HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 12: Clash on the Field

Less than two hours after Draco was selected for the Quidditch team, the official members, including the substitutes, had their Nimbus 2001 brooms delivered to the school. Such a generous gift made more Slytherin students want to make friends with Draco.

Because of different courses, Gloria and Porter went to the auditorium at different times and hadn't seen each other for almost two days.

During these meals, Draco sat next to Gloria and ate many exotic dishes. The two often had lively conversations at the table.

The little Slytherin snakes were stunned. They were incompatible for the first two days, but soon they were getting along as well as if they were in love.

In Potions class, Draco firmly grasped Gloria's wrist and asked her to go with him. The warmth of the boy's palm penetrated through her clothes and into her skin.

Soon Potter and the others came to the classroom. Hermione was shocked to see this. Gloria could actually ease her relationship with Draco.

Fortunately, they had informed each other in advance, and the three of them completed the team formation with their mouths wide open.

The old bat entered the classroom on time. When his eyes fell on Gloria, he sneered, "Very good, Miss Albert finally knows that she should brew potions with people from the same school."

Pansy and Millicent sneered at the back. Draco glanced at Gloria and handed her the wooden spoon for stirring the potion.

Gloria held it gently, turned around and gave a smile that could be described as evil to the two people who were sneering and trying to make a presence of themselves. Pantheon held her head high, while Millicent looked uneasy.

No one could keep provoking a Slytherin.

Pansy and Millicent huddled together again and whispered, and people around them guessed that they were saying bad things about Gloria.

Golinia raised her head which was curled up in her body, and slowly climbed up Gloria's body, and stuck her head out from the back of her neck. Pansy and Millicent saw that the snake's pupils were instantly confused, and there would be no magical fluctuations when it activated its abilities.

"You are a poodle-like Parkinson, what qualifications do you have to say that I look like a black bear!"

Millicent's sudden angry roar frightened all the students, and then Pansy, who was thinner than her, was pulled by her hair and slammed into the preheated crucible, causing the overturned pot to spill hot water.

Draco pulled Gloria away, "Why are they so crazy?"

Pansy, who was attacked, covered her head and screamed. Seeing her hands covered in blood, she pounced on Millicent and they pulled each other's hair.

The scene was more chaotic than the Cornish pixies.

Snape's face turned completely black and he gritted his teeth and shouted, "Stop!"

A spell separated the two men, both of them had bruises on their faces. Snape's face was uglier than the troll's. "Follow the process on the blackboard to make the potion. I'll come back to check your operation later."

After saying that, he took the two crying girls away and cleaned up the messy table before leaving. He had no intention of deducting points at all.

Draco returned to his seat, frowning and saying speechlessly, "They must be crazy, making such a scene in class."

Gloria's lips curled up into an ambiguous smile, "Maybe."

If we really look into it, it would be that Pansy's quick words angered Millicent, which led to this embarrassing fight.

When the Gryffindor students saw that Professor Snape was not there, they whispered about how Slytherin not only had snakes, but also poodles and black bears.

Gloria took the initiative to take on the task of processing potion materials, and Draco couldn't help asking questions when he saw some of her unique processing methods.

She spread out the hellebore she was going to use and demonstrated to Draco, "Slap it a few times with the back of the knife like this, and rub it with your palm for about ten seconds. The medicinal properties will be better exerted."

Similar demonstrations had been given to Hermione several times, and at this moment she looked like an assistant professor of Potions.

"You know a lot. I know another way to deal with it."

Draco is also very talented in Potions. Professor Snape is partial to him, not only because he is a student of his own college, but also because he has his own strengths.

The two of them worked together to brew a pot of perfect quality potion, which they believed would ease Snape's dark face a little.

Draco was very proud that Gloria and he worked very well together. "You should have been in a group with me a long time ago, if not..."

Gloria was putting the potion into a narrow-necked bottle. "You said you would no longer mind my friendship situation. Malfoy kept his promise."

Draco said sternly, "You have to come with me for all classes after that."

What could Gloria say? Of course she agreed.

Pansy and Millicent's fight was a disgraceful one, making the honor-conscious Slytherin embarrassed in front of Gryffindor. Even Zabini and the others didn't want to pay any attention to the two of them recently.

Becoming an official member of Slytherin Quidditch House, Draco participated in team training for the first time this Saturday.

Gloria stood in the common room, looking half asleep. Draco called her with a motivated look on his face, "Come on, Lori, let's go to the stadium after breakfast."

Seeing that she was still not in the right state, he grabbed her wrist and walked out.

