"what!"

Morris felt pain and loosened the dagger in his hand. He yelled and took Emily back a few steps.

Holmes rushed forward, pulled the frightened Emily out of Morris's hands, and when the time was right he kicked the pistol on the ground far away.

"Holly shit! Aaaaaaaaah! It hurts!"

Morris leaned against the piles of food, grimacing and wailing.

Blood gushed out from the arm hit by the bullet, leaving streaks of blood on the broken grass.

Holmes put the two children behind him, pointed the gun at Morris again, with an unquestionable fierceness in his eyes.

Morris's shining bald head was already covered with sweat. His hands were trembling, and his shrewd eyes were full of resentment and hatred.

"Where did you commit the crime? How many people were involved in the case? If you tell me the truth, I can spare your life."

Holmes said this coldly, in a low voice.

"Haha! So that's all you want to know. Okay, I'll tell you..."

Morris was gasping for breath, his face distorted beyond recognition, but even so he did not forget to put on a sinister smile.

"I'm telling you... go to hell!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Morris suddenly pulled out a pomegranate-shaped grenade from his arms, pulled out the plug, and threw it at Holmes with a grin.

Holmes was startled and turned around hurriedly, knocked down the two children behind him, and pinned them down under him.

"Ooooooh, Uncle Sherlock, am I dead?"

Henry closed his eyes tightly and murmured in a trembling voice.

The grenade did not explode, but instead quickly produced a cloud of thick smoke, which in a moment filled the entire storage room.

"Cough cough cough..."

Holmes looked up at the smoke, then stood up and pulled the two children up.

"It was a smoke bomb. He ran away."

Holmes frowned and waved away the thick smoke that blocked his view. Morris's shadow had already disappeared in the thick fog.

Holmes led the two men to the wooden door. He touched the lock on the door and made a dissatisfied "tsk".

Then he said awkwardly: "I can pick the lock, but unfortunately I lost the wire on the way here."

Henry wiped his nose, reached into his trouser pocket with his left hand, and then put his palm in front of Holmes, revealing a long, curved wire.

"Great!"

Holmes twisted the wire into a suitable shape, fumbled with the keyhole, and in just two or three tries he managed to open the wooden door.

"Get out!"

Holmes pushed the two children outside and put the wire back into Henry's hands.

"You are so young, but you have learned a lot of stealing skills. Be careful or the police will catch you."

"I'm still learning. I haven't opened any locks yet." Henry said with a strong nasal voice.

"Alright, alright, this is an emergency. You need to wake up all the children. You can throw water on them, beat them, or scold them. You must carry them out on your back."

Holmes put the gun back on his waist, squatted down, and gave instructions to Henry and Emily.

"There are police outside. They all take orders from Uncle Sherlock. If you find someone with a gun in the bushes, they will help you. Do you understand?"

The two children nodded heavily with their bright eyes. Holmes felt relieved. He patted their heads and pushed them further away.

"Uncle Sherlock, aren't you going with us?" Emily called out to Holmes who was leaving.

"The following scene is not suitable for children. Uncle still needs to catch the criminal underground, so I'll trouble you above ground." Holmes curled his lips and disappeared in the thick smoke.

"Uncle Sherlock, when you come out, you have to teach me how to pick a lock with wire!"
