The two brothers looked at each other, almost unable to utter their usual jokes.
They certainly didn't really believe that their younger brother had found a boyfriend whom no one knew, and that they were sleeping together every night without anyone ever finding out.
But if we rule out this absurd possibility... the truth is even more terrifying!
"Let's go take a look!"
Fred made a decision without hesitation.
He glanced at the map again, took a deep breath, and walked toward the Gryffindor Tower.
"Wait a minute." Wade called out to them, handing them a medicine bottle: "Potion of Life and Death... We don't know how strong that guy is, so it's better to be cautious."
George took the medicine bottle, gripped it tightly, and nodded silently.
Regardless of which college's lounge it is, students from other colleges are not welcome. Wade and the others waited near the lounge entrance, monitoring the situation using the Marauder's Map.
Instead of the eagle-shaped door knocker at the entrance to the Gryffindor common room, there was a portrait of the Fat Lady.
She was quite drunk, and when Fred gave her the command, she opened the door and let the two of them in.
There were quite a few people in the lounge.
Lee Jordan greeted the Weasley twins warmly, only to find that they merely waved back, seemingly preoccupied with their own thoughts.
“What’s wrong with them?” Lee Jordan asked his friend.
"They probably have a cold?" another student casually remarked. "Look, their ears are practically smoking!"
Ron was engrossed in playing Wizard Chess with his roommate Dean and didn't notice anyone coming in.
As they climbed the stairs, alone, Fred whispered, "George, the name Peter Pedirou sounds familiar. Do you remember where you've heard it before?"
George frowned and thought for a moment, then shook his head: "I don't remember."
“That was a long time ago… I’m sure I heard it from someone,” Fred said gravely.
“Once we catch them, we’ll ask them,” George said.
The two found Ron's dorm room, and the door was unlocked; they pushed it open.
Neville was sitting on the carpet tending to his wand when he heard the door open. He looked up and froze.
"Uh...did I go to the wrong dorm?" He looked around blankly.
That's right... this is my own bed, my own dorm room...
"How about we play Battle Royale this afternoon, Neville?" Fred said casually, his eyes scanning the surroundings. "Let's call Ron... Is anyone else in your dorm?"
“They might be in the common room? Harry seems to have gone to the library…” Neville scratched his head, then belatedly asked, “Has the rain stopped?”
"It will stop this afternoon," George replied casually.
Seeing that the two brothers weren't even glancing in his direction, but instead flanking Ron's bed from either side, Neville couldn't help but remind them again, "Ron isn't in the dorm."
"Oh, let's bring his hero mouse along. Ron needs it, right?"
Fred said dismissively as he pulled back the quilt that Ron had piled up.
A dirty sock fell to the ground.
A gray, sparsely haired mouse was curled up in a small nest made of old towels at the head of the bed, sleeping.
But when George reached out to grab it, it suddenly darted away, stood on the headboard, and stared at the two of them with its tiny black eyes.
Fred quickly glanced around the bed and saw no other creatures besides the rat, not even a single extra insect.
His heart sank.
"Come on, Banban! We'll take you to the playground and help Ron get revenge."
Fred spoke in a slightly deliberate tone.
George quietly uncorked the stopper of the life-and-death water with his thumb behind his back.
Scabbed the mouse sat blankly at the head of the bed, seemingly not understanding a word they were saying. Fred suddenly pointed his wand at it—
"All petrified!"
boom!
The spell struck the wall, and Spotted the Rat leaped out first. George swiftly smashed the deadly water, but was a step too slow.
The crystal bottle shattered with a "crack," and Neville, who was about to say something, smelled a strange odor.
“Grab it!” George shouted.
The mouse darted out the door like lightning.
Neville shook his head, feeling a little dizzy. When he came to his senses, the room was empty.
The Weasley brothers sprinted down the stairs, casting spells as they ran.
But the tiny mice were much more agile than them, managing to dodge every spell and escape directly to the lounge.
Everyone stared in astonishment at the Weasley twins.
"Snapped!"
A spell struck the vase on the cabinet by the wall, shattering it into pieces.
"Fred, George! You've broken the rules!" Percy shouted angrily. "No using spells in the common room! I'm going to deduct points from your license!"
"Stop talking nonsense, grab that rat!" Fred shouted.
"A mouse?" Ron was surprised to find that the creature being chased by his two brothers was his pet, Spotty. "What happened to Spotty? Even if it chewed up your things, it's just a mouse!"
He reached out to block his brothers, but just then someone opened the door to the common room, and Banban darted through the doorway and escaped.
"Wait! Stop right there!"
The Weasleys who had turned the lounge upside down rushed out the door one after another, only to fall into a mud pit.
Vader forced the unconscious rat to drink the potion of life and death, then put it into a glass jar enchanted with a stabilizing spell. Only then did he look at the disheveled group and sigh deeply.
Harry, who had just opened the lounge door with a password, asked in confusion, "What happened?"
Chapter 146 Catching the Insect Tail
3
Before receiving Wade's message, Harry and Hermione were studying the Weather Charm in the library. It was an extremely difficult spell, and Harry started feeling dizzy and lightheaded after just a few minutes.
But Hermione was still studying diligently, so Harry had no choice but to force himself to continue reading those difficult sentences.
He found that after reading just two sentences, the words would quickly disappear from his mind, forcing him to go back and read them again...
More than half an hour had passed, and Hermione had already filled several pages of notes, while Harry was still stuck on the first page.
The news of Wade was like a lifeline to him. Harry jumped up eagerly, packed his things, and rushed over.
Hermione was a step too slow; she returned the book before rushing over.
When they arrived at the entrance to the Gryffindor common room, they saw Wade leaning against the wall, staring at a folded piece of parchment, seemingly looking at something.
“Wade, you said you had something important to tell me?” Harry asked.
"Well, wait..."
Vader looked up and gestured for him to be quiet. He stared at the parchment for a while, then suddenly pointed his wand forward, and a huge, sticky mud pit appeared in the corridor.
"You brat! What are you doing? Get them out of here!"
The fat lady screamed.
"Wade, what are you doing?" Hermione screamed, covering her face. "Professor McGonagall will deduct points from your score!"
“Don’t worry, I’ll cancel it in a bit,” Wade said. “Harry, tell me the password to open the door.”
Harry was puzzled. He hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided to trust his friend.
Even if someone steps into the mud, a cleansing spell will solve the problem.
Was Wade trying to play a prank on someone? I have to say, he takes his pranks way too seriously…
Harry's mind raced with all sorts of thoughts as he stood beside the mud puddle and said to the fat lady, "Salamander."
"Make him get rid of those monstrous things! Get rid of them!" the fat woman was still screaming.
“I gave you the password, Fat Lady! You need to open the door,” Harry said, emphasizing his words.
The portrait was opened, and the plump lady tried to hide at the edge of the painting, as if afraid that the mud would get on her.
The next second, an indistinct shadow darted out of the door and landed directly in the mud pit, where it struggled and made squeaking noises.
“Scabbers?” Harry said in surprise.
He was just about to fish Ron out of the rat when he heard the person next to him chant several spells in succession—
"Petrify them all! Make them collapse unconscious! Immediately imprison them!"
The rat, struck repeatedly by the spells, lay frozen unconscious, several ropes still binding its body. Just as Vader used a levitation spell to free it, several more people rushed out of the lounge—
Fred, George, Percy, and Ron.
Hermione's eyes widened, unable to comprehend how these people had managed to squeeze through the doorway in such a short time.
