I want to become stronger and become the leader of this nest first!"

The air in the woods at this time is moist and clear, the sun is shining brightly, and occasionally one or two birds and animals can be heard singing. Sitting here quietly, one's mind will slowly return to calm.

After pulling aside some weeds, Alan sat cross-legged and began to meditate and experience the Force again.

The Force was his only support before and the foundation of his survival.

As he meditated, Alan felt the Force constantly flowing through his body. It seemed that because of the blood of the goblin monster, the dark side of the Force seemed to be more in line with it. Excitement and desire became the source of strength.

Most of the day had passed, the afterglow of the sun flickered on the mountainside, and the forest under the shade of the tall trees had become dark and gloomy. A group of goblins came out of the cave noisily. It seemed that it was time to hunt, and the leader was the goblin leader who was more sturdy than the other goblins.

A group of goblins were surprised to find Alan sitting cross-legged under a tree in the distance. They didn't know what was wrong with him and why he was sitting there.

Yesterday's dispute had long been forgotten by the goblin leader with a huge brain. Besides, the little goblin had not offended him. It was just that the old goblin asked him to teach him a lesson. Forget it. Hunting and collecting food were more important.

After the adult goblin walked away, several other young goblins ran over and made squeaking gestures to Alan, suggesting that they go to the nearby river to catch fish and insects to eat.

But Alan ignored them, stood up and waved his hand to indicate that he had something else to do and didn't want to eat fish, then walked back to the nest. The cubs were puzzled and thought that there was something wrong with his brain.

The nest was still the same as yesterday, with foul air and a mess everywhere.

The slaves had been moved back to the inner room, and several old goblins were collecting firewood and cauldrons in the hall.

The goblin who was taught a lesson by Allen and reported to his leader seemed to have forgotten what happened yesterday and did not come over to cause trouble. Allen did not sense any danger from the other party.

Alan walked up to the old goblin who fed the women the medicine soup yesterday.

From my memory, he seemed to be the priest of this nest. He could perform shaman dances and mix herbs. When wrestling and playing cards, he was always the first one in line except for the leader and the middle-aged goblins. He was always relatively close to the front and seemed to have some status.

There are probably many questions that can be asked to it.

Alan felt that he currently knew too little common sense about this world.

The old goblin priest had a small stronghold in the cave. Because he was a shaman, Alan came to his private stronghold and saw only a grease lamp lit on the rock wall, which just covered the entire stronghold, making the light in the stronghold brighter than other places.

Looking more closely, there was a small charcoal fire burning in the middle of the stronghold, and a small bed made of branches covered with animal fur, which looked much more comfortable than a bed filled with thatch or grass.

Alan confirmed his inner thoughts. This shaman was indeed different from other goblins.

Alan walked towards the old goblin, and when the old goblin saw him coming, he immediately frowned and started to curse:

"Why are you hanging around here instead of going to find something to eat?! Get lost!"

Alan discovered that the buzzword in this nest was "get out". This was the word he heard the most since yesterday.

All the goblins spoke in the same tone, but he also found that this old goblin was different from the others. He spoke much more fluently and had more vocabulary.

Allen: "I have something to ask you. Are you a priest?"

This time it was the goblin's turn to be surprised. It was truly amazing that this cub had such fluent expression skills.

You should know that most goblins have low IQs and can only know a few simple phrases at most, such as "get out," "hungry," "eat," "woman," and so on.

Looking left and right, the goblin didn't find anything special about the cub in front of him. He didn't know how it suddenly became smart.

The old goblin said: "I am not even a priest yet, what do you want to ask?"

There were few goblins in the lair who could communicate clearly, so the old goblin decided to listen to what he had to say.

Alan said, "Well, what's your name?"

Alan suddenly realized that not only himself, but other goblins also seemed to have never called each other by their names. This situation was very strange.

The old goblin said: "Name? How can I have a name?"

The old goblin didn't expect the cub to ask such a question. He thought he was going to ask about eating, drinking, wrestling, and playing poker. After all, these are what the goblins in this small tribe care about most.

The old goblin thought about it and told Allen what he knew:

"We are not named monsters. We all have no names. Only those powerful named goblins are qualified to have their own names or titles."

For monsters, names and titles are not simple code names, but have special meanings.

Monsters with a "name" are called named monsters. Usually, these monsters have certain powers or special abilities and can be considered strong.
