Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy

Chapter 11 Under the Sorting Hat (The Tsundere Lady is on the Move!)

The moment the door opened and closed, the noise and light from the restaurant shone through, stirring up some emotions in Draco.

Pansy, Daphne and Hannah smiled at each other, each of them with the expectation and confidence that they were determined to win.

"How exactly do they assign us to colleges...?"

"Maybe it's some kind of test."

"Fred said it would hurt real bad... I was hoping he was joking..."

While waiting, the conversation between Harry and Ron could be heard from behind, making the freshmen feel a little uneasy.

Draco just glared at Ron and Harry coldly.

"Please don't let your ignorance create unnecessary panic, Weasley." He said lightly with a slightly disdainful tone.

Ron wanted to open his mouth to fight back, but he stammered at Draco's cold tone.

Apparently, he really had no idea how the Sorting ceremony worked.

Draco smiled again and turned to Harry.

"As for you. You missed your chance to be introduced to the wizarding world by someone better, Potter."

"I just don't understand what kind of wizard family it is."

"They would even hide something as basic as the branch from their own children."

He watched with satisfaction as Harry and Ron showed their dissatisfaction but were unable to say anything back.

She pulled out her folding fan and gracefully and confidently opened the two folds with her fingertips.

"Do you regret it? P-Ah!!!"

Just when he was feeling proud of himself, he was about to give Harry the final blow.

But she was frightened by something that suddenly appeared in front of her, and she grabbed the arms of Pansy and Daphne beside her tightly.

The folding fan nearly fell to the ground, and he grabbed the handle in a panic.

Harry and Pansy couldn't help laughing at the same time, frowning stubbornly.

It was not until I saw his frightened face that I stopped the emotion that was about to explode.

Several ghosts suddenly jumped out from the wall, causing the freshmen to scream.

The ghosts were discussing something enthusiastically, and before they could listen carefully, Professor McGonagall walked out.

"The Sorting Ceremony is about to begin again. Now line up and follow me."

When the door of the restaurant opened, the freshmen were stunned by another scene.

Thousands of candles floated above four long dining tables, and the tableware on the tables was magnificent.

It should be a high roof, but it is just an endless, velvety starry sky.

The night moon is covered with mist, silver light is flowing, and the evening breeze is faintly brought.

At the end of the long dining room is a high table where teachers and leaders eat.

In front of the high table is a golden podium that is carefully carved into the shape of an eagle spreading its wings.

“It’s enchanted here so it looks like the sky outside!”

"I read this in Hogwarts: A History!"

The girl with frizzy curly hair said this, and Draco couldn't help but turn around and take a closer look at the girl.

The freshmen stopped and watched Professor McGonagall wave her wand. An antique wooden chair appeared in front of the podium.

On top of the wooden chair was a patched wizard hat. Then, the wizard hat suddenly started to sing loudly.

If you can find a hat smarter than mine, I'll eat myself alive.

The singing was hoarse and the lyrics were vulgar, causing Draco to raise an eyebrow.

Pansy covered her mouth and snickered, and Daphne couldn't help but purse her lips.

Draco looked at Harry. He looked pale like Ron beside him. It was unclear what kind of test he was thinking about.

Draco smiled again.

The song was long and the three of them were distracted, but the lyrics had already begun to praise the college.

So take me with you and I will tell you which college you should be assigned to.

You may belong to Gryffindor, where there is courage hidden deep in the heart. Their bravery, vitality and chivalry are Gryffindor's greatest weapons.

You might belong in Hufflepuff, where the people are upright and loyal, and the stamina of Hufflepuff students is honest and trustworthy and is not afraid of any hard work or hardship.

If you have a quick mind, you can enter wise old Ravenclaw, where those witty, knowledgeable and studious people will find their like-minded people.

Or you might come to Slytherin, where you can meet like-minded friends, those cunning and resourceful people who will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals.

So take me with you and don't be afraid!

You'll be safe in my hands! (Even though I don't have one)?

As soon as the Sorting Hat finished singing, Professor McGonagall opened the parchment in her hand.

Draco also quietly took half a step back and nodded gently at the pale-faced Harry.

"Got it? Just put on the hat. Would you still rather trust Weasley?"

Having said that, without waiting for Harry's response, he stepped back to Pansy and Daphne's side.

After listening to Harry's reply, he turned back angrily and glared at him again.

"Ron is my friend, Malfoy."

"Whatever you want, Potter."

Amid the whispered arguments, Professor McGonagall announced loudly.

"Whoever's name I call will come and put on the Sorting Hat, sit on the chair and wait for the Sorting."

"Hannah."

As Professor McGonagall called, Hannah jumped up lightly and waved to her friends, Draco, Pansy and Daphne beside her.

He stepped briskly forward and put on the Sorting Hat, and the restaurant suddenly became quiet.

"Hufflepuff!"

The Sorting Hat shouted loudly, and Hannah happily jumped off the edge of the wooden chair.

The Hufflepuff table also cheered loudly, excited about having a strong new student.

However, in the freshman group, seeing Hannah like this,

Draco glanced at Pansy and Daphne and found that they also looked a little pale.

"Is it true...I will really be sorted into Hufflepuff...?"

