Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy
Chapter 22 Quidditch and Christmas Eve Part
The three did not sit on the podium with the Slytherin students to cheer for the team.
Instead, under the guidance of Draco, he sat in the neutral audience seats, deliberately choosing a front row seat that was one step lower than Professor Bigelow.
Draco was pleased to find that shortly after the three of them sat down, Severus also appeared on the podium.
He greeted Quirrell and Severus, and watched him take a seat right behind Quirrell.
The moment Severus sat down, Quirrell seemed extremely uncomfortable, but compared to his usual suspicious and nervous appearance, Draco always felt that there was a chilling shadow flashing in Quirrell's uncomfortable expression.
The competition started soon amid the cheers of the Gryffindor students.
Although Draco did not intend to focus on the game,
But I couldn't help but find that Harry was just hovering in the air throughout the game, without any movement.
He felt inexplicably angry, and the time his eyes stayed on Harry gradually increased.
Mingming, in the flying class, he was competing with me.
In the official competition, riding the fastest broom, but only such a mediocre performance,
Wouldn't this make people think that my flying skills are just so-so?
He narrowed his eyes unhappily.
Suddenly, there was a flash of golden light, and he suddenly realized the location of the Golden Snitch, right in front of him.
He quickly looked up at Harry, and when he found that he had already dived and accelerated, his heart unconsciously jumped with joy.
At least his observation skills are sharp and his actions are smart.
Until there was a loud bang.
Harry rushed to a place not far from the platform, and was suddenly knocked off his broom by Slytherin captain, Flynn.
The stadium booed loudly, and Draco exchanged glances with Pansy and Daphne.
Although some people disapproved of Folin's rude and unbecoming behavior.
However, they all believe that competitions inherently allow for victory by any means necessary.
Harry was right in front of his seat, about five meters high.
He straightened his glasses with difficulty, and glanced at himself with an almost reproachful look.
Draco raised his eyebrows and was about to look back when he suddenly felt something gently passing through his hair.
The game was suspended because of Flynn's foul. During Gryffindor's free throws, Draco noticed that Harry's Nimbus 2000 seemed to be vibrating unusually.
Blinking quietly, he could almost hear Quirrell mumbling something behind him - like reciting poetry, his tone sometimes high, sometimes low, his volume sometimes loud, sometimes soft.
Draco took a risk and turned his head slightly.
He noticed that Quirrell was just staring at Harry's broom.
She was muttering to herself, not realizing that she was observing his actions.
Looking up further, I saw Severus looking alert.
Also staring in Harry's direction, whispering something intently.
She bit her lip, remembering having seen it in her father's study. It was a difficult magic that did not require the use of a wand to cast a curse.
I decided to sit back in my original position calmly and quietly think about how to deal with it.
"Potter's broom, isn't it strange?"
"Could it have been damaged just now...?"
Pansy and Daphne also noticed something was wrong with Harry.
All eyes in the stadium gathered and exclamations rose and fell as Harry bounced on his broom.
It wasn't until the Nimbus Two Thousand suddenly swung in the air, nearly throwing Harry off the ground, that Draco made up his mind.
He turned his head suddenly and was about to stand up when he was suddenly knocked to the side by a figure with curly brown hair.
"Draco!"
"careful!"
Pansy and Daphne exclaimed in unison, catching themselves.
He stood up angrily, only to find that Quirrell had also been knocked to the ground.
Strangely, he was in no hurry to climb up from the narrow corridor.
She just held the headscarf tightly with both hands while struggling in confusion.
The stands were in chaos.
The students who were originally reluctant to sit next to Quirrell complained about being affected by Quirrell.
Then a wisp of black smoke and a pungent smell of smoke came from behind, and Severus roared.
The hem of his robes was ablaze, and he was trying to put out the flames with his wand.
Pansy and Daphne had both turned away from watching the game.
The three of them held each other's hands nervously and looked at the mess behind their seats.
There was a sudden cheer from the stadium behind, and on the court, Flynn was complaining loudly.
"He didn't even 'catch' the Snitch! He nearly swallowed it!"
It seems that Harry Potter ended the game in a magical way.
But Draco's eyes were always fixed on the culprit who caused the chaos in the stands.
Looking at the frizzy and lively figure running down the stands excitedly, I recognized the owner of the brown curly hair - it was Hermione Granger.
-
"Draco!"
"You guys go back first, I want to ask her a few questions!"
Without waiting for Madam Hooch to announce the result of the match, Draco bit his lip and followed Granger closely.
Hearing Daphne and Pansy following him down the platform, Draco turned back hurriedly to comfort them.
As I ran quickly, my mind was racing.
