Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy
Chapter 96 I won’t admit defeat!
When Draco shuffled to the edge of the hut, he found no one around.
I thought everyone had gathered, so I walked around the edge of the forest looking for anyone, praying that the class wasn't in the woods.
After two consecutive years of experience, she no longer wanted to enter the forbidden forest.
Fortunately, I saw a crowd of people gathered not far away. Hagrid had a biting textbook open in his hand and was explaining something.
Then he ran into the forest and kept shouting as he passed by me:
"Ah! Malfoy! Come join us. It's not nice to be late for your first class!"
Draco glared at him angrily. Slytherin students such as Pansy, Daphne, Crabbe and Goyle immediately came up to him and complained to him about the absurdity of this course.
"You must ask your father to report this to the Ministry, Miss Malfoy!"
"This place is really getting outrageous, Miss Malfoy!"
The Slytherin students' dissatisfaction was not taken seriously by the Gryffindor students, led by Harry.
But Draco really didn't have time to care about these things right now.
She just wanted to finish the course quickly and return to the dormitory to rest.
The journey from the castle to the forest had made her look pale.
Pansy and Daphne, noticing that she was unwell, dismissed the noise and took out their handkerchiefs to gently wipe her forehead.
Amidst a few screams, Hagrid returned to the students with a dozen strange-looking creatures.
"Winged beasts! They're beautiful, aren't they?" said Hagrid dreamily.
Pansy and Daphne looked horrified.
But Draco admitted that the fluff on the winged beast looked really comfortable.
It would be even better if I could stay at home and rest.
In a daze, Hagrid's reminder did not fully sink in. He only remembered that winged beasts were proud and irritable creatures.
Leaning on Pansy's shoulder, he watched Harry step forward and demonstrate how to get along with winged beasts.
I seemed to have heard that the winged beast's name was Buckbeak.
I bent down, unable to hold on any longer, and heard applause from the Gryffindor students.
"Well done, Harry! Now, you can pat his mouth."
"Next, I think he might be willing to give you a ride!"
Seeing Draco almost squatting down, Pansy and Daphne couldn't help but want to call Hagrid.
But the excited half-giant just focused on watching Buckbeak flap his wings, pick up Harry, circle in the air, and then return to where he started.
"Hagrid!"
Unexpectedly, what was heard was Hermione's somewhat anxious call.
"Some students in the class are not feeling well."
Hermione looked at Draco with worried eyes. She certainly knew what had happened to Draco.
But this instantly shifted the focus of the class from Harry and Buckbeak to Draco. Even Harry, who had just jumped off the winged beast, looked at him with concern.
"This...idiot..."
Draco grumbled softly, stood up shakily, and gently moved away from Pansy who was supporting him.
"Are...are you okay, Malfoy?"
Hagrid seemed a little at a loss as to what to do when a female student suddenly stood in front of him with a pale face.
"I'm fine, Professor."
He has a strong personality and won't allow himself to show weakness under the attention of the whole class.
He could only grit his teeth and resist the discomfort of responding. He saw Hermione frowning deeply.
"Well!"
Relieved, Hagrid continued his high spirits.
“If any students feel unwell, they can rest in the cabin at any time.”
"If everyone is okay, let's go make friends with the winged beasts!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the classmates who were encouraged by Harry rushed forward.
Daphne signaled to Draco with her eyes that he should go to the cabin to rest, but Draco shook his head and declined.
After dividing the groups one by one, Harry, who had successful experience, became a temporary assistant teacher.
At Draco's insistence, Crabbe was paired with Daphne, and Goyle was paired with Pansy.
At least if anything unexpected happens, the two big guys can provide some protection.
"What about you?"
Daphne's submissive face was uneasiness.
"If Harry Potter can do it, how can it be difficult for me?"
He forced himself to smile to reassure Daphne and stepped forward.
"Draco...be careful."
Even Pansy, who was usually lively, looked worried.
Really, can this group of people have some confidence in me?
-
In front of him was Buckbeak, who seemed to have hit it off with Harry.
Harry, who noticed that Draco was alone, seemed to want to step forward, but was stopped by Draco's eyes.
"Ah! You chose Buckbeak like Harry did? That's quite courageous of you, Malfoy."
Hagrid, noticing Draco, came closer.
What annoyed Draco was that Hagrid's words successfully drew the whole class's attention to her.
The Slytherin students were full of anticipation, while the Gryffindor students looked somewhat disapproving.
I just wanted to get through this class quietly.
"Come on, step forward. Take it easy, Malfoy. Bend down and give a proper bow."
Looking at the eyes of the classmates staring at him, he took a few steps, enduring the pain that almost made it difficult for him to stand.
She bit her lower lip, her long hair falling from her ears, and bent down.
Harry finally realized what had happened to Draco, and his steps followed involuntarily.
He had seen Draco with the same expression on Valentine's Day this year.
But this time, she seemed to be in even more pain than before. Draco endured the pain, hoping every second that he would see Buckbeak lower his head.
In order to maintain the bowing posture, the waist and back could not exert force, which aggravated the pain in the lower abdomen.
It was as if someone had taken two huge hammers and was hitting my lower abdomen and lower back with all their might at the same time.
"Good posture, Malfoy. Now be patient and wait for Buckbeak to respond."
Hagrid's annoying warnings kept echoing in my ears.
Draco endured it, tears welled up in the corners of his eyes and his body trembled slightly.
But ten seconds seemed like ten years.
There is a voice in my heart telling me to just give up.
Even if the Gryffindors would think that he had lost to Harry again and made a fool of himself, so what?
"Hold on, hold on! Don't be afraid!"
Noticing that Draco was slowly raising his trembling upper body, Hagrid anxiously reminded him.
Draco, whose heart was already troubled by the pain, suddenly lost his mind.
He screamed in pain and stomped his right foot hard on the ground.
He stood up, tears in his eyes, and turned to shout at Hagrid.
"Damn you idiot! I'm not trembling because I'm afraid of it!"
He subconsciously extended the index finger of his right hand and pointed at Buckbeak in front of him.
