Chapter 767 Your Friendly Neighbor Spider-Man

"A Spider-Man with a magical origin..."

Even Miguel was confused by this question. His first thought was Spider-Man Noir, but after hearing Peter talk about Strange, he realized that Peter was mainly talking about "Strange and Spider-Man with related origins." He was then surprised to find that there was actually no related news at all.

He really did know of such a universe, which was the universe of the animated series “Your Friendly Neighbor Spider-Man”. The reason Peter Parker became Spider-Man in that series was because of the time loop that Strange started.

The problem is, he doesn't know the number of this universe, but he remembers some details.

"I have a few keywords from my dream that might help you. They are something like... the destroyed Midtown High School, and Strange was present during that battle."

Miguel's supercomputer isn't a god; it can't cover all universes. All it does is collect information from the universes that the Spider Alliance investigators have passed through and gathered information from.

Not every Spider-Man can be invited to join the Spider-League. To prevent inexperienced Spider-Men from knowing things in advance and missing out on growth, and to guard against the possibility of web-related incidents, Miguel is quite cautious about other Spider-Men joining the League.

One of the known triggering conditions for the Spider-Man event is that "a Spider-Man from another universe dominates the Spider-Man event in this universe." In other words, a Spider-Man from another universe takes the place of the Spider-Man from this universe in the event, thus triggering a chain reaction. The rookie Spider-Man is the one who is most likely to confuse the line between "helping" and "intervening."

Of course, the patriarch is an exception. He beat up the symbiote Spider-Man in the Shadow Web universe and then removed the symbiote, and nothing happened. The Web of Fate treats all Spider-Men equally, but some are always more equal.

This origin story contains elements of chance, magic, and causal cycles, but it also incorporates technological elements. Miguel isn't entirely sure if this universe meets the requirements, but they'll soon find out.

"If someone intends to prevent all of this from happening, they can choose to act from two angles at the same time: one is to prevent Peter Parker in this universe from being bitten in the past, and the other is to go to the future to prevent Strange from opening the portal."

As Miguel spoke, he looked at Peter and the others: "In other words, if the four of you are planning to investigate without seeking help from more people, then you'll have to split into two groups."

Peter thought for a moment, then shook his head. He didn't need that many people; the more people there were, the more likely it was to trigger the Spider Web event.
