In 1924, the thirteenth year of the Republic of China, Chen Zijun, who had finally won the Jiangzhe War after a year of traversing the Yangtze River Delta, returned to Shanghai and began to examine this land, as well as to formally prepare for the upcoming decade-long War of Resistance against Japan.
He hoped that on the first day of the Battle of Shanghai, when the combined fleet and army divisions of the Japanese devils arrived in Shanghai, they would be faced with 356mm fortified coastal defense guns, more than a dozen towering Songhu air defense towers, and three to four hundred thousand fully equipped German-trained divisions...
