Chapter 91 Spider-Man VS Mr. Omen (Part 1)

The ominous sign was punched into the elevator shaft by the unseen Spider-Man. Peter only recovered after making the punch almost subconsciously, and deactivated his invisibility. Tiny lightning still flickered on his body.

He walked to the pile of rubble, moved aside the fallen ceiling, and reached out his hand to Cindy: "Are you alright, Cindy?"

Cindy shook her head, looking at Peter, who was still faintly glowing in the darkness because of the tiny lightning bolts still surrounding him: "I'm fine, and, well, my clothes."

"Oh, uh..."

Peter's current attire is quite unusual. To facilitate genetic modification, he has taken off his suit but not his headgear, so he now looks like a freak wearing only his underwear and a Spider-Man headgear.

"Sorry." After helping Cindy up, Peter immediately switched to invisibility mode. Cindy then saw the Spider-Man suit lying to the side float up and disappear. When Peter reappeared, he was already fully dressed in the suit. He pressed the Spider-Man symbol on his chest, attaching the suit to himself, and nodded somewhat awkwardly to the two girls.

Qianhuan didn't feel shy at all. She smiled and looked at Peter, saying, "Nice figure."

Peter had no choice but to pretend he hadn't heard and helped Hank, who had fallen to the ground and turned into a normal person, to his feet. His yellow and blue armor was now clearly ill-fitting.

"Are you alright, Hank?"

"I'm alright... I've heard of Leech; his abilities aren't permanent." Hank was helped to a chair and sat down. He looked at the elevator shaft and then at Peter: "You and Spider Silk are the only ones who can fight the Ominous Sign. Be careful."

“Don’t worry, I have plenty of energy to beat people up right now.” Peter smiled and said as he rushed towards the elevator shaft, “I’ll take the ominous sign out right away, and then Cindy, you take the two of them up.”

He jumped down into the pitch-black, bottomless elevator shaft, feeling better than ever before. His five senses were enhanced; even in freefall, his senses could detect subtle changes in the airflow. His spider-sense had never been so sharp; previously, it could only detect danger, but now it could provide immediate feedback based on the distance of the other party.

Peter reached his hands down, and white electricity flickered from his hands, illuminating the bottomless elevator shaft and the astonished face of Mr. Ominous who rushed up.

Without missing a beat, he landed behind the other man, releasing static electricity from his hands to enhance the adhesion. Spider-Man crouched on Mr. Sin's back, piloting the supervillain straight into the sky. Sensing this, Mr. Sin flew upwards, attempting to brace his back against the elevator shaft wall, but Peter had already sensed his movement and fired webs upwards, sticking to the wall.

“You know what? The last time I did something like that was at an amusement park, riding a drop tower.” Spider-Man whispered in Mr. Ominous’s ear, “I absolutely love drop towers, you know how they’re played? Like this!”

Before Mr. Ominous could even lean back, Spider-Man pulled on the web that had already been launched, slamming his face against the elevator shaft wall. Mr. Ominous flew upwards while Spider-Man rubbed his face against the wall, rubbing him all the way to the elevator shaft exit.

Lying on the ground, barely alive, Cyclops, with his rare eyes that don't produce lasers, saw a white bolt of lightning break through the bunker. What did he see? Spider-Man riding Mr. Ominous soaring into the sky.

"I must be hallucinating from the ominous sign." Cyclops sighed helplessly, glancing at the original Human Torch standing guard to the side. But the two, soaring into the sky, weren't about to give up. Mr. Ominous finally reached a wide-open space, only to discover with despair that no matter how fast he accelerated, he couldn't shake off this damned bug. In desperation, Mr. Ominous summoned a hundred-ton truck in mid-air using telekinesis. The massive heavy truck crashed down on him; after all, he had the healing factor and wouldn't be crushed to death.

Spider-Man leaped up and separated from him. The massive truck passed between the two men, and Mr. Ominous rose further, intending to use the fact that his opponent couldn't fly to gain a height advantage. But when he turned around, he saw Spider-Man accelerating towards him, his arms outstretched, using momentum and the webs under his armpits to provide a brief period of high-altitude flight. Spider-Man successfully grabbed Mr. Ominous's shoulder.

"Hello, is this an ominous sign?"

A giant white sphere of light appeared in the sky, followed by a deafening explosion. Spider-Man spread his webs and landed safely beside the bunker.

The physically blasted Mr. Ominous was almost in freefall, but he managed to control himself in time with his telekinesis and landed steadily in front of Spider-Man.

He looked at the ungrateful fellow in front of him and put his hand to his temple.

"Enough! I've had enough of you, you bug! I'm going to shut down your brain! So you'll never be able to chatter away again!"

The ominous roared, and his consciousness began to invade Spider-Man's consciousness. Without any hindrance, he had already seen the other's consciousness.

Cyclops, who was lying on the ground, raised his head. His goggles had fallen to the ground. He stared intently at Mr. Ominous, hoping that the beam would shoot out from his eyes.

At that moment, an unfamiliar voice rang in Laser Eyes' mind.

Don't worry about Spider-Man, Scott.

Emma?

The ominous sign won't work. My abilities haven't fully recovered, but I can induce you to unleash one power. You need to deal with another place.

Unaffected by the White Queen, Mr. Ominous was unaware that she had regained some of her power and instead directly entered Spider-Man's mind, his consciousness infiltrating within.

He... cannot see thought.

He only saw a giant web, with different images flashing in each grid, and different Spider-Men appearing in different grids. He did not connect to the brain of the Spider-Man in front of him, or rather, he stepped into Spider-Man's trap.

Because when his thoughts were projected onto Spider-Man's, he saw not only the giant web, but also a gigantic spider, a colossal spider exceeding a hundred meters in length, walking on the web of fate, spraying silk. It spotted Mr. Ominous and looked at him.

The enormous spider appeared directly in front of the ominous spirit, raised one of its legs, and then used its sharp, knife-like hairs to pierce the ominous spirit's heart.
