Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy
Chapter 25: Stay away from Potter!
Some things, once known, are hard to forget.
In the days that followed, Draco felt that he had never felt so nervous in his entire life.
On the one hand, as Daphne began to follow Hermione's footsteps in preparing for the exam, she and Pansy also began to review.
But at the same time, he was secretly observing Quirrell's every move.
He would always find an excuse to go to the corridor on the third floor to confirm that the three-headed dog, which might be called Maomao, was still howling.
This also gave me many opportunities to cross paths with Harry and his group.
Their eyes always met, and Harry seemed to be hesitant to speak.
Somehow, I vaguely felt that there was always something different in his eyes after Christmas Eve.
But Draco just glared back.
Then, Harry would always see the confusion and puzzlement in the beauty's eyes, not understanding her anger.
What made Draco angry was the new news that had recently become a concern and troubled his thoughts.
Harry and his friends were apparently secretly helping the gamekeeper and illegally breeding wild dragons.
This made Draco stay in the library more often and secretly monitor the whereabouts of the three people.
I was afraid that the three of them would do something out of control again.
There was a bit more disappointment and impatience towards Granger.
I thought that after the troll incident, there would at least be someone to control Harry Potter.
Unexpectedly, this guy just came to add to the chaos.
It turns out that children raised by Muggles are not as reliable as those from pure-blood wizard families.
But the most annoyed one was Harry.
The first semester at Hogwarts was a complete mess because of Harry Potter, which completely deviated from the perfect imagination he had since childhood.
What was unexpected was that the boy who survived actually had a way to create more trouble for himself.
I feel depressed because of this.
Of course, Daphne and Pansy tried to hint more than once that the adventures of Harry and his two companions had nothing to do with Draco.
But seeing Draco's angry expression, the two could only helplessly stop talking.
A few weeks passed like this, and soon after the owl delivered the letter at the long breakfast table,
Draco then discovered that Harry had taken a note from his snow sculpture.
Then, he hurriedly pulled Ron and Hermione up and ran out of the hall.
He sighed deeply, and once again felt angry for no reason.
He stood up, said briefly to Pansy and Daphne, "See you later!", and followed the three of them lightly.
Only after confirming from a distance that the three people had entered the wooden cabin did he set foot on the trail.
Before getting close, I could detect white smoke coming from the cabin, which was thicker than before.
I took a few steps forward cautiously and heard Hagrid's cheers, which could not even be blocked out by the closed doors and windows.
She bit her lip again, nervously holding the folding fan, and quietly moved to the window.
Through the gap in the curtains, I could see the huge body of the game keeper.
After he finally moved, he saw the backs of Harry and the other two, gathered around the fireplace.
Then, he witnessed a scene that made his face turn pale with fear.
The fire in the grate was so strong that the eggshells were cracked.
A small lizard with dark skin and wrinkled body opened its mouth and peeked out curiously.
Until it stretched out its two hands, stretched itself out and lifted the eggshell high,
Only then did Draco see its polygonal wings, which were tender and smooth, like a thin film.
Then, the young dragon yawned as if with satisfaction, and a few sparks came out of its mouth.
He couldn't help but let out a soft scream, and quickly covered his lips with his folding fan, but this had already attracted Hagrid's attention.
Their eyes met for less than a second before Draco turned away in horror and hurried back to the castle.
Feeling anxious and not knowing what to do, Hagrid didn't notice the window and fell to the ground in fright.
-
"This is really outrageous! It's very dangerous!"
"I think it would be better to tell Professor Dumbledore or Professor McGonagall..."
A few days later, I finally couldn't help but tell Pansy and Daphne about the dragon.
Their reactions and shock were no less than my own heart which was still beating wildly.
“That will get them expelled from school.”
I could only speak calmly.
It's not that I haven't thought about Daphne's suggestion, but I can easily imagine that
What kind of punishment will the strict Professor McGonagall take?
"But...ah...it can't be!"
When Daphne heard about the dismissal, a trace of pity flashed across her face.
He had only said half of his words when he suddenly realized something and patted his thigh, exchanging a glance with Pansy.
"What's wrong? What did you think of?"
Draco asked in confusion, and Pansy and Daphne answered in perfect tacit understanding.
"It seems that Weasley has been taken to the hospital ward due to serious injuries."
"Could it be... that he was bitten by a dragon...?"
When Draco heard this, his face suddenly changed and he stood up quickly.
"It's not Potter or Granger, it's Weasley. Are you going to see him?"
Pansy asked in surprise, and Draco turned around suddenly with a haughty look on his face.
"I'm going to warn him, and hopefully Granger too, not to involve Potter in such stupid stuff again."
Once they arrived at the ward, they were stopped by Madam Pomfrey.
Draco patiently made up an excuse, saying that he wanted to borrow textbooks from Weasley, to get rid of the annoying head nurse.
Seeing Ron lying on the hospital bed, looking like he had nothing to worry about, eating a lot,
Suddenly, I felt indescribable disgust towards the boy in front of me.
Having caused such a big incident, why are you still so relaxed and at ease as if it has nothing to do with you?
"Eat it while you can, Weasley."
"I don't think you'll be able to eat many snacks once you return to your parents' nest after the dragon incident is revealed."
He spoke with disdain, and watched with satisfaction as he choked with surprise and fear.
"Ma...cough cough cough...you...you come here...cough cough"
"Shut up. You are not allowed to speak."
