Chapter 609 The Hands-Off Manager
Chapter 609 The Hands-Off Manager (Two Chapters Combined)
"Sirius is here?"
After leaving the Room of Requirement, Tyra took a step forward as if walking normally, and the next second, Tyra appeared directly in Dumbledore's office, as if the space outside the Room of Requirement and the space inside Dumbledore's office had been connected, allowing Tyra to step from outside the Room of Requirement into Dumbledore's office in one step.
"Your mastery of spatial magic is becoming increasingly profound," Dumbledore said lazily, sipping his red tea.
“In the process of helping Professor Horace Slughorn refine the Philosopher's Stone, my calculation skills were also honed to some extent, deepening my understanding of the concept of space,” Tiera said, nodding slightly.
“Very good,” Dumbledore said kindly and gently. “Your spirit of self-learning is commendable. I see the future and hope of the wizarding world in you.”
“You flatter me.” Tyrell smiled and nodded, then asked directly, “Sirius has come to Hogwarts?”
“Yes, I sent him,” Dumbledore said with a smile. “He did send me a letter before, in which he complained a lot, not just about your Defense Against the Dark Arts class, but to be precise, about every aspect of you. He has quite a lot of prejudice against you.”
“That’s normal,” Tiera shrugged. “If he didn’t have prejudices, he wouldn’t be Bigfoot. Seriously, I think that apart from Lupin, the other three members of the Raiders quartet all have some personality issues.”
Dumbledore silently took another sip of his tea, then nodded in agreement.
“To be precise, at least most of the wizards I know have somewhat extreme personalities,” Tierra said.
"According to your current conjecture, this is the result of the influence of the spiritual dimension," Dumbledore said nonchalantly. "Of course, I still have reservations about this."
“This theory is still just a conjecture,” Tiera said with a smile. “It wouldn’t be difficult to prove if we designed a few simple social experiments. Of course, you certainly wouldn’t agree to such social experiments.”
Dumbledore nodded silently.
"So what's Sirius here for today? To interrogate you? To complain that I've corrupted his precious Harry?" Tyella asked.
“Judging from the tone of his letter,” Dumbledore pondered, “I suspect he’s here to ask me to punish you severely, and might even ask me to summon the Order of the Phoenix and bring out the same forces that dealt with Gilderoy Lockhart back then to deal with you.”
“Oh, that’s quite a double win,” Tiera said, both mocking and cheerful.
"Leaving aside the rest of the Order of the Phoenix," Tierra said with a smile, "if you really want to ambush me, you'll at least have to offer up the entire wealth of the Golden Book Council, won't you?"
"Oh ho ho ho." Dumbledore laughed like a kind Santa Claus, "It would cost at least the entire fortune of the Golden Book Council."
"So you mean" Tiera.
"So I'm too lazy to argue with him in the letter, so I'll just have him come to Hogwarts and explain to him in person." With that, Dumbledore stood up from behind the table and beckoned Fawkes from the high platform behind him.
"Of course, as is customary, whoever causes the trouble is responsible for cleaning up their mess."
Dumbledore disappeared into the firelight without even saying goodbye.
"Sigh," Tiera sighed helplessly.
Dumbledore's timing for disappearing was extremely clever.
As the last flicker of light disappeared from the principal's office, Tierra sensed Sirius stepping onto the final step leading to the office, standing before the heavy wooden door, and raising his hand—
“Knock knock.”
"Come in." Dumbledore's aged but energetic voice came from the other side of the door.
Sirius straightened his clothes and hair, then pushed open the heavy wooden door.
“Professor Dumbledore,” Sirius said respectfully, though somewhat nervously.
Even though he had graduated for many years, even though he had participated in countless battles, big and small, with the Order of the Phoenix, and even though he had wasted twelve years in the dark Azkaban prison, Sirius still held this centenarian in high esteem. Sirius preferred to call him "Professor Dumbledore" rather than "Mr. Dumbledore".
“Aha, Sirius,” Dumbledore said in a booming voice, standing up from behind his desk, striding forward, shaking hands with Sirius, and then patting him on the shoulder.
“I’m still wondering when you’ll arrive,” Dumbledore said with a smile, then led Sirius to the seat in front of the desk.
"Sorry, I was just having dessert." Dumbledore said, waving his hand towards his desk.
The half-eaten chocolate cream mousse and half-drunk black tea on the desk vanished into thin air as if by dust.
Immediately afterwards, a brand new tea set and several perfectly intact and exquisite desserts appeared on the desk.
"Come, come, come, sit down, Sirius," Dumbledore said with a kind smile.
"Oh, you're too kind," Sirius said, frowning and at a loss for words.
He's here today to confront Tiera and demand an explanation.
Of course, I also want to ask Dumbledore why he colluded with Tyrell.
But Dumbledore's friendly attitude immediately deflated Sirius's momentum, like a punctured balloon.
It simply can't hold up.
"You're here today because of Mundungus Fletcher, right?" Tierra suddenly spoke up as Sirius sat down opposite him and, at Tierra's warm invitation, picked up a cup of tea to take a sip.
“Yes, Professor Dumbledore,” Sirius Black put down his teacup and replied.
"Regarding Mundungus Fletcher's matter, I completely agree with Tyella's approach," Tyella said calmly, adopting the demeanor of Dumbledore.
“But Professor Dumbledore, I’ve already said I won’t pursue this further!” Sirius said. “Besides, there might be some conspiracy behind Tyrell’s targeting of a nobody like Mundungus Fletcher!”
"Oh? A conspiracy?" Tiera raised an eyebrow and asked, "What conspiracy?" How come I don't know anything about it?
