Chapter 107 Black-Scaled Giant Python
Wu Xiaoxie clung precariously to the wooden planks of the walkway, breaking several of his fingernails. His arms were gradually losing strength, and he was about to give way.

Suddenly, with a crack, the plank road finally gave way and gloriously broke apart. Wu Xiaoxie's five fingers curled up in vain as he fell down the broken section into the next plank road.

The wooden planks underneath, after being damaged several times, could no longer withstand such an impact. Like dominoes, they all collapsed one after another. Wu Xiaoxie fell down amidst the broken planks and stones, crashing through the last layer of the plank road and finally landing on the platform below.

The fall was brutal; it felt as if his internal organs had shifted. A metallic taste rose in his throat, and the tightness in his chest made him feel like taking another breath was a form of slow suicide.

As his consciousness faded, Wu Xiaoxie felt that he was really going to die here this time.

With a loud bang, like a thunderclap, followed by deafening screams.

A huge tentacle slammed into the stone wall not far from Wu Xiaoxie, shaking the ground three times. Hot, foul-smelling blood drenched Wu Xiaoxie.

Wu Xiaoxie jolted awake from the burn, regaining some consciousness. Struggling to open his eyelids, his bloodshot eyes revealed a massive black shadow, even larger than the hellish octopus, battling the menacing octopus.

Even with its enormous body, the second one was still unusually agile. Its sharp teeth bit into the opponent's sturdy, steel-armor-like black scales, leaving not even a mark. Sparks flew everywhere. The hell octopus was forced to retreat under its attack, powerless to fight back. Soon, only two of its eight tentacles remained.

This was a completely overwhelming battle, with a huge disparity in fighting strength between the two sides, and the Octopus lost without any doubt.

Wu Xiaoxie was dumbfounded, so shocked that he didn't even care about the pain in his body. He stared blankly at the black one-eyed giant python that looked like an ancient ferocious beast, biting all of the octopus's tentacles into several pieces.

If it weren't for the octopus's agonizing screams echoing in his ears, Wu Xiaoxie would have truly believed that everything happening before his eyes was a hallucination of his dying moments. The battle above was drawing to a close. In a cave on a rock wall, unknown to anyone, a vine as thick as a wrist silently crawled out, slowly making its way to Wu Xiaoxie's nose. A faint fragrance lingered at the tip of his nose, and Wu Xiaoxie's eyelids slowly grew heavy. In a daze, he felt something quietly wrap around his ankle, and then it slowly began to move.

Strangely, he didn't feel the usual fear of the unknown; instead, he felt a little smug, thinking that he, the Third Master, had seen his share of big events.

The black-scaled python tore the octopus's body into pieces, then flicked its tail, sweeping all the pieces into the abyss between the bronze tree and the stone wall. It clicked its tongue in disgust, flicked its tongue, and climbed up the bronze tree trunk for more than ten meters before bringing its large head close to a cave.

A light footstep echoed from the cave, and a white-robed figure wearing a white cloak with dark gold patterns appeared at the cave entrance. This person was tall and slender, and not short, but looked too thin. The frail body appeared somewhat fragile under the wide robe.

Zhang Wuxun coughed a few times in a muffled voice, raised his hand to adjust the mask on his face, and sighed softly.

The black-scaled python, which had been so murderous just moments before, appeared unusually docile in front of Zhang Wuxun.

"Thanks."

Zhang Wuxun reached out and touched the tip of the giant snake's snout. The snake flicked its tongue and hissed twice in pleasure, then wrapped its tongue around Zhang Wuxun and carefully placed it on its head. With a flick of its tail, it swam along the broken altar and coffin well of the bronze tree and into the interior of the bronze tree.
