Chapter 458: The ability of molecule man!

However, the bond between the Beyonder and Owen proved to be short-lived when the Tesseract evolved into a female form known as Kosmos. Owen was expelled from the Tesseract, stripped of his powers, and returned to Earth. [4] There, he returned to his former apartment in Colorado, where he pondered for several weeks what to do.

Fate brings Martha back into his life briefly when she comes to clean the apartment, and the two are reunited. However, they are soon attacked by Owen's former partner, Crow, who is hired by AIM (Advanced Idea Mechanics) to capture Owen in hopes of learning the secrets of the abilities he once used.

During the fight, Martha was surprised to discover that she could gain powers that she could barely comprehend. As Klaue gained the upper hand in the fight, Owen revealed that he had given Klaue some of his former powers before merging with the Tesseract.

Martha soon gave the ability back to Owen, who was reborn as Molecule Man once again, albeit with his original limitations. When Owen destroyed the devices that forced Klaue to work for AIM, he defeated them and left, not caring about the work he was forced to do.

After the battle, Martha admitted that she was not ready to rekindle a relationship with Owen, especially in light of their recent battle. Owen sadly left, giving Martha time to think. The Fallen began his own solitary life in the Colorado Rockies, where he built a home and a temple for Martha.

It was during this time that, when the Fantastic Four failed to rescue his stepdaughter, Alicia Masters, Owen was manipulated by the Puppet Master into rescuing her from Aron the Rogue Watcher.

Owen, unaware that he was being enslaved by the Puppet Master, ran to the North Pole to battle Aron. However, the Watcher proved too powerful, and Owen was defeated. When he awoke, the Fantastic Four and Alicia were free, and Aron was defeated.

Owen, undetected, wonders what compelled him to go there and fight Aron, before he quietly flees the scene. Owen eventually returns to his apartment and falls into depression over the loss of Martha.

He eventually succumbs to his grief and allows his evil personality to take control again. With the so-called "real" Molecule Man back in control, he seeks revenge on the one who caused him to lose Martha - the Beyonder.

Using his immense and apparently once again unlimited strength, he pulled the Beyonder from Cosmos' body, leaving her in a state of death. The two battled across time, space, and dimensions until Kubik caught up with them, forcing them to see that their battle had the potential to destroy the universe.

With Cosmo's life also in danger, Kubik convinced Irving to accept his grief. Seeing how wrong he was to lash out at others and not wanting to repeat the mistakes he made earlier in his career, Irving got back to normal, and got back to the form that was Cosmos. Irving found new resolve and vowed to turn over a new leaf in his life, even if it was just one step at a time.

However, Owen's mental state begins to fail again and reverts to his evil self once again, and Owen seeks the help of gamma-powered psychiatrist Doc Samson to help him sort out his problems.

While kidnapping Samson, Owen draws the attention of She-Hulk, who comes to his aid. This fight helps Owen come to terms with the loss of Martha once again and proves his strength once again.

He thanked Samson and She-Hulk, then left the scene of the fight. Owen later attended Titania and the Absorbing Man's wedding, where he briefly met Martha again. When Martha tried to strike up a conversation with him, Owen angrily rejected her and dumped him. Months later, Owen became one of the many Fantastic Four enemies called upon by the Puppet Master and the Mad Thinker.

The Puppet Master suggests that they pool their resources to destroy the enemy, but is unwilling to cooperate. The gathered villains then leave the meeting, unaware that they left behind a DNA sample as part of The Thinker's complex plot.

The DNA samples eventually fell into the hands of the Fantastic Four, who, under the manipulation of the Thinker, captured all of their old enemies and imprisoned them in a new vault prison in the Negative Zone. Molecule Man was one of the many enemies captured and imprisoned here.

Owen was eventually transferred to Rafter Prison off the coast of New York City. Shortly thereafter, the supervillain known as Electro was hired to stage a prison break. Despite the efforts of a group of heroes who would later form the New Avengers, Owen and many other inmates were able to escape incarceration.

The manipulation of matter and energy by the molecule man has reached the subatomic level or even higher, and can easily change their own elements, reaching the level of material reorganization, mass-energy conversion, and void creation. It can decompose, reorganize, transform, and create anything from life to the universe at will. It has a strong spiritual power and can do all kinds of psychic powers.
