Chapter 459: Transcendence!

The Beyonder, whose real name is unknown, is a member of the Beyonders and an enemy of Molecule Man and Doctor Doom, as well as many other heroes and villains.

At that time, the Transcendent was the existence that transcended the realm itself, above everything in the Omnipotent Universe. The entire Omnipotent Universe was like a quark to the Transcendent Realm, and it launched Secret Wars at different times.

The Beyonder is a notorious member of the Beyonders. He is childlike and extremely powerful, and he grew up in a universe created by the other Beyonders for young people. He is unaware of the other Beyonders, and misunderstands his personal universe as all that exists.

As a child, the elder Transcendents began their great experiment by transforming Owen Reece into Molecular Man, an accident that blew a hole in the Transcendents' universe.

After observing Earth, the Beyonder launched various "Secret Wars" where he created battlefields and forced many heroes and villains to fight. Later, he transformed himself into a human form and experienced life in the Marvel Universe.

He eventually threatened to end his own existence, but accidentally allowed himself to be killed instead. His energy returned to his realm, where it evolved into a new universe. After visits from two sentient Cosmic Cubes, Kubik and the Shaper of Worlds, the Beyonder merged with the Molecule Man to form a new Cosmic Cube.

His time as the Cosmic Cube was short lived, and he eventually transformed back into the Beyonder. According to him, he was a broken child who became the Cosmic Cube in order to "fix" him, and to run fast during certain juvenile stages.

Now fully grown, he lived in the Beyonder Universe alongside his fellow Beyonders until he escaped from the House of Ideas.

When the Beyonder first appeared, the concept of OAA had not yet been fully formed, and it almost became the most powerful existence in Marvel. The Beyonder claimed at the time: Even the most powerful creature among them (probably referring to the Living Tribunal) is like a microorganism to me, so that reality (the universe) is not real to me, and I have the final say in everything!

My imagination and reality are nearly indistinguishable, everything that exists, besides me, may as well be a figment of my imagination, I completely dominate all of reality (the multiverse), and whenever I think of something else, they exist in a fashion because my thoughts equal reality.”

Jim Shute said in an interview: The Transcendent is the God before the creation of the world, another multiverse. He discovered the earth just like Leeuwenhoek discovered bacteria.

The X-Men, the Fantastic Four, a group of Avengers heroes, the lone Spider-Man at the time, and even Magneto were transported to a space station by a group of machines that suddenly appeared on Earth. In another space station, a group of villains gathered.

A voice in space said: I am the Beyonder, I come from the Beyond, you must fight each other, and I will grant any wish of the final winner. Then the Beyonder formed a planet (Gladiator) with several fragments dug from other planets.

Heroes and villains landed, and the two teams fought several times, with each winning and losing, during which many complicated grievances and conflicts occurred; in the end, Doctor Doom snatched the energy of the Beyonder and became a god-like omnipotent being.

Some villains tried to find out the origin of the Transcendent and learned that he seemed to come from another dimension, where he was the sum of all existence, and an accident brought him to this universe, where he became interested in a variety of individuals. Later comics explained that when the villain Molecule Man gained the superpower to change the structure of matter, he accidentally opened up the realm of transcendence, which aroused the interest of the Transcendent.

Destruction said that he had a ceasefire with the heroes, but still attacked them during their meeting and wiped them out; however, the heroes survived by chance, and the Beyonder took the opportunity to regain power, drove Doomsday back to Earth, and bid farewell to the heroes.

The Beyonder officially debuts but he doesn't even know how to live. He stealthily follows Spider-Man to his home and suddenly appears to ask him if hallucinations are the reason why humans need to eat. Spider-Man is startled because his spider senses couldn't detect him before.

The Beyonder then explained that his name was the Beyonder and he came from the realm of transcendence. He came to their universe without knowing their situation. Later, with the help of Reed and Spider-Man, he learned how to live. Wonder Man Luke Cage also told him that life requires money. As long as you have enough money, you can get many things you want to enjoy. Then the Beyonder turned the building into gold.

Then the Transcendent knew how to enjoy himself, so he controlled all the people on Earth to serve him, and lived a very comfortable life. The Transcendent also said that he could easily control any living and non-living matter, even basic particles, and he could control them with ease.

The Transcendent killed the Celestials in seconds and later he and the mutant BLARE he fell in love with gave her half of his power. Because the Transcendent was bored of playing on Earth, they went for a ride in outer space and met the Celestials. He then provoked the Celestials and the Celestials attacked the Transcendent but were all easily defeated by him.

Later, the Transcendent wanted to learn about the structure of the entire multiverse, so he went to ask Doctor Strange. Doctor Strange told the Transcendent that the multiverse they were in was divided into the side of life and the side of death. The side of life was represented by the Lord of Order and the Lord of Chaos, who represented the patterns and cycles of all existence, as well as Eon, the personification of all life consciousness in the universe.

The side of death is represented by Death, who has no accomplices but has Mephisto, the personification of pain and sin, as her lover, and both sides are contained in Eternity, the embodiment of everything in the universe, while outside of Eternity the Tribunal of Life judges everything.

Later, reporter Dave wanted to free humans from death, so the Transcendent and Dave decided to erase death. Then they were found by Death, and decided to use the poisonous wine made by the Transcendent to erase death. Then Mephisto and his army of demons came to stop the Transcendent.

But they were all killed instantly by the Transcendent. Then the Observer Uatu summoned the Gods of the Universe, including the Life Tribunal, to stop him, but the Gods of the Universe did not dare to deal with the Transcendent. They could only watch as the Transcendent and Dave forced Death to drink the poisoned wine and then disappeared. After that, no life in the multiverse could die.

The Molecule Man couldn't even kill a flower. He felt something was wrong, so he went to find the Transcendent. The gods of the universe made way for the Molecule Man. The Molecule Man told the Transcendent that only death can give meaning to life. What's the point if everyone can't die no matter what they do.

Dave also felt that he was crazy before and asked the Transcendent to restore death. Later, the Transcendent planned to restore death, but he had to fight against the system he established, so he could not restore death directly. He had to kill a person in exchange for death. In order to make up for his mistake, Dave became the sacrifice to restore death.