Ron closed his mouth stupidly, and the word "coward" flashed through Draco's mind.
"I should have warned you long ago."
"Potter is stupid and stubborn, that's his problem. But he wouldn't have gone so astray if you hadn't been clinging to him."
"Give it to me, Miss. Stay away from Potter."
He spoke in a cold tone, and just as he finished speaking, he caught a glimpse of Madam Pomfrey approaching.
Ron's face flushed.
Draco couldn't be sure whether this was out of anger or simply choking on the snacks.
Not wanting to waste any more words, I glanced at Ron's bedside.
He borrowed a book on alchemy from the library, grabbed it, and left.
Walking down the staircase and before entering the Slytherin common room in the cellar, I discovered a piece of letter paper tucked into a book.
Dear Ron
How are you these days? Thank you for your letter.
I would love to take in that Norwegian Ridgeback, but getting it here is not easy.
I thought it would be best to ask my friend for help.
The point now is that neither you nor they can be caught illegally raising dragons.
Could you please take the Norwegian Ridgeback up to the tallest tower in school at midnight on Saturday?
You can expand the dough there and take the dragon away in the dark.
Please reply as soon as possible.
your
Charlie
He stared at the letter in disbelief and stamped his feet in anger.
The cellar corridor was silent, but Draco seemed to hear the malicious curses he was uttering countless times in his heart.
"These damn Weasleys."
-
On Saturday night, I was restless until late at night.
I finally accepted Daphne's suggestion and took a bath in the bathroom to rest.
The long-awaited relaxation made me forget the time in a trance.
It was almost midnight when I hurriedly combed my long hair.
After changing into a robe, she didn't have time to put on a headband, so she just randomly picked up a few hairpins, tied them on the sides of her hair, and combed her hair back to make it neat.
Hurry and leave the lounge and go up to the astronomy tower.
The nervousness gradually grew with the sound of footsteps.
He kept repeating in his mind the words he would use to scold Harry and Hermione when he saw them.
As time went by, we could finally hear the sound of slow footsteps.
As the person approached the entrance to the spiral staircase, he took a deep breath.
He put on an impatient, preaching look, folded his arms across his chest, and walked out coldly.
He spoke proudly, carrying the reputation of the Malfoy family.
"Potter, Miss—"
As soon as he said this, he gasped because he caught a glimpse of the other person's tall figure and emerald green robe out of the corner of his eye.
"Miss Malfoy?"
"Professor McGonagall...?"
Their eyes met, and Professor McGonagall was obviously a little surprised.
Then, a terrifying roar echoed throughout the elevator hall.
"You will be punished with labor service! Another twenty points will be deducted from Slytherin!"
"You're really brave to wander around in the middle of the night—"
This is the first time in my life that I have been reprimanded so harshly.
Coupled with the echo and encouragement, it was like announcing his embarrassing and precarious situation to the whole school.
I was scolded for no reason, but I had no way to defend myself.
Draco could only shiver slightly, with tears of grievance welling up in the corners of his eyes.
"Obviously...Obviously it was Potter, if he hadn't brought a dragon—"
She murmured softly with sobs, but unexpectedly Professor McGonagall heard it clearly.
"You're still talking nonsense! You can even tell such a lie?"
The harsh criticism and accusations of lying against the daughter of a wealthy family,
I could only lower my head, bite my lips, and remain silent.
The knuckles of his fingers holding the folding fan had turned white from the force.
"Come here - I'll ask Professor Snape to deal with you, Miss Malfoy!"
She followed Professor McGonagall's rage, holding back her tears and refusing to show weakness.
When turning the corner, I vaguely felt a vague presence slowly approaching me.
He just followed Professor McGonagall nonchalantly until he stepped into the cellar.
After Professor McGonagall knocked on the door urgently, the cellar door opened instantly.
"Severus!"
Without waiting for Severus's welcome, Professor McGonagall shouted angrily and told him everything about her illegal behavior.
"Really? Draco accuses Potter?"
Severus listened quietly and spoke lazily.
"Don't worry, I'll take care of it."
"On the contrary, if I were you, Minerva, I would stay in my office."
"Maybe Potter framed Draco."
Severus glanced at himself as he spoke.
"Good night, then, Minerva."
Ignoring Professor McGonagall's disapproving look, he pulled himself into the cellar.
"Good night."
After Professor McGonagall's angry farewell, the door was closed.
What followed was a silence.
After an unknown amount of time, Severus turned his back to her and spoke thoughtfully.
"I told you not to take Potter too seriously, Draco."
The tone was gentle, yet somewhat unusual.
As he turned around, Draco could almost feel Severus's anger.
Don't get angry at yourself.
"You're saying you're lying?"
"Rest here for a while, then go back to the dormitory to rest."
He paused, narrowed his dark eyes, and looked at himself.
Once again, several memories flashed through Draco's mind involuntarily.
Then, Severus spoke leisurely.
"Draco Malfoy, you risked your life trying to stop Potter's folly, and you win 20 points for Slytherin."
When he mentioned Potter, his dark eyes flashed with resentment that Draco had never seen before.
This caused a flash of fear in Draco's heart, but also aroused his curiosity.
Before he could say anything, Severus warned him again.
"Next time, you need to be more careful when operating at night."
Then, he opened the cellar door straight away, made sure that Professor McGonagall had left, left some words, and left in a hurry.
"I'm going to find Filch, and Dumbledore."
"I think, Potter, you're in real trouble."