Granger had obviously noticed Quirrell's behavior, which was why he rushed to the platform to create trouble.
But how did she know and how much did she know?
Could it be that she also knew that Quirrell wanted to steal the secret under the secret door on the third floor?
In any case, it's worth it to catch her and ask her questions during the chaos after the game.
The audience was in no hurry to leave, and most of the Gryffindor students chose to stay on the field to celebrate.
Many Ravenclaws and Hufflepuffs who were dissatisfied with Slytherin's long-term dominance of the House Cup also stayed.
This allowed Draco to conceal his presence, but it also required her to expend a lot of energy dodging overexcited people.
He moved swiftly but before he could catch up with Granger, he found that she had already met up with Harry and Ron and was heading towards the Forbidden Forest.
Draco frowned deeply, looked around, and after making sure that no one was paying attention to his whereabouts, he gritted his teeth and slowly followed forward.
I always kept a long distance from the three people, and was glad that they did not stray from the path leading to the forest.
But he was greatly shocked to find that the three men walked comfortably into the gamekeeper's hut at the edge of the forest.
"Didn't I warn him that the gamekeeper was dangerous?"
"Granger too, what on earth is a girl thinking?"
"It turns out that Muggles just like to get along with such rude and barbaric people."
On the one hand, he was not taking it seriously, and in his heart he was cursing Potter and Granger for their rudeness and misbehavior.
With a frown on his face, he quietly approached the simple wooden house.
He walked slowly, and after nearly ten minutes, he finally reached the edge of the cabin.
But he was immediately frightened by Hagrid's angry roar.
"I'm telling you, you're totally wrong!"
The memory of being attacked by a giant monster flashed through my mind involuntarily.
He drew out his wand and looked around the snowy grassland for possible escape routes.
"I don't know why Harry's broom looked like that,"
"But Snape would never kill a student!"
("Severus?")
Draco's thoughts were brought back to Hagrid's angry words, and he couldn't help but become suspicious.
("Could it be that Granger's behavior just now indicated that she suspected Severus wanted to kill Potter?")
While thinking, Hagrid shouted again.
"Now listen to me, you three. You are so nosy!"
"It's dangerous to get involved in something that has nothing to do with you!"
Hagrid's voice was filled with anger, mixed with anxious preaching, which surprised Draco again.
Could it be that this alcoholic and violent man was disciplining these reckless and rule-breaking students?
"You'd better forget about the dog and what he was guarding."
"It was between Dumbledore and Nick Mellor—"
"Aha! So this involves a guy called Nick Mellor, right?"
Hagrid was interrupted by Harry before he could finish his words, which made Draco even more stunned.
She never thought that she would get so much information outside the game keeper's cabin.
Not even the sound of Hagrid quickly gathering up the cups was heard.
"Uh...Malfoy?"
It wasn't until the three of them pushed open the door of the cabin and Harry greeted them in surprise that he came to his senses.
He was stunned for a moment, feeling embarrassed for his eavesdropping.
His cheeks suddenly felt hot, he paused, turned around and fled back to the castle.
-
After that, every time Harry saw Draco, he would be on guard, yet hesitant to speak.
The Christmas holidays are coming soon.
Crabbe was originally laughing at the freshmen who had to stay in school.
After learning that Draco also chose to stay in school, he could only stand there with his mouth open, unable to speak.
After reluctantly saying goodbye to Pansy and Daphne on the platform of Hogsmeade Station,
Draco returned to the campus alone, went back to the empty common room, and went into the dormitory.
From the wooden cabinet on the desk, I took out the diary for writing notes.
Looking through the thoughts I wrote down on the day of the Quidditch opening match—
Key clue notes:
The thing the three-headed dog is guarding is related to Nick Mellor.
This is not the first time I have heard this name.
Nick Mellor's Notes I:
My mother once said that more than fifty years ago, there was an accident in a cemetery in Paris that almost burned down Paris.
It was Nick Mellor who brought several Aurors and used a mixture of alchemy and magic to ward off the disaster.
After my mother discussed with me whether to study abroad in Bobbaston, I looked up information about the school and investigated this famous alumnus out of curiosity.
Nick Mellor's Notes II:
Possibly the greatest alchemist who ever lived.
Born in the 15th century, he had many notable achievements.
The most praised of these is that he successfully refined the magic stone also known as the philosopher's stone.
Random thoughts:
Is the Philosopher's Stone guarded by the three-headed dog?
Why is the Philosopher's Stone in Hogwarts, and why does Quirrell want to steal the stone?
I spent the first few days of my vacation troubled by tedious problems.
Even after the Christmas dinner, he didn't notice when Harry Potter tried to approach him.
