Harry Potter and the Great Old Ones
Chapter 53 Quidditch
Chapter 53 Quidditch
The next morning, the weather was clear and cold. The restaurant was filled with the enticing aroma of roasting sausages, and everyone was excitedly chatting about an exciting Quidditch match.
“You must eat a few bites of breakfast,” Hermione urged.
“I don’t want to eat anything.” Harry absentmindedly fiddled with the ham, egg, and bread on his plate.
"Have some toast," Hermione continued to coax.
"I'm not hungry."
Harry felt terrible. In another hour, he would be heading to the arena.
“Harry, you need to maintain your stamina,” Simon Finigan said. “The Seeker is always the opponent’s primary target.”
“Thank you, Seamus,” Harry said, watching Seamus spread a thick layer of ketchup on his sausage.
At that moment, Tyrell, who was reading a book nearby, took out a piece of chocolate from her pocket and asked the house-elf for a cup of hot milk, which she then pushed in front of Harry.
“If you really can’t eat this, drink some warm milk and eat this chocolate,” Tierra said.
In his past life, he couldn't eat breakfast during his entire senior year of high school, so his father would prepare a cup of hot milk and a piece of slightly bitter dark chocolate for him every morning, which helped him get through the toughest period of his senior year.
However, after the college entrance examination, he never ate dark chocolate again, and even the smell of dark chocolate would make him feel nauseous.
Harry took the dark chocolate and milk, finishing the dark chocolate in a few bites, and even drinking the cup of sweet hot milk that Tyella had specially asked the house-elves to add a little sugar to.
"Phew~" Harry did feel much calmer, and his lips, which were originally bloodless, regained a touch of red. "Thank you, Tyella."
Harry noticed that Tyella wasn't as "clean" as usual today.
Two pale yellow and red diagonal lines were drawn on Tiera's face.
It is the color of Gryffindor.
He was also wearing a huge lion doll hat on his head.
This finally gave Harry the feeling that Tyella was Gryffindor.
Time flew by and it was eleven o'clock. It seemed that all the teachers and students had gathered in the stands around the Quidditch pitch.
Many students also brought binoculars. The seats were practically raised halfway up the wall, but it was still difficult to see the game clearly.
Tierra, Ron, and Hermione moved to the top row to join Neville, Seamus, and West Ham fans Dean.
To surprise Harry, they used a bed sheet stained by the mouse Scabbers to draw a huge banner that read "Potter will win!" Dean, who was good at drawing, also drew a large Gryffindor lion below it.
Then, Tiera waved her wand, making the entire banner twice as big, with the paint shimmering in different colors, as dazzling as neon lights.
"Excuse me, excuse me, make way." Just as the banner was hung up, a gruff voice rang out from behind them.
"Hagrid!"
Tyrell, Ron, and Hermione squeezed together to make room for Hagrid to sit down.
“I just watched it from my little hut,” Hagrid said, patting the large binoculars hanging around his neck. “But that’s not the same atmosphere as watching the game in a crowd.”
As soon as Hagrid sat down, Mrs. Hodge appeared in the center of the arena carrying a suitcase.
“I hope for a clean, fair game,” Mrs. Hodge said, whistling as she opened the box.
The Loitering Ball and the Golden Snitch soared into the sky, while Mrs. Hodge tossed the Quaffle high into the air.
A tense and exciting Quidditch game is about to begin.
The high platform where Tierra is positioned offers a panoramic view and is an excellent spot for watching the game.
However, Tyrell's attention was not on the ball or on Harry, but rather on the teachers' table from time to time.
The use of spiritual dimensions to influence material dimensions, especially the use of black magic, is all traceable.
There are no specific incantations or methods to detect these magical "traces"; it relies entirely on the wizard's own talent and experience. Detecting these "traces" not only helps one better conceal their own "marks," but also helps expose the disguises of other wizards.
For example, the Disillusionment Charm in "Advanced Spellbook", or Transfiguration spells other than those from the Animagus.
Tierra tried to sense this "traces" based on Merlin's notes.
Unfortunately, he failed.
Tiera felt nothing.
I don't know if it's because he himself is incompetent or because the magic of the other young wizards is too weak.
However, a man cannot say no.
If nothing unexpected happens, Voldemort will make his move against Harry during this Quidditch match.
This is the continuous magical output of an adult dark wizard.
The match continued.
Gryffindor got off to a good start, but Slytherin quickly turned the tide.
The match gradually became intense.
Suddenly, Tyella noticed that Harry's broom shook abnormally.
"They're here!" Tierra thought.
While everyone else looked at Harry, Tyrell's eyes were fixed on Quirrell in the teachers' table.
No, nothing.
Tiera was somewhat disappointed; he still hadn't sensed anything.
All I could hear were screams of alarm, and all I could see was a chaotic crowd.
It didn't feel like "a mosquito's wing brushing against the soul" as described in Merlin's Notebooks.
Meanwhile, on the Quidditch pitch, Harry's flying broomstick began to tumble and roll incessantly, and Harry could barely keep from falling.
Suddenly, the flying broomstick twisted wildly again, and Harry was thrown off!
He is now dangling in mid-air, holding the broom handle with only one hand.
"Was there something wrong with the broom handle when Flint bumped into him?" Seamus whispered, guessing.
“Impossible,” Hagrid said, his voice trembling slightly. “Nothing can interfere with a flying broom except powerful dark magic! A child couldn’t possibly cast such a spell on Nimbus 2000.”
Upon hearing this, Hermione grabbed Hagrid's binoculars. Instead of looking up at Harry, she anxiously scanned the crowd.
“What are you doing?” Ron asked.
“I knew it,” Hermione said breathlessly. “It’s Snape! Look!”
Ron grabbed the binoculars.
Snape stood in the middle of the stands opposite them. His eyes were fixed on Harry, and he kept muttering to himself.
"He's up to no good! Snape is casting a curse on his flying broomstick!" Hermione shouted.
"Then what do we do?" Ron's face was ashen.
"Watch me." Hermione turned around decisively.
Before Ron could say another word, Hermione tried to push her way out of the crowd.
"Wait, Hermione!" Tierra grabbed Hermione's arm.
Sorry everyone, I got a little tipsy from a dorm dinner last night, and my head is still a bit foggy. I might only be able to post one update today. I'm very sorry.
