Chapter 74 Return 616
On Earth 700, New York City experienced an unprecedented blackout, with almost all of the city's electricity being drained by Kingpin until it was stopped by blond Peter. He notified the NYPD, and the entire Sinister Six of this universe were subsequently arrested.

"Alchemy Inc.'s stock will definitely plummet as a result. Hopefully, Willie will learn a lesson."

Standing atop a distant building, blond Peter was filled with emotion. He smiled as he looked at his two companions from another reality and couldn't help but hug them, making the two of them feel awkward and want to leave.

“I have to go. I have new calculations regarding the web event. One conclusion I’ve reached is that the existence of other realities cannot replace the counterpart in this universe. We can help you, but we cannot replace you… However, there are still some theoretical issues.”

As Miguel spoke, he set up a path back to Earth 928, while also bringing up the topic of forming a Spider Alliance that blond Peter had mentioned earlier.

“We could form a Spider Alliance, and I could modify the bracelet's program and mass-produce it, but the problem is, if we need a base, then we need a safe universe where we can be in control.”

Miguel shrugged; he hadn't yet found a universe he could use as a base. Both Peter and blond Peter shrugged in response.

"Could you give me a bracelet when the time comes? I'm having trouble traveling right now, and I get lost easily."

“It’s a little difficult.” Miguel didn’t completely object or reject Peter’s request: “You come from universe 616, where the reality barrier is the thickest and it’s the center of the entire multiverse model. I’m not sure if I can get through it smoothly.”

Peter Benjamin Parker crashed for a full three seconds.

"Wait... what did you say my cosmological designation is?"

"616, what's wrong?"

Miguel adjusted the data on his bracelet as he spoke. Since he had a more convenient time-travel bracelet, Miguel was responsible for sending the spider from Universe 42 back. He noticed Peter's absent-mindedness and couldn't help but ask curiously.

Peter, somewhat embarrassed, said, "It's nothing."

What is 616? It's Marvel's main universe! Whether it was Sony's attempt to recreate a 616 and 1610 universe in "Into the Spider-Verse," or the MCU's attempt to use Loki to open up a completely new multiverse, both were rejected by Marvel Comics.

All universes in the former are marked with a "B", the middle-aged Spider-Man comes from universe 616B, while the protagonist Miles' universe becomes 1610B. The MCU, however, was refuted by a TVA comic book as being based on another multiverse, Earth 616.

So Peter was quite surprised to hear that, but then he realized that he wasn't just in the Marvel Universe, but in a completely new Marvel Multiverse. And he was Spider-Man of the main universe of this new multiverse.

He didn't even know if this counted as good news.

Miguel didn't say much, but simply left with the Spider-Man from Universe 42. He would take the Spider-Man to Miles in that universe. Universe 42 would then have its own Spider-Man.

Peter, too, had to go back. After saying goodbye to blond Peter, he tore open a spatial rift and left.

Watching the two Spider-Men leave their universe in different ways, the blond man scratched the back of his head.

"Sometimes I really wish I could be this cool..."

Peter, having re-entered the multiverse, finally understood what Mrs. Spider meant. He could sense a very distinct being, similar to himself, walking on a giant spider web, each grid representing a universe. He hadn't felt it so strongly the last time, but this time, he seemed to truly understand that his own universe was located very far in the inner part of the universe.

But it doesn't seem to be the center of the entire spiderweb structure either. Miguel claims his 616 universe is the center of the multiverse, but it's unclear from what perspective he's referring to that. He clearly found the grid that resonated with him and then plunged into it.

On the other side, Mr. Fantastic Reed, who had been waiting for seven hours, saw the dramatic energy changes occurring in the multiverse shuttle. With anticipation, he saw a spatial rift being torn open and smiled. Then Peter emerged and took off his mask.

"Welcome back, Spider-Man. You were gone for seven hours... but according to the information on your bracelet, you spent seven days in another universe. So there are indeed differences in the flow of time between different multiverses, or perhaps traveling through the multiverse itself causes a time distortion..."

Seven hours? That's great! I won't miss a single class. That's wonderful news.

Peter looked around. The three scientists from the Avengers had all disappeared, apparently having left first. He looked at Cindy, who was sitting quietly reading a book beside him.

"Thank you for your hard work."

“…?” Cindy looked at Peter strangely. After all, she hadn’t done anything, so she didn’t know why she was being called hardworking.

“Spider-Man, if possible, perhaps we could do some more detailed checks…”

Reed Richards turned his head excitedly, and Peter sighed, "No problem, Professor Richards. Can you hurry up? I'm feeling quite tired."

After another three hours, Peter, having finished his examination, went home first. Meanwhile, an extremely excited Reed Richards was still talking.

"This is amazing. If I could use this data, I might be able to send signals into the multiverse... Oh, they're gone."

He glanced at the empty laboratory, shrugged, then entered the data into the computer and began transmitting information throughout the multiverse. If someone could receive and understand it, then perhaps communication between the multiverses could be established.

Unexpectedly, within seconds of sending his message, someone received it and sent the same signal, and the other person introduced themselves in a friendly manner.

That's Mr. Wonder, Reed Richards, from another Earth.

"As expected, I knew it. Every version of myself in every multiverse yearns for communication with one another!"
-
It all started with a bolt of lightning from the rolling dark clouds.

Reed Richards of Earth 2149 ended the communication. He turned his head, and the head had become rotten. For some reason, the lips had disappeared, revealing sharp teeth. Only the whites of the eyes remained.

He stood beside the multiverse traveler that Earth was destined to never complete, turned off the communication device, and looked at his family with a smile. The other members of the Fantastic Four also reeked of a terrible stench of rotting corpses.

"While others were still trying to find a pitiful bit of raw meat in every nook and cranny, they had no idea what we had discovered."

Zombie Reed licked his lips. When communicating with his counterpart in Universe 616, he could always smell the non-existent aroma of fresh meat.

"A planet teeming with fresh faces, a planet that belongs only to us!"

Outside the crumbling Baxter Building, New York City descended into chaos. The superheroes once revered were now scattered through the streets, searching for anything living they could find, devouring every morsel of flesh they could.
The overwhelming stench of blood seemed to have engulfed the world itself, and the ever-present crimson sunset shrouded New York City, signifying that this earth had become a pure hell on earth.
