HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 22 Both Injured

On Saturday morning, all students finished their breakfast and went to the stadium to find seats, trying to sit in the best place to watch the game.

At this moment, the Slytherin Quidditch players changed into their uniforms and prepared to go to the lounge at the stadium to make the final adjustments to their tactics.

The team members' brooms were polished to a shine, and the smooth lines attracted every student who passed by. Everyone cheered them up before leaving, hoping that they would severely damage the morale of the Gryffindor group in the first match.

Gloria had a flower braid today. The light blonde hair behind her ears was divided into three strands and twisted into a flower shape, which looked fluffy, natural and novel. She wore a light green robe with a silver sweater underneath.

The Quidditch players all looked at her. Gloria walked straight towards Draco and took him aside.

Today, Gloria looked exceptionally refined, different from her usual natural and carefree beauty. From the moment she appeared, Draco's eyes never left her.

"Draco, please be safe during the game. I must reiterate this." Gloria said, "And I am very worried that you will only focus on Harry when you go on the court."

Normally, when Draco heard Potter's name, he would stop what he was doing and make a sarcastic remark or two, and he would target anyone he saw.

"Of course I have to keep an eye on him." Draco didn't think there was anything wrong with that.

Gloria expected this, "No, you have to concentrate on finding the Snitch. Harry is not the Snitch. Is the game more important or is it more important to stare at him and laugh?"

The boy held the broom tightly with both hands, "I understand. When we get to the stadium, we will just look for the Golden Snitch."

Gloria realized that he had grown taller than at the beginning of the school year. Now she had to tilt her head upwards to look him in the eye. "I'll wait for you to finish the game safely."

The temperature today is cold and dull, and thunder can be heard faintly. It looks like there will be heavy rain during the game.

Gloria arrived at the Slytherin House viewing area. Many people were wearing school uniforms and silver and green scarves. She was wearing casual clothes but also wore a scarf.

"Here, Gloria--" The tall, strong and fat Goyle had already occupied the best position with Crabbe.

She walked to the front and center. It was almost eleven o'clock and the rumbling of thunder was endless.

When the players of both teams entered the field, cheers broke out in the circular stadium. Gloria smiled and looked at the lawn below. Draco's platinum hair was very eye-catching and he could be seen from a distance.

However, even from a distance, one could feel the surging hostility between the two teams.

Madam Hooch blew her whistle, and the two teams flew off the ground like arrows and rushed into the sky, flying near the huge metal ring.

It was Gloria's first time watching a formal Quidditch match. She was shocked by the enthusiasm of the students around her. Everyone was crazy about the players' every move.

The Slytherin team scored the first goal in the game, and the enthusiastic screams from the spectator area drowned out those from Gryffindor on the opposite side.

The two teams went back and forth, and the students forgot about the cold.

Draco was searching for the Golden Snitch in the air seriously. Seeing Harry anxious about his school's score in the competition, he wanted to get closer and mock him, but he remembered Gloria's words, held back his thoughts and continued searching.

Gloria didn't listen to what the narrator was saying at all, she was just concentrating on finding that figure.

When Slytherin was leading by 60 points, it finally rained heavily on the field, but something went wrong. For some reason, the Bludgers kept chasing Harry. Fortunately, the Beaters, the Weasley twins, protected him closely, but no matter how they hit it away, the Bludgers would always turn around and hit Harry.

"It must be Slytherin's doing!" A student from Hufflepuff next door said indignantly, "This is not the first time their house has used dishonorable means to compete!"

"You are slandering us. The ball used in the match has always been in Madam Hooch's office and no one can get close to it." The Slytherin student retorted unconvinced.

"Your academy has always had many sinister tactics—"

"Gryffindor is just not as good as us. Maybe even the Bludgers don't like Potter!"

"That's right, let's wait and see how Potter gets knocked off his broom by the Bludger!"

Since the viewing areas of the two colleges were close to each other, they simply confronted each other in the audience and didn't even bother to watch the game in the air.

Gloria tried hard to block out the noise and focused on tracking Draco.

Soon everyone no longer had to worry about whether to watch the game first or quarrel first. Madam Hooch blew the whistle to pause the game. The two teams landed on the lawn and started quarreling as soon as they put down their brooms. They all suspected that Slytherin House was behind it.

Gloria didn't know much about Quidditch, so she asked the fat Crabbe next to her, "Will the game be suspended?"

There was something wrong with the Bludger. She had watched the team train, but she had never seen the ball chasing only one person.

Crabbe explained: "It depends on which side requests to stop the game. Whoever stops the game will be disqualified and automatically lose to the other team. Our college will definitely not stop the game."

Sure enough, the argument on the lawn didn't last long and the game continued.

The situation did not improve, however, as the Bludger was still staring at Harry. He was agile enough in his movements to dodge several attacks.

Draco wiped the rain off his face. Harry had just dodged a wave of Bludger attacks. The two faced each other. Draco resisted the urge to mock Harry, but as soon as he turned his head, he saw the Golden Snitch above his left ear. He reached out and grabbed it without even turning his body.

Draco was overwhelmed with joy. He had caught the Golden Snitch so easily and defeated Harry Potter?!

Harry on the opposite side was also stunned, so that he had no reaction at all when the Bludger hit him. His arm was broken and he fell off his broom. The Bludger did not stop and hit Draco who was immersed in joy. The two of them fell off their brooms one after the other.

"Draco!" Gloria's face lost all color and she pushed away the people around her and tried to go down.

The whistle blew, Slytherin won, everyone was cheering, and she ran towards the lawn against the crowd.

When they reached the lawn, a group of people, including Professor Lockhart, surrounded Harry, and she ran towards Draco, where the Slytherin team members were beside him.

The heavy rain soaked her hair and clothes. She knelt beside Draco, the rain washed over her pale face. Gloria raised her wand and chanted a spell to stop the heavy rain. "Where does it hurt?"

The boy with a pained expression pointed to his shoulder with his uninjured hand, "You hit my shoulder."

As he spoke, he looked towards the audience, as if Mr. Malfoy was somewhere there.

Madam Hooch came, looked at the lying Draco, and said, "I'll take you to the hospital wing." She used a levitation spell to take the man to the hospital wing.

There were exclamations from Harry's circle as he left, but Gloria was in no mood to care.

Arriving at the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey covered her mouth, "Merlin, where is the injury?"

Madam Hooch pointed to her shoulder and said, "The shoulder was hit by a Bludger. It must be fractured."

Draco was put on the bed for examination. Madam Pomfrey said, "It's a bone fracture. It's not serious. Take some medicine and rest for a night. You will be able to leave tomorrow morning."

Madam Huo Qi was relieved, "I have other things to do, so have a good rest."

Madam Pomfrey went to get the medicine, and since no one else was around, several team members became excited.

"Draco you did it!"

"Slytherin is definitely the first in the house this year."

"It's nothing special for Gryffindor to beat Potter and get the Golden Snitch in the first game."

Soon Madam Pomfrey came back, "Stop disturbing the patient, everyone get out!"

The team members were driven away, but Gloria stayed because she was quiet. After seeing Draco drink the medicine, her tense heart finally relaxed.

The boy put the golden snitch he had been holding tightly into her hand and said, "I give it to you. If I hadn't kept your words in mind and focused on finding the golden snitch, I might not have won today."

The tiny golden snitch slowly spread its wings.
