Hogwarts and the Atypical Wizard

Chapter 25 Comforting (Fooling) Roommate

I don't know if other people listened to Professor McGonagall's advice, but Sainz agreed with it.

One has to agree with it, but one still has to practice.

"Okay, that's all for today's class. The homework after class is to turn a match into a needle.

I hope you will practice harder after class, and hopefully everyone's matches will have at least some changes when we have class on Thursday."

After Professor McGonagall left, a group of people surrounded Sainz.

"How did you do it, Sainz, any secret?" Cedric asked.

"How can there be any secret? It's just practice over and over again. Practice non-stop." He couldn't say that he succeeded the first time he transformed after buying the book.

"Forget it, tell me, there must be something you haven't told us." said Cedric's roommate Joshua.

It seems that we have to make it clear, otherwise who knows what rumors will spread.

"Joshua, and all of you, how do you think my magic skills compare to the professor's?"

"Of course, how can you compare with the professor?" Frieda Welsh of Ravenclaw said disdainfully.

"Do you think Professor McGonagall is the kind of person who has a secret for studying but keeps it to herself?"

"Impossible." "No!" "How could it be!" "..."

“Since my level is far from that of the professor, the professor will not keep his secrets to himself.

So how can you think that I have a secret of learning that even the professor doesn't know?"

Everyone's expression froze and they scattered.

Before his roommates invited him to hang out, Sainz took the initiative and invited them to the library to read.

Few of the children were really willing to learn. When Ben and Adam heard this, they shook their heads like rattles and quickly said that they wanted to go to the Black Lake to see the giant squid.

After scaring off his two roommates, Sainz headed straight for the Room of Requirement on the eighth floor.

I was luckier this time and didn't encounter Peeves.

I stayed inside until nearly nine o'clock.

When I returned to the dormitory at night, I was greeted by fearful looks from my two roommates.

"what happened?"

"Oh my god, Sainz, you've learned all the lessons, and you're still studying until now, and we didn't even see you at dinner!"

"Yes, yes, you always say that you are not a Ravenclaw, but you love reading even more than they do. I saw Roger and the others by the lake this afternoon.

You know, that nasty Drizzt Benton was there too, and they were all surprised to hear that you went to the library right after class."

"Really? You want me to be as unworthy of studying in the library as they think I am?"

"Of course not." Adam's thin face suddenly turned red. "I mean, you are already so good, why don't you relax a little? Why do you put so much pressure on yourself?"

"But I don't feel any pressure. I like this feeling very much. I like learning..."

"But we are under pressure!" Ben's freckles seemed to jump up.

Aha, Sainz understood, and he said why he saw fearful looks when he came in.

It turns out that they are not afraid of him as a person, but rather the poor students have a natural fear of the top students.

It is very despairing that someone is not only better than you, but also works harder than you.

If this person happens to be your roommate, you will not only feel desperate, but also deeply guilty!

They are so outstanding and yet they still work so hard, I am such a loser!!!

Sainz gets along well with his two roommates, but he doesn't want to cause any psychological trauma to the two children.

"Looks like we need to have a good talk." He gently pulled his two roommates to sit down at the table in the middle of the dormitory.

Share the apple pie from the kitchen with them.

"First of all, I have no intention of looking down on anyone. Both of your parents are wizards.

Can you tell me what they do for a living?"

"They are all employees of the Ministry of Magic." Ben swallowed the apple pie in his mouth and took a sip of water.

Adam was more polite when eating, "My father is also an employee of the Ministry of Magic, and my mother is a shampoo saleswoman."

"Very good, how great." Sainz said, "As you know, I am an orphan and have lived in a Muggle welfare home since I was a child."

"I'm sorry, we didn't mean to..."

"It doesn't matter. I never care about this." Sainz waved his hand to interrupt the two.

"In the future, I mean, have you ever thought about what you will do, or what job you will choose, after you graduate from Hogwarts.

You see, everyone has to work, and we will have to earn money to support ourselves, right?"

The two children were obviously confused by such a question. They looked at each other and said, "I don't know. I've never thought about it. I think I'll work in the Ministry of Magic. What about you, Adam?"

"I, I don't know, I'll probably listen to my dad's ideas, or maybe go to the Ministry of Magic or somewhere else.

My dad will arrange it for me, I heard them say."

"That's the point," Sainz said sincerely. "You see, even though you've never thought about it, your way out seems to have been arranged."

The two children looked at each other and nodded hesitantly.

"So, as long as your magic skills are not too bad, your future is bright, right?"

Before they could think about this question in depth, Sainz leaned forward a little, forcing them to see his face more clearly.

"But I'm different from you. I don't have parents to help me arrange everything. I can only rely on myself. If I want to find the same job as you, I have to work harder than you.

I also want to live a happy life like you. Who doesn’t want to have fun, right?

But, I can't!

I have to study hard and make up for the eleven-year gap between me and you two...

Will you dislike me?

Are you willing to accept such a roommate with congenital deficiencies? "

The two children felt guilty after hearing his comfort.

"So it's not easy for you! Of course I won't despise you."

Ben was a little at a loss. "Say something, Adam, say something, anything."

"I didn't expect we would cause you so much stress." Adam said with a sob.

"I'm sorry, we didn't mean to do that either. We were too selfish and never thought about the fact that you didn't have a parent to think about you..."

It’s over, push it harder!

Sainz quickly tried to make amends, "It's okay, I don't mind not having parents.

I have to say, I had a pretty good time in the orphanage.

As long as you don't mind me being a nerd!"

"How could that be! We both think you're cool, but you just don't like to play with us. We thought..."

"Okay, now that we've talked it out, you don't hate me anymore, right?" One of the negotiation techniques is to change the subject.

"No, no, never!"

"In that case, let's drink to friendship..."

"Wow, where did you get so much juice?"

"Hahaha...of course it's the kitchen...I'm telling you..."