The three of them were worried about the same thing, but Draco's heart was beating fast.

In a trance, I seemed to see myself in the center of the hall, listening to the Sorting Hat loudly shouting out the word "Hufflepuff".

He bit his lower lip tightly and made up his mind in an instant.

If he really wasn't in Slytherin, he would have to leave school and return to Malfoy Manor, following his mother's previous idea and go to Beauxbatons to study abroad.

"Daphne Greengrass."

"Slytherin!"

Watching Daphne walk towards the Slytherin table with graceful and gentle steps,

While Draco and Pansy were rejoicing, Draco also became more determined to make the worst-case scenario plan of transferring to Beauxbatons.

-

The Sorting Hat's decisions are sometimes fast and sometimes slow.

There was silence for several minutes before the brown curly-haired girl named Hermione Granger called out the name "Gryffindor".

Somehow, the Weasley youngest son groaned.

After several dozen minutes, Professor McGonagall finally said in a loud voice, "Draco Malfoy."

There was a sudden silence in the hall.

At the Slytherin table, the students turned around in unison, their attention fixed on a girl sitting in front of the high table. She had long platinum hair, a face as delicate as crystal, and a childish but heroic look.

Draco took a slow, deep breath, exchanged a determined look with Pansy, and stepped forward.

He took the Sorting Hat from Professor McGonagall and saw Severus sitting up straight with an unfathomable look in his eyes.

Then, the brim of the hat covered my eyes, and in the darkness of the Sorting Hat, a soft voice was heard.

Ah, the pride that runs deep in the bloodline, the combination of Malfoy and Black.

Welcome to Hogwarts, Draco Malfoy.

(It's a pleasure to meet you, Sorting Hat.)

Draco thought to himself, but the Sorting Hat ignored him.

It's easy, but also difficult. You have wit and talent, but also courage that is unknown to others.

A long time ago, I met a descendant of the Black family who was similar to you.

He has talent no less than his brother, but he does not have his brother's outwardly wild bravery.

I separated the two brothers into two different colleges, but—

To this day, I’m still not sure if I made the right decision.

Listening to the Sorting Hat speaking words that seemed irrelevant to him, Draco waited in confusion.

Gryffindor or Slytherin?

Maybe I should change my last decision?

When Draco first heard the name Gryffindor, his heart almost sank.

(Slytherin, I just want to go to Slytherin.)

Are you sure? The last Black family member said the same thing.

That's it. But I think maybe your relationship with Gryffindor is not superficial.

So---

The Sorting Hat paused and said loudly: "Slytherin!!!"

The hat was gently lifted up, and Draco opened his eyes, looking at the room full of people returning to the bustling hall with great pride.

Although her pretty body is petite, she has a condescending and arrogant air as she sits on a high wooden chair.

I saw Daphne smiling sincerely and the Slytherin table cheering excitedly.

It seemed as if the College Cup was already a sure win.

When Draco walked down the platform, the Slytherin students, led by their prefect Farley,

He stood up, bowed and applauded, welcoming the Malfoy daughter to sit at the long table.

Draco walked to Daphne's side and held Daphne's hands tightly.

When they both sat down, they saw Pansy looking nervous and excited.

Fortunately, it didn't take long for Pansy to join the ranks of Slytherin.

-

Slytherin's morale was high because they had obtained three daughters of the twenty-eight surnames in succession.

But when Professor McGonagall said "Harry Potter", the whole audience fell silent again.

"Harry Potter?" "That Harry Potter?"

Amid the discussions, the Sorting Hat hesitated for a long time over Harry's head.

When "Gryffindor" was called out, the momentum of the long tables on both sides of the college immediately changed.

The endless noise of "We got Potter!" took away the glory of the Malfoy daughter's admission.

Even when dinner appeared out of nowhere, Draco only took a few bites of the appetizers before he couldn't eat any more.

During the entire dinner, Draco just frowned and tightly grasped the handle of his folding fan under the table.

It was almost time for dinner to end when Professor Dumbledore, the headmaster, stood up.

Now that everyone has had their fill, I have a few final words of advice for you all.

No student is allowed to enter the forest on campus, and the administrator, Mr. Filch, has asked me to remind everyone not to perform magic in the corridors during recess.

Finally, I must tell you that during this year—

If you don't want to die in pain with blood coming out of all your orifices, don't step into the corridor on the right hand side of the fourth floor of the castle.

Dumbledore's last words made the students laugh and fear at the same time.

Fortunately, the subsequent school song made the students regain their spirit for mischief.

After that, the freshmen followed the class leaders back to the common room and returned to their dormitories.

After days of traveling, the freshmen were exhausted when they returned to the dormitory.

Even Pansy, when she found out that she and Daphne Draco were assigned to different bedrooms, just complained a few times out of tiredness and went to bed obediently.

In the bedroom of the Slytherin common room, Draco and Daphne curled up in their beds after washing up.

"Don't be angry, Draco. People just think Harry Potter is famous."

Daphne said soothingly in a sleepy voice.

Draco just buried his face deep in the pillow and spoke bitterly.

"In class tomorrow, I will let him know who is the most powerful wizard in this grade."
