On the day of graduation, I was dragged by my rich father to get the certificate
Chapter 232 The Jealous King is online
"You are really... crazy..." Gu Wan panted in the kiss, "If you are found out..."
"Then let her see." Si Yehan's voice was filled with dangerous possessiveness. "Let her know who you really belong to."
Steam rose again in the bathroom, but not from the hot water. On the brink of danger and desire, two lovers possessed each other passionately, transforming their longing for each other into the most primitive form of body language.
Si Yehan's actions were both rough and gentle. He just wanted to make up for the past few days of separation.
Gu Wan bit Si Yehan's shoulder to prevent a sound, but she couldn't control her body's reaction. Every touch from Si Yehan was like a fire ignited within her, making her forget all danger and worries.
"Tell me you miss me." Si Yehan commanded in her ear, his voice low and sexy.
"I miss you... every minute and every second..." Gu Wan replied breathlessly, running her fingers through his black hair.
Si Yehan chuckled contentedly, but suddenly stopped. "Someone's coming," he said, keenly aware of footsteps in the corridor.
Gu Wan's heart almost stopped. This time it wasn't Nangong Xuan, but a lighter sound of footsteps—it was Nian Nian!
"Hide!" She pushed Si Yehan away in panic and grabbed the bath towel to wrap herself.
Si Yehan quickly gathered his clothes and dodged into the shower. Almost immediately, the bedroom door opened, and a little girl's clear voice rang out, "Mom? Are you taking a shower? Grandma said dinner's ready."
Gu Wan took a deep breath, trying to calm her breathing and heartbeat. "Baby, Mommy will be right away. Can you go downstairs and wait for me?"
"Okay, then hurry up!" Nian Nian agreed obediently, and the footsteps gradually faded away.
After confirming her daughter had left, Gu Wan breathed a sigh of relief, her legs limp as she leaned against the wall. Si Yehan emerged from the shower room, a look of discontent and irritation on his face.
"I have to go." He whispered, but pulled Gu Wan into his arms again and kissed her fiercely. "I came here to tell you not to get into a conflict with Nangong Xuan. Grandma and I have discussed this, and staying here might be the best disguise for you."
"you mean?"
"Only in this way can Murray not get suspicious."
"Okay, I'll listen to you."
"Be good, until I find that page in the account book, I will come to see you whenever I have time."
"No, it's too dangerous!" Gu Wan looked at him worriedly, "Mother has clearly become suspicious."
"Don't worry..." Si Yehan stared into her eyes. "Only when I see you and your daughter safe and sound will everything I do have meaning."
Gu Wan hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded.
Si Yehan suddenly stared at the scratches on Gu Wan's neck. After a moment's silence, he said, "Promise me, you won't get hurt again, even for my sake."
He pulled a small cell phone from his pocket and put it in Gu Wan's hand: "Hide it, it only has my number. Contact me immediately if anything happens."
"Okay, I will. Let's go now, before the guards notice us," she urged, unable to resist hugging him again. "Be careful."
Si Yehan gave her forehead a final kiss and quietly left the bathroom. Gu Wan finally relaxed as she listened to his light footsteps disappear down the hallway, only to find her legs still trembling slightly.
She looked at herself in the mirror—her swollen lips, flushed cheeks, and fresh kiss marks on her neck—all of which revealed what had just happened. Gu Wan hurriedly turned on the cold water and slapped her face, trying to calm herself down.
"Mom! Are you okay?" Nian Nian's voice came from downstairs.
"Come right away, baby!" Gu Wan responded loudly, quickly drying her body and changing into a high-necked dress to cover the marks.
As she exited the bathroom, her gaze drifted unconsciously to the window. It was already dark, but she knew that, somewhere, Si Yehan was watching her. This realization filled her with both fear and sweetness, like walking on a tightrope, knowing the danger but unable to resist the thrill.
Gu Wan took a deep breath, composed herself, and left the room. She had to act normal, for Nian Nian's sake and for Si Yehan's safety.
Downstairs, Nangong Xuan's sharp eyes locked onto her the moment she appeared. Gu Wan forced herself to smile and walked towards her daughter who was waiting for her and the mother who might discover the truth at any time.
After this successful infiltration, Si Yehan had become familiar with the route, and he went there three more times within the next week.
Raindrops trickled down the collar of Si Yehan's uniform, but the coldness couldn't quench the fire burning in his chest. He adjusted his headset, ensuring the monitoring room could hear his deliberately heavy breathing—as if he'd just finished a patrol.
"No abnormalities in Area B." He reported into the communicator, his voice deliberately lowered to a hoarse state.
The guard on duty replied lazily through the headset: "Received, No. 3 and No. 4. The master wants you to go to the east wing study to get the documents."
Si Yehan's pupils suddenly constricted. East Wing Study? It's right next to Gu Wan's room. What was Nangong Xuan up to?
Si Yehan instinctively touched the pistol at his waist. "Understood," he replied briefly before finding another excuse to send Number 4 away.
Turning the corner of the corridor, Si Yehan's steps suddenly froze. Through the half-open study door, he saw Liang Heng leaning over and whispering something in Gu Wan's ear, his fingers resting naturally on her shoulders. Gu Wan was wearing the lavender housecoat—the one Si Yehan had specially made for her.
"Wanwan, I've already modified this blueprint for you." Liang Heng's voice was as gentle as jade, and his fingers slid from her shoulder to the edge of the blueprint. "Master is right, you should get more rest."
Si Yehan's knuckles were white from clenching his fists. Liang Heng's "Wanwan" was like a blunt knife stabbing into his chest.
Gu Wan turned slightly to avoid Liang Heng's hand: "Thank you, Master, but I'm really fine."
Si Yehan caught a flash of discomfort in her eyes, which eased the dull pain in his chest. Just then, Liang Heng suddenly pulled a small velvet box from his pocket.
“Master asked me to give this to you.” He opened the box, revealing a diamond ring that shone brightly in the light. “She said…it’s time.”
Si Yehan's blood froze instantly. He was about to charge in when his headset suddenly blared, "Number 3, Number 4! Come to the front hall immediately. The master of the house is looking for you!"
Liang Heng raised his head alertly, looking towards the door. Si Yehan quickly dodged into the shadows. The last thing he saw was Gu Wan's pale face and her trembling hand as she pushed the ring away.
"I'll be there right away." He gritted his teeth and turned around, punching the wall hard, not even noticing the blood oozing from his knuckles.
Then he found an excuse to hide in the bathroom, and asked No. 4 to report alone to avoid face-to-face contact with Nangong Xuan.
