Snape put away the document he had just read and looked at everyone seriously.

"I regret to inform all of you that Hogwarts has been attacked. Even more unfortunately, the Slytherin students have also been affected by each other's attacks. If you don't want to be petrified or encounter worse phenomena, then follow the rules. I don't want to find Slytherin students in the infirmary again. It will make me very-sad."

-

"This incident makes me very sad. If we can't find the criminals who threaten the safety of students, then I am afraid that this school is very likely to be closed. So, please come forward bravely if you have any clues about this matter."

It was Professor McGonagall of Gryffindor, who awkwardly exited through the small door by the Fat Lady's portrait.

"What is going on? Why is this happening?" asked a Gryffindor student.

"It's Gryffindor who was petrified, but that Slytherin wasn't. That's obvious. How could a Slytherin possibly fight a Slytherin? She is the evil heir!"

"We can't make any definitions until the facts are fully revealed." Fred stood up.

"That girl is not some evil heir." George also stood up.

"Are you twins trying to protect a Slytherin?" someone said unhappily.

"Reina isn't that kind of person," Harry retorted.

"She follows Malfoy every day, who knows what kind of person she is? You know her so well, could it be that you are not a Gryffindor at all? I remember that the one who was petrified was your friend."

"If you can't speak, I can sew your mouth shut for you." Angelina shouted while lying on the sofa.

"At least in times of crisis like this we should unite instead of being divided like here." Percy spoke as the prefect, "I am the prefect, I think I still have the right to deal with some of the scum of the house."

In the Slytherin common room.

Unlike the noisy Gryffindor, this place is filled with low pressure. The senior students have all returned to their dormitories and rarely show up in matters that have nothing to do with them. Moreover, Malfoy is in charge of this matter, and the other junior students don't have much say.

Draco sat on the sofa next to the fireplace with a gloomy face, and several second-year students were also gathered here.

"How is Reina?" Millicent asked first.

"Madam Pomfrey said...it was a dark magic other than petrification. I'm not sure which one it was." Draco's voice was a little eerie.

"Where was Lockhart this morning?" he asked.

"He's not in the office." Theodore said, "When you were out, I went to his office on the fourth floor and there was no one there. The third floor was still normal at that time."

"Why is Miss Know-It-All there, too?" Pansy asked.

"I think it's very likely that she is following Reina. Tomorrow is the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. According to the behavior of those stupid lions, they are still in Quidditch training today. Granger should go with Potter, unless she finds something that arouses some of her strange qualities." Blaise played with the spoon in the cup and spoke logically.

"Like she saw Lockhart?" Draco squinted at him.

"It's possible, isn't it? Tell me, why did Lockhart go to the hospital wing? He thought he cared about the students so much, but it was a bit unnecessary for him to go to the hospital wing to visit the students." Blaise leaned back, always looking like "When disaster strikes, others will leave and I will watch the show."

"Professor Snape must have known this," said Theodore.

"He didn't say anything, and that's what I find strange," Draco responded.

"Is Lockhart that powerful?"

As soon as these words came out, everyone turned their eyes to Pansy who was speaking.

"Hey, Miss, do you want to challenge the professor in a one-on-one fight?" Blaise teased.

"What do you want to say?" Draco ignored Blaise's words.

"I always feel that you think Lockhart is too powerful. Although we don't know whether Lockhart's appearance is acting, I don't think his real ability should be that strong." Pansy said, "Besides, sometimes he really doesn't look like he's acting."

"Then how does Lena explain it?" Theodore said.

"But if it's really as we guessed, why doesn't Professor Snape care about it? He should like Reina very much."

"I support Pansy," Millicent said, "Don't underestimate a girl's intuition."

"If something happens to Granger, the Potters will definitely not just sit there and do nothing. I will keep an eye on them. They must know some clues that we don't know." Draco said.

"Pansy, you and Theodore, keep observing Lockhart. Blaise, you look for the secret room. Millicent, find some time to go to the women's restroom on the third floor to see if there's anything strange. It's best to go with Daphne."

"What about us?" Goyle raised his hand and pointed at Crabbe.

"You guys follow me... No, you guys should go collect rumors from those students."

"Ah... oh."

?

After the attack, Harry never saw Hogwarts after sunset again due to the school's emphasis on it.

In the dark and quiet corridors, teachers, prefects, and ghosts walked around, keeping an eye on everything around them. Professors stood guard in different areas.

That night, the stars were exceptionally bright, and there was not a cloud to block the moonlight.

Harry and Ron, wearing invisibility cloaks, walked through the silent castle corridors, bypassed one patrolman after another, brushed past Professor Snape's robes and left the castle, hurriedly walking towards Hagrid's hut where the lights were on.

They stood at the door and knocked hard on it.

After a few seconds, Hagrid flung the door open, crossbow in hand pointed at the door, Fang sat on the sofa staring into the darkness outside the door.

Harry and Ron took off their invisibility cloaks.

"Oh, it's you." Hagrid put down his bow and arrow and invited the two in.

"What's that?" Harry asked, pointing at the bow and arrow.

"Nothing," muttered Hagrid. "I thought it was all right. Come on, I made some tea...."

Hagrid was dazedly refilling his full cup.

"Are you all right, Hagrid?" Harry asked. "Did you hear about Hermione?"

"Oh, I heard that."

Just as they were about to sit down to discuss, there was a sudden knock on the door.

Hagrid quickly asked Harry and Ron to hide. He picked up the bow and arrow on the table and pulled the door open again.

"Good evening, Hagrid." It was Dumbledore, followed by a man with messy hair, an anxious expression, and mixed clothes.

"It's him!" Harry and Ron both looked at that person, who had appeared when Peter Pettigrew was captured at the Burrow, the Minister of Magic - Cornelius Fudge.

Hagrid seemed to be in a bad state. Dumbledore and Fudge walked in. Hagrid looked at Dumbledore for help, and then turned to Fudge.
