HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 7 New Friends

After the professor left, everyone put on their earmuffs, pulled out the mandrake, and replaced it themselves, only to find that it not only screamed, but also twisted its body vigorously. Everyone's face was full of disgust.

Gloria saw that the mandrake in her hand was rather thin and long. She looked at Draco next to her and found that the mandrake he was holding was a bit fat. The playful Platinum Master mischievously put his finger into the screaming mouth, but was bitten.

The panicked young master pulled his finger out with force and threw the mandrake roughly into another basin. He turned around and saw Gloria smiling brightly. He wiped the bitten finger on her robe in annoyance.

Gloria didn't care about this and changed the pot of the mandrake carefully. The world outside was indeed very exciting.

The class was over and many students were exhausted and sweating. Draco was called away by members of the small group. Second-year students could run for Quidditch players, and they had to get familiar with the venue.

As they passed Gloria, Pansy was feeling particularly proud, but she realized that the people they hated didn't even notice what they were doing.

When Gloria put the earmuffs back in place, she turned around and saw Harry and Ron waiting for her, oh, and that smart and lovely brown-haired girl.

"Harry, Ron, how was last night? I told you that you wouldn't be expelled."

The two boys looked shy, but Hermione stared at her curiously and said, "My name is Hermione Granger. I heard from them last night that you helped me get to school smoothly on the way."

"It just happened to happen, and that car was too tired. If they didn't rest in time, they might not be able to land safely."

Gloria still remembered the violent surge of the magic car, and the three of them frowned, not knowing that the situation was so bad.

Hermione looked serious, "Then I have to thank you very much."

"If you want to thank me, you can talk to me more. Although I know something about magic, there is still a lot I don't understand, especially how to write a paper."

"Of course, but you're a Muggle?" Hermione was surprised.

Gloria smiled and shook her head, "I'm a pureblood. Before coming to Hogwarts, I had no contact with the outside world except at home."

Ron breathed a sigh of relief, "Then you don't know how evil Slytherin is. To be honest, when Hermione told us that you were sorted into Slytherin, we couldn't believe it at all."

"Many Slytherin students are indeed difficult to approach, but I think it's okay. People here have a sense of distance, and no stranger will disturb me at will. The Sorting Hat said that I have pure ambitions without any malice, which is very interesting and suitable for this college."

Compared with the group of classmates who were mostly indifferent and critical of her, Gloria preferred to talk more with Hermione and the others.

The three of them looked at her innocent smile and her pretty face with blonde hair and silver eyes, and their previous worries disappeared instantly - at least, Gloria was not as bad as the other Slytherins.

Then they talked about the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. When Hermione mentioned this class, her face was full of anticipation and admiration, which made the two boys' expressions distorted.

"Professor Lockhart, his books are wonderful. Reading his words is like going through those adventures together." Hermione turned into a fangirl when she mentioned Lockhart, "He is also so handsome."

Gloria recalled those designated textbooks, which were actually novels. The covers of all of them had Lockhart's greasy smile on their faces. His facial features were indeed good-looking, and his teeth were so white that they almost reflected light. But she didn't like the professor from the bottom of her heart. She felt that this professor was not that great, and the spells used in the books were not very sophisticated.

Harry and Ron saw that Gloria didn't like Lockhart, and they breathed a sigh of relief. They didn't want to listen to the two girls talking about the new professor.

Gloria could only say: "I'd rather know the quality of his teaching. I hope it will be interesting."

Hermione was sure of it. "It will be wonderful."

"Oh, by the way, did you find your car?" Gloria was curious about where the car went in the end.

Speaking of magic cars, Ron's hair looked so disappointed that it almost faded. "We are going to ask Hagrid to help us look for it in the Forbidden Forest. I hope Dad can investigate the problem through the unit. There will definitely be no flying cars in our house in the future."

"Hagrid is the key keeper for Hogwarts and also the gamekeeper. He looks after the magical animals in the Forbidden Forest. He's a wonderful man." Harry introduced Hagrid enthusiastically.

Gloria said, "Really? I'll meet him if I get a chance. Speaking of magical creatures, have you ever seen a goblin?"

"Gnome?" Ron didn't understand why she mentioned this creature. "Of course I've seen it. There are always gnomes in my garden. Every time I go home during the holidays, I have to spend time cleaning them up with Percy, Fred and George."

"I've seen that too. I helped clean up the goblins at Ron's house throughout August. They were very short, like old men." Harry smiled as he thought of the time he cleaned up the goblins.

Hermione said, "I've seen pictures of goblins in books. They say they often dig holes in wizards' gardens and damage plant roots, so they need to be cleaned up regularly, otherwise they can destroy the garden. Why did you mention this creature?"

Gloria's eyes lingered on Harry and Ron. She couldn't help laughing and said, "Malfoy said that when he saw you at Flourish and Blotts, you looked like goblins that had just emerged from a mud hole. I've never seen a goblin before, so I was curious and thought they were cute."

When Malfoy was mentioned, the three of them showed disgusted expressions. Harry asked worriedly: "They didn't bully you, did they?"

"No one can bully me." She learned a lot of curses in the Slytherin library.

"That's good. Anyway, Malfoy and his friends are a very annoying group of people." Ron explained to her the evil of Draco and his gang with vivid expressions.

Gloria shrugged. "He may be bad, but he's very good-looking. I quite like his face."

In fact, it’s not just about face. I can’t tell them any other reasons.

"EW——"

The three of them said in unison, looking at her with disbelief and disgust towards Malfoy.

"Are you crazy? Malfoy is good looking?!"

Ron almost vomited when he heard the word "beautiful", and Harry also looked speechless.

Hermione explained to Gloria: "We were so busy hating him that we didn't notice his face."

From Draco's ridicule of Harry and the others last night, and the conversations of the three today, it is known that the two sides have been at odds for a long time. "I know you don't like him. Do you want to go to the library together? It's just right for writing the paper for the Herbology class."

Today's paper is naturally about mandrake.

Hermione was enthusiastic and serious. She not only taught her how to write papers, but also helped her consolidate the first-grade textbook knowledge. Gloria was very smart and could remember any knowledge after it was said once.

Harry and Ron were scratching their heads while writing their papers. Ron would occasionally come to Hermione, trying to copy some content to relieve the pressure, but Hermione would always stop him with righteous words.

Gloria and Hermione finished their papers very quickly. She told Hermione some of the little spells she invented, such as casting the Slow flipping spell on books, which would automatically turn the pages. Gloria would do this when reading Slytherin's collection of books.

In addition, there is [Heavy blow]. After casting the spell, it is like punching someone. The power depends on the strength of the caster.

"You are amazing. You can invent spells at the age of twelve. I haven't learned many spells yet."

Hermione marveled at Gloria's genius.

"They are all small spells, easy to learn. The really powerful spells are very laborious to invent."

Gloria has been trying to invent spells, transitioning little by little from making life easier to becoming aggressive.

Harry had already learned to turn the pages slowly. The pages of the book on the table turned every fifteen seconds. Seeing this, the savior's emerald eyes flashed with eagerness, "I really want to try the effect of the heavy hitting spell."

Gloria glanced around and lowered her head to align with theirs. "Go back and try using a pillow. If you really want to use it on someone, remember to chant the spell softly. I only have one request, don't use it on Malfoy. You can even use it on his friends."

The three of them didn't understand why, but they still agreed, after all, Gloria taught them.
