Chapter 10: Stingy Wilson

"Good morning, Night City! Yesterday's dead lottery..."

This is Night City's most famous host, the famous Death Lotto announcer, Stanley.

However, before Stanley could finish speaking, Jack turned off the TV.

"What bad luck! I just turned on the TV and this stupid show is on." Jack cursed.

It seems like Jack has been unhappy with this show for a long time.

"No, Jack. Just listen first." Ling Luxian, who had just washed his face, walked out of the bathroom and said.

"No way, Chico. Do you really believe this?" Jack looked at Ling Luxian in disbelief.

"Don't you know that the dead lottery is all a bluff? The data is just filled in randomly."

Ling Luxian shrugged, "I know, but no matter what, he has to leave some spots for the common people, just for those idiots to see."

Ling Luxian already knew the trick of this kind of program. It uses a bunch of idiots who want to get something for nothing to support the idiots who really want to get something for nothing.

Jack was shocked, "You know that the people who buy this are idiots, and you still watch this?!"

"What if I win?" Ling Luxian said as he bought a death lottery ticket for 30 people.

According to the opening plot of the game, 30 people will win at one time. As long as you keep buying 30, you will win once.

"Haven't you been quite calm all along? You actually bought this?" Jack was stunned when he saw Ling Luxian really bought the lottery ticket.

"This thing is used to cheat people's money who are optimistic about the outcome." Ling Lu replied.

"You know about feelings!"

"Then do you think I'm short of money?" Ling Luxian turned around and glanced at Jack.

"Oh my god, what a pretentious thing to say." Jack imitated it in a weird way, "Do you think I'm short of money?"

"You can just say this to me, buddy. If you say it outside, I'm afraid you'll get beaten to death. It's too infuriating."

Ling Luxian sighed and said, "Jack, you don't understand this. Poor people have their own happiness, while rich people..."

"Rich people have their own worries?" Jack interrupted.

"No, I mean the happiness of rich people. You can't even imagine it." Ling Luxian said righteously.

Jack laughed and cursed, "Fuck you."

"Ah~ Don't worry, my money is not that easy to take." Ling Luxian stretched and said, "Jack, let's call Rebecca and the others and go to the gun store you mentioned to have a look."

"Let's go. Wilson saw that I called so many people here and he didn't know how to thank me." Jack said, shaking his head.

"You're still being conceited. Maybe you'll just go to his shop and pick out a gun as a thank-you gift." Ling Lu rolled his eyes at Jack.

Shit! That's really possible. This guy is well-known for being stingy.

Jack understood some of what he said. He had to think of a way to shut Wilson's mouth and make him bleed profusely.

"Dong dong dong."

Ling Luxian knocked on Rebecca's door.

"Hey, are you guys awake? Go out for a walk."

Ling Luxian didn't have to wait long before Rebecca opened the door wearing cool clothes and holding a toothbrush in her mouth, obviously washing up.

Ling Luxian widened his eyes and asked, "You're wearing this?"

Rebecca opened the door and went back to the bathroom to wash up. As she walked, she said, "What? Are you still shy? It seems that I am quite charming."

"Tsk, frying pan." Ling Luxian commented contemptuously.

Veins popped out on Rebecca's head and the toothbrush in her hand was clenched into two.

He said in a calm and cold voice: "If you say that again, I'll break your legs. By the way, I'm talking about the third one."

"I dare not, I dare not." Ling Luxian squeezed her legs together, as if she had phantom pain, and quickly waved her hands to apologize.

After Rebecca and Pira finished washing up, Ling Luxian explained their purpose.

"Let's go to Jack's friend's gun shop and take a look. Jack said the guns he modified are amazing."

Pyrrha readily agreed and said, "Okay, we're free now. After that, I'll take you to meet our boss this afternoon."

"no problem."

Mann? Ling Luxian had long wanted to meet this big guy.

In other words, Mann wanted to meet all the members of his team.

If it wasn't inappropriate, Ling Luxian would have wanted to ask for their autographs.

Jack said: "He was the one who gave me the information about this building. His store is just downstairs, very close."

After walking a few steps, we arrived at Wilson's store.

Wilson saw Jack and hurried over.

"Hey, Jack. I fixed your gun for you. What do you think?"

Jack took the gun in his hand and played with it carefully. The golden gun body and the exaggerated relief were in line with the stereotype of the people of Night City about the Valentino Gang.

"Jack you are from the Valentino gang right?" Pyrrha asked.

This feature was so obvious that Ling Luxian thought Jack would say something in a Northeastern accent the next second, "How did you know that?"

As expected, it’s not Northeastern flavor, but Mexican flavor.

Jack said, "How do you know? I was in the Valentino gang, but I quit."

Pyrrha looked at the gun, then at Jack, "Your style is so easy to recognize."

When Pyrrha saw the gun in Jack's hand, her eyes were drawn to it.

"Jack, can you let me see your gun?" Pyrrha asked inquiringly.

"Sure," Jack said, shoving one gun into his waistband and handing the other to Pyrrha.

Pyrrha turned the gun over and over, pulling on the slide to see the internal structure.

"Wow, this Nue has been modified so well. Apart from other things, the penetration of the barrel has been greatly improved. The only drawback is that the firing rate has been slowed down."

Pyrrha's comment touched Wilson's heart.

"Sure, my friend. It seems you are pretty good at modifying guns!"

Wilson liked people who knew about guns the most, so based on this statement, Pyrrha was his friend.

Of course, it is impossible to get a discount. In the eyes of this stingy man, that is not a discount, it is costing him half his life.

Pyrrha returned the gun to Jack and said, "You are too polite. It will take a long time for my skills to catch up with yours."

Jack poked Wilson's belly and said, "Look, I brought you so many customers, you have to treat me to a meal, right?"

Wilson hesitated for a long time, gritted his teeth and said, "Okay, let's go to the 24-hour restaurant over there to eat later."

Jack was stunned. "You're going to treat me to this? Did you hear what the diners over there said? That thing might not even taste as good as boiled urine."

Wilson's heart was bleeding. Inviting Jack to dinner was already the biggest decision he had ever made, and now Jack actually picked him?

But Jack was determined to make him bleed profusely, and Wilson had no choice.

Wilson gritted his teeth again and said, "Okay, then you decide."

Jack looked at Wilson's distressed expression and said, "I won't talk about Fran's Restaurant or those big-name restaurants. Just Tom's Restaurant. You can afford it, right?

Also, I can’t go alone, my friends have to go too, okay?”

"All right!" Wilson said in a trembling voice.

Ling Luxian seemed to hear the sound of teeth breaking. Jack really taught this stingy man a good lesson.

In my heart, I silently mourn for Wilson.
