Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy

Chapter 89 I can do anything for my family!

In the living room, the name of Sirius Black cast silence among the three Malfoys.

Draco remembered the name, even though he had rarely heard his parents mention it.

Draco didn't know much about the man, other than knowing that he was the black sheep of his mother's family.

Of course, I didn't understand the significance of his jailbreak, and I didn't understand why his parents seemed so worried.

Several times, his father seemed to want to explain to him, but was stopped by his mother's eyes.

"Don't worry, Draco."

"Mom is just worried about whether this criminal's escape from prison will affect the lives of her relatives."

Narcissa said, walking towards Draco and picking up her hands.

"Like tonight, his news ruined your stage."

Mother and daughter are connected by heart, and they can tell when their mother is hiding something from them without using any spells.

But she didn't want to reveal it, just like Narcissa wouldn't reveal her daughter's secret.

This was the etiquette that Narcissa had taught Draco since he was a child.

Ladies of the upper aristocracy should always reserve space for secrets between each other.

Looking at her daughter's clear eyes, Narcissa knew that her daughter understood that she had lied, and she also knew that her daughter would not delve into it for the time being.

There is infinite love and pride in the eyes of a mother.

She was only thirteen years old, but she was already an elegant and graceful lady from a wealthy family.

"Thank you for your hard work, Draco. You're doing much better than your mother did back then."

His fingers gently stroked the soft golden hair on his daughter's ears.

That's not a lie.

When Narcissa first appeared, she almost made a fool of herself because of Belladonna's teasing.

Thanks to Andromeda's presence, the mission was successfully completed.

"Come on, let's go back to the room and you can have some rest."

She looked at her husband and took her daughter back to her boudoir.

After entering the room, Draco waved his wand and instantly took off his gorgeous clothes and changed into pajamas.

After kissing Draco on the forehead and wishing goodnight to his daughter, he returned to the living room.

-

Narcissa let the living room door shut behind her, frowned, and sighed.

Lucius quickly stood up and hugged his wife who was leaning against the door.

After hugging each other in silence for a long time, the two separated and sat back down by the fireplace.

"Don't worry about him. If he wants to do something to the Black family, I will..."

"I'm not worried about Sirius."

Lucius was not surprised by Narcissa's calmness.

Smile calmly.

She had always been the calmer one of the couple.

Just hearing her say that, it seemed that his wife shared the same concerns as himself.

"During those days...did you see him? Was he also a subordinate of the Dark Lord?"

Narcissa asked hesitantly and Lucius shook his head.

"I think so too."

Another long sigh.

"He is different from the little lion Alpha. He has disliked the Dark Arts since he was a child, and he doesn't like his family's attitude towards Muggles."

"I really don't believe he would betray Potter and join the Dark Lord."

"Yes. You also remember how they bullied Severus at school, right?"

“Who would forget!”

Recall the past.

If it weren't for his husband and himself who repeatedly helped him, Severus might not have survived the first few years.

"Thank goodness Severus lost interest in Mrs. Potter shortly after you graduated."

"Otherwise, if he still looks the same as he did in the lower grades..."

"I'm really worried that Severus will do something stupid after knowing what happened to the Potter family."

"You think too little of Severus, Narcissa."

"He wouldn't make his life revolve around one woman. That would be so unlike him."

Lucius raised his glass to his lips and took a sip.

"Speaking of the Potters..."

"I always thought that among the four people, he was the most likely to betray Potter."

"If it wasn't the sickly boy, it was the slick lackey."

"It now appears that Sirius was the one who leaked the information, and his henchman was killed instead."

Narcissa hesitated for a moment and shook her head.

"Lucius, frankly I still find it hard to believe that Sirius would join the Dark Lord."

"Not to mention allowing the Dark Lord to murder his godson."

"I'm not sure. Not many Death Eaters would be willing to go that far for the Dark Lord."

Lucius agreed.

"If anything, the lackey—what was his name—is not important."

"It's also very possible that he faked his own death to frame Blake."

Hearing this, Narcissa patted the armrest of the high chair.

"Yes! As you said, you never saw Sirius around the Dark Lord during those days."

"But then again—"

Lucius took over the conversation.

"The Dark Lord has many hidden followers, and no one knows the identities of all of them except the Dark Lord."

"If Black really was a double agent, the Dark Lord would never let his identity be revealed to us."

"At least... there will always be a code name, right?"

Narcissa frowned again as Lucius whispered.

"Wormtail."

"The Dark Lord always calls that leaker Wormtail."

“It’s in terrible taste.”

Narcissa obviously disliked this pseudonym.

-

Seeing his wife despise the Dark Lord, Lucius smiled and grabbed his wife's long hair and kissed her on the lips.

"Whether Wormtail is Black or not is none of my concern."

"Or rather, I very much hope he's not Wormtail."

"If so..."

Narcissa fully understood her husband's wish, which was also what she was thinking at the moment.

"The Dark Lord's attempts to resurrect are becoming more frequent."

After saying this, he stared at Lucius quietly.

They both understood that this was why the couple was so uneasy after the news spread tonight.

"Is it really okay to no longer actively help the Dark Lord to be resurrected?"

"It doesn't matter. After all, maybe he will never come back."

"Secondly, even if he does come back to life, I can say that I have tried."

"The diary—"

Lucius placed his palm against his wife's cheek, trying to comfort her.

Thinking of his daughter's recent experience, he shuddered and continued.

"I never thought that the Dark Lord would continue to attack when he found out it was Draco..."

"No one could hurt and sacrifice my family like this."

Narcissa held Lucius's hand, closed her eyes and whispered.

"Let's just pray that the Dark Lord never comes back."

"In case things don't go as planned, we'll make plans."

Lucius nodded.

But he knew in his heart that if the Dark Lord was unfortunately reborn, in order to protect Narcissa and Draco, he would have no choice but to return to being a Death Eater.
