Chapter 768 Which film set is this?

Earth-86445, in the past.

"I'm not entirely sure if this is true or not, but... I have a feeling that the origin of Spider-Man in this universe has nothing to do with magic?"

Jessica Drew and Spider-Man Miguel from 2099 stood together on the roof of Midtown High School. In a few tens of minutes, the place would be destroyed, and Jessica could take the opportunity to ask about the origins of this Spider-Man universe.

"It depends on your perspective, Spider-Woman. If you think the Spider-Man in this universe still has powers from that mutated spider, then yes, it has nothing to do with magic. But the problem is that the spider is part of a time loop, and the time loop is essentially created by Strange—the origin of the Spider-Man in this universe is a time loop created by magic, which is Peter Parker's perspective in your world."

"And what about you? Which one do you think is right?"

Miguel offered no comment: "I'm just waiting to see if our enemy shows up, and then I'll be able to tell who's right."

The two of them waited, and Jessica, as was her habit, began browsing the information about Midtown High School in this world. Strangely enough, this universe's S.H.I.E.L.D. was destroyed in 2014 due to a Hydra invasion, but her system was still able to function normally and access the school's database.

"It's like I don't exist in this universe... At least I don't exist in Midtown High School, nor in Gwen... I feel like this universe is missing limbs, missing a lot of people."

“That’s normal. Some universes just don’t have many people. We’ve even encountered universes with only Daredevil and the Punisher as heroes. There are no superpowered people in those worlds at all.” Miguel said as he crouched down, trying to avoid being noticed, and whispered a reminder: “Our target has arrived.”

Jessica and Miguel crouched down quietly, watching this universe's Peter Parker approach from afar. This universe's timeline was currently 2016, but this Peter was only 15 years old, about three years younger than theirs. He hadn't yet gained his spider powers and was even nearsighted, wearing glasses, walking alone towards school.

"Am I just imagining things? I feel like he's shorter around this time?"

“He’s a year younger than your Peter Parker, and he’s hunched over, but they’re about the same age,” Miguel said, scanning the others around him to see if the mastermind had arrived.

As for Jessica, she was still there publishing her sharp commentary.

"He was wearing glasses at that time... I think he looked quite cute with glasses on, don't you think?"

"Well... he won't wear glasses anymore once he gets bitten by a spider today, he's here."

A golden portal appeared in mid-air, and then the symbiote monster and Strange rushed out together. The two then began to fight, and it wouldn't be long before Midtown Middle School was destroyed.

Jessica glanced at the battlefield, then hesitated before asking, "Don't we need to go help?"

"We can't help them, we can't disrupt the stability of the timeline and create more divergent universes. What we need to keep an eye on are the enemies of the Spider Totem. If you feel guilty, I can tell you that, according to the data, this only caused economic losses, with zero casualties."

"Oh, uh, okay..."

Jessica nodded, muttered something, and then stared at the portal. She and Miguel saw a spider falling out of the portal, and something was happening on the other side.

Meanwhile, they looked to the other side, and after a few seconds, Miguel, unsure whether there were any enemies, asked Jessica, "Did your spider-sense react?" "I didn't have my spider-sense."

"You don't have spider sense?!" Miguel almost shouted, then looked at Jessica in disbelief: "The other three spider totems on Earth 616 all have spider sense! You don't have spider sense?"

"Yeah...it's probably because the spiders aren't the same one. Wait, don't you have spider sense either?"

Jessica's question silenced Miguel; he truly didn't have any spider-sense. There were so many spider totems in the Spider League, and so many in the multiverse.

Unfortunately, neither of the two people who came here to do the mission had spider sense.

Miguel sighed helplessly, while Jessica noticed something: "Wait a minute, someone's getting close to Peter Parker!"

A man in a suit ran up to Peter Parker, who was standing there in a daze. Just as he was about to yell "Watch out!" and pounce on him, Miguel kicked him away. Before Peter Parker in this universe could react, the spider web snapped, and the spider landed on his neck and bit him hard, making him scream in surprise.

Meanwhile, Miguel sensed something was wrong. If a normal human were kicked away by him, they would either faint on the spot or be unable to move. But this person in front of him just rolled over and then quickly stood up, making Miguel realize that the person in front of him was a superhuman.

"As expected... Just who are you?"

"It's a spider totem, even faster than Mother imagined..." the other person muttered to himself, then turned and ran. Miguel quickly followed, but after turning a corner, he only saw Jessica running to the other side to intercept him.

Miguel asked hastily, "Where is that guy?"

"I don't know, I didn't see him."

"..."

Miguel frowned, then realized something and activated his watch to scan: "There are signs of spatial distortion. Our enemy has interdimensional teleportation capabilities, which is not surprising at all. They must have already run far away."

"Then what should we do? Scan it and chase after them?"

Miguel had intended to say that, but then he glanced at the sky, where Strange from this universe was pulling the symbiote monster back, and a thought struck him: "No, we'll take a shortcut, hurry up and catch up!"

In this universe, Strange had just returned to the future and hadn't even had time to close the door when he saw two Spider-Men jump in through the portal. Before he could figure out what was going on, the door to the laboratory they were in was kicked open again, and a dozen or so men in suits rushed in. Then, their skin all cracked open, turning them into some kind of insect-like monsters.

The two Peter Parkers present exclaimed almost simultaneously: "Kamen Rider?"
