When I first decided to write about gym leaders, I was thinking about whether I should follow the typical approach of a gym leader and catch a large number of Pokémon in tiers.

But I think writing it this way is actually quite boring, because with so many Pokémon, catching them becomes just a recounting of events, and there's no way to talk about any bonds between them. It would be good enough if they just get to show up in the future.

Furthermore, the protagonist himself is somewhat of a novice at training Pokémon; even if he were given six main Pokémon right now, he wouldn't be able to train them all. Therefore, the final idea was to combine Elite training with a rental system.
My idea is to rent some Pokémon that are relatively weak but have unique characteristics. This will not affect the main characters' lineup and will allow us to showcase more tactics that can be used in reality. The rented Pokémon will most likely only appear once or twice as rotation tests for the Sunny Gym.
