Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy

Chapter 20: The unexpected event of Halloween

The spell he learned when he was playing with Severus as a child flashed through his mind. Just as Harry was about to be thrown straight onto the stone wall, his body suddenly flipped unnaturally and hung upside down.

Although he was half-suspended in the air with his head up, at least he was not hurt by the force of the giant monster's throw and the impact of the wall.

Immediately afterwards, there was a loud bang, and the troll fainted in the toilet, causing the ground to shake.

The four of them remained in shock until Harry and Hermione spoke at the same time.

"Is it...is it dead?"

"Can you put me down?"

Hermione and Ron glanced at Draco.

Draco then realized that he and Hermione were still holding each other tightly.

Each of them blushed in embarrassment.

After letting go, Draco stood up shakily, holding on to the wall.

He raised his wand, controlled his still violently shaking hand, and pointed it at Harry.

"The golden bell fell to the ground."

After a flash of light, Harry floated back to the ground.

He walked up to the troll and with difficulty pulled the wand out of his nose.

He spoke while retching.

"It should just be knocked unconscious."

"Ew...troll booger."

Harry wiped his wand clean and stood up.

He stared straight at Draco, with a hint of discomfort in his eyes.

Draco also pursed his lips and stared back unwillingly with a stubborn look on his face.

Harry opened his mouth slightly, but before he could say anything, he saw a sharp light coming from the toilet door and a tall and thin figure.

"Miss Granger! Miss Malfoy!"

Professor McGonagall rushed in nervously, wand raised.

Then, he looked at the fallen giant in amazement.

-

"What on earth do you think?"

The five people stared at each other for a moment before Professor McGonagall turned around and yelled at Harry and Ron.

"You're just lucky you weren't killed!"

"Why aren't you in the dormitory?"

Draco and Hermione looked at each other, both confused.

I don't understand why Professor McGonagall didn't get angry at the two of them.

"professor...?"

Hermione was the first to speak, and she was obviously a little scared when facing the furious Professor McGonagall.

Professor McGonagall just waved her hand and said.

"Ms. Granger, Miss Malfoy, I know you are... here for urgent matters."

Hermione was a little confused, but Draco vaguely guessed why Professor McGonagall was not angry.

"Professor Snape is on the way. He asked me to come."

"He said that when the news of the troll's intrusion reached them, Miss Parkinson and Miss Greengrass went to look for him at once—"

"Tell him that there are students left alone and may be in danger."

As Professor McGonagall spoke in a calmer tone, Draco felt a surge of pride.

As expected, it was Daphne and Pansy who came to help.

As she thought this, Professor McGonagall turned back to face Harry and Ron, her anger burning.

"That's the right thing to do! I'm so sorry that this is how a Slytherin behaves."

"And not you two Gryffindors!"

Professor McGonagall's curses were still echoing when two more figures walked in.

Professor Quirrell was in front, and Professor Snape was behind, looking wary for some reason.

As soon as Professor Quirrell saw the troll, he uttered a wail, held onto the wall, and slowly sat down on the broken toilet beside him.

Professor Snape still stared at him coldly.

Draco looked at Professor Snape, feeling a little uneasy because he never looked at him.

Meanwhile, Hermione had regained her footing and spoke slightly.

"Please...please listen to me, Professor McGonagall. They are here looking for me."

"Miss Granger?"

Professor McGonagall was a little surprised, and Draco also turned his head to look at Hermione.

"I came here to ambush the troll. Because I—"

Hermione paused and glanced at Draco out of the corner of her eye.

"I made a bet with Malfoy to see who could knock out the troll first."

Ignoring Draco's angry eyes and Harry Ron's open mouth, he continued to lie.

"You know, we've always added a lot of points to the academy."

“So we want to see who is the best freshman.”

"We all thought we could handle it on our own..."

Professor McGonagall raised her eyebrows and glared at Hermione and Draco.

Even Snape narrowed his eyes as he looked at the lonely genius of Gryffindor.

Hermione suddenly burst into tears.

"If they hadn't found us, we would have been dead."

"Malfoy and I's spells have been useless."

When they got there the troll was about to kill us. They didn't have time to get help—"

"Harry stuck his wand up the troll's nostril and Ron used a Levitation Charm to steer the troll's stick and knock it unconscious."

Miss Malfoy?"

Listening to Hermione's words, Professor McGonagall asked coldly.

Draco took a deep breath, rolled his eyes, and spoke in a dead tone.

"Yes. That's it."

"But it has nothing to do with Pansy and Daphne. I just asked them to keep it a secret in advance."

"Obviously they were worried, so they quickly told Professor Snape our whereabouts."

Hermione's lie had already surprised Harry and Ron.

Draco's response made Ron's wand fall from his hand with a thud.

Harry just stared at Draco, his eyes full of confusion.

"Ugh."

Professor McGonagall suddenly sighed, looked at the four people and spoke slowly.

"Good students are always a little conceited. Miss Granger, Miss Malfoy—"

"You will lose five points each from Gryffindor and Slytherin for your reckless and irresponsible behavior."

"I hope you learn your lesson."

Then, he looked at Harry and Ron.

"You are very lucky. But there are not many freshmen who can subdue adult giants."

I think you each won five points for Gryffindor."

"I will report this to Professor Dumbledore."

"Now, you all should hurry back to the academy. Everyone will enjoy the Halloween dinner at the academy."

The four of them escaped from the ladies' room with a sense of relief. Draco could still vaguely hear,

Professor McGonagall used her authority as the deputy headmistress to command Quirrell and Snape.

"Professor Quirrell, please take good care of this giant monster."

"Professor Snape, Miss Parkinson and Miss Greengrass deserve praise for their warning and courage."

"They are students of your college. Could you please give them extra points in person?"

-

As soon as he escaped from the stench of the troll, Draco endured the fact that his long hair was splashed with water and ran quickly without looking back.

The three Gryffindors followed behind in silence.

It wasn't until they reached the entrance hall and were about to go back to their respective common rooms that Hermione called out.

"Wait a minute, Malfoy."

Draco stopped but didn't look back.

"Thank you for helping us..."

Draco interrupted her before she could finish her words.

"I am just telling the truth."

He paused, as if wanting to add some explanation.

"Don't get me wrong, Granger."

"I am only a wizard of a wealthy family. I will never betray my comrades."

"Miss, I still want to compete with you."

Then, lift your feet and let your hair fly.

Just as he was about to leave, Harry called him.

"Malfoy!"

This time, Draco glanced back calmly.

The same stubborn look, full of reluctance.

"Thanks-"

Before Harry could finish thanking her, she pouted and spoke uncomfortably.

"You too, the boy covered in troll booger."

As soon as she finished speaking, her pretty figure flashed and she walked down the hall.

It was not until he returned to the entrance of the Gryffindor Common Room that Harry remembered the reason for the strange feeling in his chest.

Draco's expression when he spoke, his fair cheeks were slightly flushed. (Chat exchange group: 865172978)