Gloria felt like she was floating in the auditorium. There were very few people there at that time. Several Quidditch players nearby were holding brand new Nimbus 2001s and couldn't wait to show them off on the court.

They ate quickly. Gloria finished a piece of sweet bread and was very satisfied with the blueberry jam. Draco swallowed the last bite of fried salmon and stood up to leave with the team members.

Seeing Gloria enjoying her breakfast leisurely, he pushed her light blonde hair that fell on her shoulders back and reminded her, "Remember to go to the court after breakfast."

Gloria closed her eyes and nodded.

They left and the table became quiet. I then chose half a roasted sweet potato, which was dense and sweet.

"Where's Colin? I clearly saw him when I left the dormitory."

A questioning voice came from the Gryffindor table. The students at that table always spoke with full energy.

"I went to watch Harry and the others' Quidditch practice and didn't even have breakfast."

Gloria listened to the first years talking about Harry's little fanboy Colin.

"Don't worry, someone has left meals for them, so they won't go hungry."

Gloria didn't listen to the rest of the conversation, but... the Gryffindor Quidditch team was already on the field? Then Draco and the others -

Oh my God, given their mutual hostility, there must be a fight on the court.

Gloria didn't care about breakfast, put down the sweet potato and ran towards the stadium, hoping that the situation wouldn't be too bad.

On the field, Harry and the others who had already started training, after complaining about Colin who kept taking pictures, saw the Slytherin team in green robes coming to the field.

Captain Wood rushed to the ground in anger, staggering off his broom.

After the two captains had a quarrel, Flint took out a note signed by Professor Snape. Wood's attention was diverted and he became curious about who the new Seeker was.

Draco swaggered out from behind the team, his platinum hair even more dazzling in the early morning sun.

"Malfoy?!"

Harry couldn't believe that this annoying guy had joined the Quidditch team and became a formal seeker. He remembered that the previous seeker of Slytherin had not graduated.

"Yes."

Draco was enjoying Harry's shock, while Hermione and Ron saw their own house team confronting the Slytherins, and came over from the lawn to see what was going on.

They were similar to Harry, and they had not expected Malfoy to join the Quidditch team.

Ron saw seven shiny new brooms. As a Quidditch lover, he recognized what they were at once: "Nimbus 2001, why is there..."

So many?

Not just one handful, but one for each person.

"It was given to me by Malfoy's father. It's the latest model that came out last month." Flint said nonchalantly, lightly brushing off the non-existent dust on the top of the broom. "It's much faster than the Nimbus 2000. As for the old-fashioned sweeping series, we suggest you take it and sweep the floor as soon as possible."

The Slytherins laughed harshly. Draco glanced past Harry's broom and looked at the angry Ron. "Weasley, these are just a small expense for my father. As for your brothers' five-star sweeps, I think the broom museum would be happy to pay for them."

Flint and his gang laughed even more arrogantly.

Hermione panted heavily and sneered back: "At least the members of the Gryffindor team rely on their own strength. None of them need to pay to enter!"

Draco's smug expression darkened, and he glared at Hermione with his grey-blue eyes, many thoughts running through his mind, the most infuriating thing being that Lori had become good friends with such an idiot.

How much does a Muggle know about wizards? He has been riding a broomstick since he was a child and has played Quidditch in private, but this Mudblood in front of him knows nothing!

He didn't bother to explain to Hermione whether he paid to join the team or whether he did it on his own merit. A Mudblood like him didn't deserve it at all!

He held the new broom in his other hand, walked closer, looked down at him with a strong sense of oppression, and said in a stern tone:

"You have no right to speak here, you dirty piece of mud..."

"Draco!"

Gloria came running over, barely catching her breath.

But the people present heard what he wanted to say. Fred and George rushed over, but were blocked by the tall Flint. The other Gryffindor players were also cursing. Ron angrily pulled out his scarred and broken wand and pointed it at Draco:

"I know what you're going to say! Malfoy! Eat slugs!"

Gloria had no time to stop it. A huge explosion resounded throughout the stadium. A green light overflowed from the broken wand, rebounded and hit Ron, sending him flying.

Everyone stopped fighting and ran to his side. Gloria was already standing there in a daze. The first thought in her mind was that it was a good thing that the wand didn't hit Draco. The second thought was that the spell emitted by the wand actually hit the holder. She really should change it.

Hermione knelt on the ground and looked at Ron with worried eyes:

"Are you okay Ron, say something!"

Ron's face turned pale, and he opened his mouth but couldn't speak. He retched a few times and spat out a fat, sticky slug.