"Professor Dumbledore, please use magic to block Tyella's senses!" Sirius said in a low, mysterious voice.
"Oh," Tie stretched out his hand and waved it casually in the air. "Alright, go ahead and say it."
“You must have noticed the mark of the Unbreakable Curse on my wrist before,” Sirius said.
“I noticed,” Tiera said silently.
Isn't this the agreement between you and me?
"Later, because of Tiera's death, the Unbreakable Curse was broken," Sirius said. "But at the time I felt that the dead should be respected. He freed me from keeping the secret, so I should continue to keep it to avoid desecrating the dead."
Tiera:
Well, thank you so much!
So this is where the disagreement between Tierra and Sirius lies.
Even though Tiera had implanted a piece of flesh inside Sirius that could read his thoughts in real time, many of Sirius's thoughts still seemed inexplicable and unbelievable to Tiera.
“You’re such a good person, Sirius,” Tierra said dryly.
“Thank you, Mr. Dumbledore,” Sirius said, with a mix of pride and regret. “Even if Tyella were such a wicked child, I would still maintain the respect due to her.”
"Originally, according to my oath, I meant that even though the Unbreakable Curse had disappeared, since I promised Tiera, I would try my best to keep my promise," Sirius continued.
“Yes, yes. You did the right thing,” Tierra said.
“Normally, I would keep my promise, but this matter is of utmost importance; it concerns Voldemort!” Sirius said.
“Hmm, Voldemort,” Tierra said.
"Heh. You truly deserve to be hailed as the greatest white wizard in history." Sirius chuckled self-deprecatingly. "Even when you encounter news about Voldemort, you remain so calm."
Tiera:
Tiera silently sat up straight.
"I was really shocked when I heard the news!" Sirius said.
“Hmm.” Tierra nodded and said, “Sirius, you really aren’t good at hiding your thoughts. Although you and Harry haven’t spoken for twelve years, I have to say that Harry is still very much like you in this respect.”
"Hmm," Sirius's expression suddenly softened, "Harry is an upright boy too. After we finish talking, may I go see him?"
“Of course.” Tyrell forced a smile, “Hogwarts is a school, not a prison. You can go see it if you want. Now, Sirius, tell me what Tyrell told you about Voldemort?”
“Oh, right, right!” Sirius said, “On Christmas Day in 1993, which was the first Christmas I spent outside after my escape, Tyella asked me to take him to the Black family’s ancestral home, which later became the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, number twelve Grimmauld Place. He took something from a closet on the second floor.”
"What is it?" Tiera asked, reciting the script.
“It was a pendant, a pale gold pendant, like amber,” Sirius said. “Tierra told me that the pendant was related to Voldemort’s life or death, and that destroying the pendant would destroy a part of Voldemort’s power. He didn’t say exactly what it was at the time, but after I looked through our family’s archives, I finally found out what the pendant was!”
“What is it?” Tierra asked.
“It’s a kind of dark magic called Horcruxes,” Sirius said firmly, then looked intently at Dumbledore.
“Very clever, Sirius, very clever,” Tierra praised helplessly.
"You already knew?" Sirius asked in surprise.
“Yes, I knew it all along,” Dumbledore said. “I knew it from the time sixteen years ago when Voldemort wandered the dark, gloomy forests of Albania as an immortal ghost. I knew he must have some way of maintaining his physical body after losing it. Only recently did I learn how many Horcruxes he had.”
"You even know how many Horcruxes he has?" Sirius asked incredulously.
“Seven in total,” Tierra said.
"So there really is more than one Horcrux!" Sirius muttered to himself, leaning back in his seat. "No wonder...no wonder...no wonder."
“No wonder?” Tierra asked.
“Professor Dumbledore, this relates to the reason why Tierra is targeting Mundungus!” Sirius said. “I suspect there’s another Horcrux at Number Twelve Grimmauld Place! And Mundungus accidentally stole that Horcrux, so Tierra wants to control Mundungus to interrogate him about the whereabouts of the other Horcrux!”
"Teara's insistence on sentencing Mundungus to criminal charges is probably an attempt to silence him!" Sirius Black had clearly already conjured up a whole series of scenarios in his mind. "He hasn't even revealed the location of his prison yet; it's too easy for him to make someone disappear without a trace! Professor Dumbledore, we have to save Mundungus!"
“That’s possible,” Tierra sighed helplessly, “but Sirius, have you ever considered that this whole thing happened right under my nose? In fact, I tacitly approved it.”
"Huh?" Sirius was clearly taken aback. "You acquiesced? Why did you acquiesce?"
"First of all, Sirius, I may need to correct you on one point. One of Voldemort's Horcruxes is indeed hidden at number 12 Grimmauld Place, but you are probably already aware of the cause and effect. It was just an accident. Even if it wasn't an accident, given Voldemort's personality, he would never have put two Horcruxes in the same place."
"Secondly, the word 'tacit approval' is not accurate. A more accurate word is that, as the leader of a political party, I have the right to deal seriously with corrupt elements within my party."
"He can steal some of your gold and silver items to sell today, but what about tomorrow?" Tierra retorted.
“Tomorrow he’ll dare to abuse his status as a member of the Order of the Phoenix,” Tierra said decisively. “And the day after tomorrow? The day after tomorrow he’ll dare to bring Voldemort into the Order of the Phoenix headquarters!”
"Therefore, we must severely punish these corrupt elements within the dormitory!"
“We are only pursuing his criminal liability for theft right now,” Tiera said. “I have already given him a break. Otherwise, if we were to investigate him seriously and prosecute him for dereliction of duty, espionage, and endangering national security, he would be facing life imprisonment or even the death penalty.”
